We specialize in comprehensive medical care for your entire family. We are able to provide x-​ray and diagnostic lab tests in our office to help us quickly diagnose and treat your symptoms.

In addition to treating acute illness or injury, we offer: annual adult and child physicals; disease managment (ex: high cholesterol); minor surgical procedures such as laceration repair, mole/​cyst/​toenail removal; cosmetic services BOTOX and Juvederm; tobacco cessation, weight loss and managment; school, sports, and TxDOT physicials; and flu vaccinations.

History

Established in 1987.

Dr. Johnson has practiced in this same location since he opened in February 1987. In 2004 he expanded the office to include 7 exam rooms. In 2010 Dr. Johnson changed the office name to Lakecrest Medical. In 2012, Misty Hornsby-​Odom, FNP joined the practice.

Dr. Johnson graduated from University of Texas at Arlington then, after serving in the armed forces, enjoyed a successful career with a prominent pharmaceutical company. In the early 80’s he applied to medical school in pursuit of his lifelong dream.

In 1985 Dr. Johnson graduated from Texas College of Ostepathic Medicine. He then completed a one year «rotating» internship, which enabled him to further hone his skills in a variety of medical specialities.

Dr. Johnson is board certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He has admitting privileges at Presbyterian Hospital of Rockwall and Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett.

Dr. Johnson’s friendliness and «authentic Southern drawl» seem to put patients quickly at ease, and his attention to detail helps speed them along the road to recovery. He is a favorite of young and old alike, and many patients simply refer to him as «Doc».
