Firestone

There are many, many bad firestone shops out there but this is not one of them. You must take into consideration that they are all owned by different people and you cannot assume they’re the same. This shop is owned and managed personally by Mr. Gih himself and I can honestly say he is an automotive purist. I had the chance to speak with him briefly while waiting for my car and discovered he is a collector of cars and motorcycles, modern and classic. He is a true gearhead and is actually passionate about his job, which is very rare nowadays. I’ve brought all of my family’s and my own cars here for a few years for both big and small repairs, and the prices have always been reasonable. The guys that work for him are also pretty good.
From my experience, the best time to come is on the weekdays. Weekends are always busy and your service will most likely be quicker on weekdays.

The parents always come here to get their car tuned and fixed. If you can win over my folks, that says a lot! Came here for my very first time to get a wheel patched up. Service was quick and David was super nice. Reminds me of a kind Asian dad.
Anyhow, I noticed some people complained about the price in their reviews. Everyone wants $$$$$ work and pay $ for it. Drives me nuts!!! Take an Econ class, that’s not how it works. Also, prices are posted in the waiting area upon entry.
These folks did excellent work and I feel the amt I paid is justified for the precious cargo (aka the people in my life) I drive around.

Very disappointing experience I ever had. They failed to fix my car and the whole process took a month. A waste a time and money. I will not come back again.

DANNY was cool. Went in to get my oil change. Got service quick. Will be coming here again and will be recommending this place to others.

These guys are great. I went to pep boys after making an appointment for 8am. I had my confirmation email with me but my appointment didn’t show up in their system. Then they said that two people were already there for their appointment so my appointment would be at 11am. Even when I had my confirmation email! I had to get my oil changed within the hour so I came over here. Walked in, no appointment or anything! They were super friendly too. It was $ 26.95 and was done within 30 minutes and they didnt try to sell me anything else or tell me anything was «wrong» with my car like most other places do. Fair price, friendly people and fast. Definitely will be taking my business here again.

Rhyan molina got an excellent salesman to buy 2 new tires to pick up later on today. excellent service how to block and they’re having free food and drinks outside this location. Come on down and get your tires free food and free drink

The service here is great.
David is very sweet and helpful.
We always come here for our oil changes and car issues.
Oil changes take about 30min, but they are usually done before then.
We trust this shop with our cars.
We had an issue with one of our cars. We had to get our motor replaced, our car is now working better than it originally had been!
It’s hard to find a place where you can get great and quick service. As well as finding a trustworthy shop.
So far this place has been the best.

I came her few weeks ago to change my sister’s car tires. The service was great I love using the discounts I got some sort of credit card and works good for to lower the prices. It took i little longer for the card to be done but all good.

This place overcharges. Went here to ask the owner how much to mount a new tire on a wheel, I would bring him the wheel off the car and the tire, he says $ 30, what a ripoff, it cost less than $ 10 at Walmart. No wonder this place isn’t busy.

David is awesome! He does good work for a fair price. No nonsense. I won’t take my car elsewhere!

I got my oil changed here today, and I was pretty happy with their service. Davie helped me, and he was very nice. He even walked over to the Carls Jr. next door to ask me if I wanted to change my air filter and to tell me when my car was done. Compared to Northern California prices, this place is very cheap. If you check in on Unilocal here, you also get $ 5 off. Just less stars because the location is not as ideal — Carls Jr. was my only option of what to do while waiting.

What I want to say is this place is suck. I went this store and asked for pumping the air. The guy, Ted, with unfriendly manner, didn’t talk to me much. He just asked me back off. At the end, he said he couldn’t fix my tire. I told him that I would go some where else. He wanted to charge me $ 8. I replied, «isn’t pumping air free?». He said checking the tire is not free. I told you from the beginning to the end, I didn’t ask for the checking. In addition, he didn’t communicate that he was going to check my tire and it’s not free.
Ted is rude. He said «FUCK». I don’ t know how this guy got this job. I would like to say, «Don’t go this place. There are couple good choices in that area»

