Maritza was just the best made sure I was helped quickly and I got everything I needed plus more . The donuts are all fresh and their breakfast is served all day so it might be there even more often. The donuts are large they are about the same price as Krispy Kreme but there much larger donuts. They taste amazing! Tried the breakfast burrito it was actually really good compared to other places that make them quickly. It’s open 24 hours too so it will feed your craving! Try out the peanut butter frosted jelly donut. Customer service is 5 stars Taste is 5 stars as well Will try the drinks next time!

Would I go back here well that’s yet to be determined. Probably not .I have purchased donuts and they are decent however this ham and cheese croissant is defiantly the worst ever !! I normally go to the mom and pop donut shop up the street but thought I’d try winchell’s. No smile or friendly vibes from the young lady maybe she’s not an early person or might have a lot in her mind. I’m thinking thats why the lack of care she put in to this croissant. I gave 2 stars since the other lady at the counter smiled at the next customer when greeting him.

The breakfast croissants and freshly squeezed juices are always a great idea whenever I’m in a rush and in need of a quick bite!

I don’t come here for the donuts, but from what I’ve tried, they’re okay. For example, the decorative donuts aren’t that good, but the plain/general ones are fine. I come here for their food! The sandwiches are sooo good. I get the bacon turkey avocado hot sandwich. I recommend getting croissant instead of bagels for the sandwiches. But yeah, all in all, this place is fine. Sandwiches are great, donuts are okay, employees are always nice, and the place is 24 hrs. :)

We ordered a bagel sandwich hoping it would look something like the photo. No! It was a microwaved mixture of what looked like dog food on a bagel. Gross and disgusting… Starving, so ate it and left. Spent the rest of the day with a touch of food poisoning. Beware!

I contemplated not writing this review because I felt it was my best kept secret in terms of my place to get mini donuts, but with the great service and experienced I’ve had with this place, I felt I had to! First thing… Like I said, they have mini donuts! I’ve been there several times and they take preorders and will custom make a certain type if they have the glaze to make it. Mini donuts make such a great addition to the dessert table and they make it the perfect two bite dessert! Second…every employee who have helped me have been more than friendly and accommodating. Seriously love this place!

I’ve lived in Rowland Heights for over 16 years and have just recently started coming to this Winchell’s. It’s been here forever and has lasted even though Crispy Kreme donuts is a couple miles away so I finally came in to see what made them so special to have lasted this long. As soon as I came in, I had a very nice warm greeting by their staff. I just feel a little bad when I’m not sure about what to order and they actually have a huge breakfast menu with breakfast bagels/burritos/iced drinks. So the only this is that I felt a little too pressured to order so quickly… and usually when I do that I’m not too happy with what I order –_– I’ve ordered their bagel sandwiches which are really good. Perfect for on-the-go and I really like their onion bagel! Have yet to try any of their donuts, actually… But other than that, they have a good selection of donuts and their coffee is good. They have free wifi too which make it a cool little place to hang out as an alternative to Starbucks. Nice private lot and some little seating inside with T.V. where I can catch some of the news while I wait for my order. Glad this place is on my way to work… definitely a cheaper option than Starbucks when I’m on a budget :)

The donuts and their turkey bacon avocado sandwich tastes great, but the service is bad. The lady wasn’t very friendly every single time that I go there. Other than that, this place is great. Its close by my house too.

Been on a donut-craze lately & I’ve come to realize that I’ve never tried donuts from here. I was tired of Krispy Kreme donuts & I already know majority of the mom&pop places are good, so I decided to pop by here & see whats up. Service sucked first of all. They were not nice and I felt like they were rushing me. I got two sausage, egg & cheese bagels(one on an everything bagel, one on a jalapeño bagel) instead of the jalapeño, he got the onion one, and when i corrected him — he gave me the nastiest look. Aside from that & the wait — the bagels are delicious. I believe it was $ 3.49? It was a huge portion. I couldn’t finish mine, so of course, the boyfriend gets to have more. Donuts — i got three mini sprinkle donuts. i get sprinkle donuts EVERYWHERE — that’s what i base my donut stores on. Weird right? lol. The donuts were nice and fluffy. Very likely that i’ll come back, but maybe to a different location.

Hands down my favorite coffee place in Rowland Heights! Been coming here for about 5 years. It has been remodeled; the place has free Wi-Fi, new tables etc, looks great! I come here every morning for my large coffee great vibe everybody is always nice even the customers know me by now. It’s a bit of a rush hour from 8−9am since everybody is going to work have patience, especially when everybody is ordering a bagel at the same time it slows down the line. Their turkey avocado bagel sandwiches are worth the wait DELICIOUS! The service is great and friendly!

This is going to be a quick, and to the point review. I wanted bear claws — BADLY. This was one of the only donut joints open at the time of my manancy cravings(pregnancy cravings — but for fattie guys like me), so I stopped by. Donut lady was unfriendly, cashier scowled when I didn’t give her a tip(what? O_O), the bear claw/donut holes/maple bars that I bought were ALL dry, and the coffee I ordered was only filled to about ¾ of the way, and they didn’t fill to the brim while I was still at the counter and I said I didn’t want to use cream/sugar. DONE. NOMORE.

