Small, but good enough of a selection offered. I come by here when I’m just looking to check out the newest set of Japanese mange translated to Chinese, or the top 10 best sellers in Taiwanese books. I think they also do rental/browsing as well, saw a sign posted for $ 1.50 an hour. Which I will agree is much cheaper than coming in and buying the entire set of a manga series(which I seem to do every time I’m back in Cali and visit this place…), but at the same time since I haven’t tried it, can’t say for sure whether the selection on that is any good :)

If you can’t read Chinese, there isn’t much for you at this bookstore. Unlike their Richmond, Pacific East Mall(Northern California) location which has cute greeting cards, pens, stickers, San X merchandise, plush animals, keychains and so forth, this location has a lot less of the non-book merchandise. If you do read Chinese, Kingstone seems to have a good selection of Chinese language books and magazines, including adult magazines, cooking, and so forth. They charge you $ 1.50 an hour to read their materials(I’ve never seen this before). The strict rules about paying to read gave me the impression that it wasn’t a friendly shop. I did admire the Hello Kitty head air fresheners but I saw them at other shops in town.