STOP! This will be my shortest review ever! Nothing to say except the donuts are NOBUENO! NOTGOOD. Dry. Dry. Dry. Need I say more? Don’t fall for it! I took a bite from one donuts and threw the rest in the trash. They look pretty but it doesn’t taste as good as it looks. This is one the places where my mom is right«it looks good but don’t taste good» is what she always says when we’re passing by a place that sells pastries, cakes, or baked goods. I think she just doesn’t want me to buy anything lol. And FYI I’m not a donut snob or one who eats donuts. I rarely eat them. I also bought a bagel sandwich that I was really disappointed with. The menu said bacon and egg so I thought I was going to get a piece of egg and a whole bacon but it was scrambled with tiny pieces of bacon in it. I felt like I was just eating a bagel egg sandwich. Or more like an omelette sandwich?! Where’s the bacon! I demand a whole piece of bacon! If anyone can direct me to a good place that makes a good bagel breakfast sandwich, please let me know! I used to work in Anaheim and down the road was a tiny bakery and I used to go there just for their bagel sandwich! You could pick any bagel you want and I think I picked jalepeno with cheese. They would toast it just right. Some places don’t toast it long enough and it makes me sad. And they would add tomato, egg, and real whole bacon! Oh and cheese! OMG. I don’t care I’m a vegan. I can cheat for a day! No one will know but me! Who in their right mind can just ditch bacon like that. Anyway, this place, put it on your places to avoid, please. I should have just gone to Krispy Kreme since it’s not that far away. They have a drive thru, and chocolate milk. Would have been 1 star but I gave it an extra star for being open 24⁄7 like most other donut shops and they do have fresh juices and fresh fruits when in season. If you got the munchies, this place is always open.

Horrible girl working at the counter. My fiancé & I walked in with the idea that we wanted to buy donuts, BUT I also had to use the bathroom really badly.(Stomach was hurting, just got surgery not too long ago, etc you know the drill…) Well, guess what — this girl gives me the whole thing«No public bathrooms.» And I asked her — well then where do you pee??? She says, «OH Here. But I can’t let you use the bathroom.» I said why? I look at her with the most surprising look. And she basically lies to me and says«SORRY I can’t let you use the bathroom here… I’ll get fired. And I’m new.» HONESTLY…if you actually cared about your customers and you actually want people to COME to winchell’s more,(SOYOUCANKEEPYOURJOB, LADYBECAUSEWEKNOWHOWITCANBEWHENPATRONSDONOTLIKETHISPLACE –IT’LLCLOSEEVENTUALLY)…then you would be nice to your clients. BUTNO. I honestly see this place closing soon. So either she risks getting fired but nice to her clients, or she’ll eventually lose her job anyway, and lose guests. I will be telling my family and friends to steer away from this Donut house. It SUCKS and they need to hire better workers or this place WILLCLOSE. It has a HORRIBLE reputation on Unilocal already… so you know it’s not me making this stuff up. It’s all true. All real.

Hmm, came here after a midnight showing of Man of Steel. Place was empty, very expected at 4 am. I purchased a chocolate glazed doughnut. It was alright, it wasn’t as good as when i was growing up. I think the quality is slipping. Now the physical location was nice and one of the new layout. They have many new things since the last time i was at Winchell’s. They serve breakfast items and bagels, I say come here if you can’t find a better mom and pop store.

I am writing on behalf of a person who wants to stay anonymous, but from what I have heard, this place’s management and customer care is not very good. I will try not to slant or rant, but apparently, this person had coffee spilled on them and as any working person would know, this just puts a bad taste to the rest of the day. The servers(maybe because they were young and unexperience?) chuckled at the matter and did not apologize.(forgot?maybe?) And after a talk with the manager, the general response was still a sarcastic apology. I think that servers’ jobs are tough as it is, but in principle you should apologize whenever you tread on a stranger’s toes let alone a customer that is giving you money… sorry but boo to bad service!

So I saw a friend on Facebook post a picture of her Winchell’s iced coffee and I was inspired to go and try the coffee(yeah, Facebook is powerful, guys. You gotta admit), as I have also seen Winchell’s coffee ads for quite a while now. Luckily for me, there’s this Winchell’s location smack dab in the sea of Korean plazas on Colima. So I ordered a vanilla iced coffee and… the second the girl working handed it to me, I figured something was kinda off, as the coffee didn’t look the slightest brown. One sip later, and I already knew she put too much half and half or water(IDK…whatever it was that she put). I was pretty disappointed, but I figured it was only $ 2 so… what the heck. But I know now that if I want some $ 2 iced coffee, McD’s premium iced coffee will be my go-to, as it’s never failed to please me. However, Winchell’s had a lot of different blended/frappuccino looking coffees I had not tried, so I’m giving this place a 2 star rating as benefit of the doubt. I look forward to trying those in the future before forming a more concrete opinion about Winchell’s coffee.

so i was craving a sugar high, so i stopped by winchells to grab a donut. i walked up to winchells and almost walked away because i thought they were closed. All the lights were off, and there was nobody at the counter. I tried opening the door anyway, and i was surprised the door actually opened! i walked in and i saw a women in the back of the room. we made eye contact and i greeted her with a hello. She went, «eh…what do you want?» O_____________________________O uh, idk… A DOUGHNUT? i walked out.