I don’t understand the 5 stars that has been given to this spot. I need to warn every one of you who goes here, THEY WILL TRY AND RIP YOU OFF. I have gone here a couple of times for their early bird special oil change…
1^st time I went, the man behind the counter was an elderly Mexican man that just did the oil change and that was it. This made me go back a few more times but I never saw him again. The next couple of times I went there was an elderly Asian man who (I’m not over exaggerating) immediately began finding reasons to charge me extra for my oil change. Saying something about my filter wasn’t the right one for the special given on the oil change or some nonsense. Which I knew not to be true since I had just gotten an oil change there without any of his «reasons» brought up the 1^st time (and from knowing my car FYI /​Know your car ladies).
I regrettably brushed this off as a bad mix up and went back for my 3^rd and final time. This time he (the same elderly Asian man) said my coolant was leaking and it needed to be changed immediately. When I asked how he knew this (there wasn’t any previous leakage that I had noticed) he showed me some random stain under the hood and said this was how. I unfortunately believed him. Thankfully because I didn’t personally know when to know there is a coolant leak I declined his $ 300 offer to fix it then and there and took it home to further investigate.
THANKFULLY I DID THIS. After going online and seeing how to check yourself for a coolant leak (leave a cardboard under your car over night, any stains mean there’s a leak for sure) and also asking a mechanic friend of mine, I found out that I was being screwed over BIG TIME (No stains of course after my cardboard test btw).
Finally, the last story I have is my fault. I had recommended this spot to my sister in the beginning when I had 1^st went there and forgot to update her on my fallout with this place. She went and unfortunately was told the same nonsense about her coolant AND air filter. She ended up forking up about 200 bucks on her car on top of her oil change she initially went for. coincidence? if you’re intelligent you’ll know it’s not.
IF that’s not reason enough to stay away from this place then good luck. Maybe it’s just the «gentleman» behind the counter I’ve been dealing with and not the actual place and other workers, but I’m here to tell you it’s a shady spot. STAY AWAY.

This place is awesome. This is one of the few remaining honest repair shops around. David or ‘Davie’ as many call him is an automotive encyclopedia.
Don’t be fooled by the «Firestone» name and categorize them as a basic repair shop like a corporate «Firestone» location. This one is independent owned and does much more than you can imagine. They service everything from imports, domestics and Europeans.
I have seen Davie and Sal work on everything from modern European sports cars to older vintage cars. It seems like a lot of local residents trust this location and the owner here to work on their car. Their pricing is reasonable and competitive. Remember you do get for what you pay for. Although they might not be the cheapest, when you factor in the quality of service, timeliness and customer service this place is a bargain!
Some other shop might rip you off by selling you unnecessary repairs but Davie is legit. There have been times he’s told me some repairs are unnecessary even though they’re recommended by others. Long story short, I stumbled upon this shop when one of my older cars was diagnosed with a list of issues. I took it here for a second opinion and Davie said I didn’t need ¾th of it. The other ¼th he repaired either for free or minimal cost. He literally saved me thousands. Very rarely will someone take your car in, work on it and not charge you. Good honest shops like this is what we need in a sea of flooded repair shops.
He’s taken care of oil changes on all my cars from my Toyota to my Porsche 997.1 Turbo. He’s very meticulous, he torqued all the bolts to spec on my cars and used OEM filters, drain plugs and crush washers. On the Porsche he used Motul 8100 which I provided. You can bring in your own fluids here and he’ll be more than happy to use them. He has a great selection of fluids as well.
I’ve ordered countless Bridgestone and even Michelin Pilot Super Sport and Sport Cup 2 tires through this location. Don’t be fooled by the exterior, Davie is a motorsports guy at heart. I’ve seen a few track prep’ed cars getting coilover adjusted and alignments being performed. Like I said above, they can handle it all.
Davie is good about saving used parts too to show the customer prior to them picking up the car. This ensure customers that he work was actually carried out! Don’t worry, he stands behind his work too. I’ve had some small issues here and there and he was more than happy to accommodate me right away.
They’re open on both Saturday and Sunday as well. There are not a lot of places that remain open on the weekends either so this is a niche they’re filling.
Carl’s Jr is right next door or they have a waiting room with TV. Davie is pretty good about waiting for customers to pickup cars if they’re running late. A few times he’s even offered to drop me off/​pick me up out of courtesy. These people here really go out of their way to make you feel at home.
Definitely will come back, we need more honest people like this. Thanks again for the great service!

This is NOT A LEGIT Firestone! They are using the name of Firestone on their store front, but they do not honor the lifetime alignment that was purchased from a different Firestone!!? Thats BS!

Recently, my wife was recommended by Cosco for a pair of Bridgestone tires at this tire dealer, since Cosco did not have the correct size tire. As a result, they install the 14″ Bridgestone Tires with no problem. Two weeks later, I noticed all four center Toyota Wheels Caps were missing.
I told my wife about the situation, and the next morning, she went over to the tire dealer, explaining that they forgot to replace the wheel caps back on to the wheel. She told me that they had no Toyota Wheels Caps left behind according to the person she spoke to.
However, the service technician said he will gladly sell her a set of Toyota Wheel Caps. She told him, that is not why I’m here for and left the establishment. Coincidence or inadvertence or a plain and simple rip off? You be the judge. They are crooks and deserve no stars as far as I’m concern.

I have been coming here consistently for 3 years (oil changes, tire repair, brake service, and transmission flush), and they never fail to exceed my expectations.
As previously noted in other reviews, David is amazing! He is such a sweet man that always welcomes his customers with a sweet smile. Even when I first started going here after I moved, he remembered me each time and greeted me by name as I walked in. (He even remembered me when I called in!)
Anyways, the other workers are also great! They are SPEEDY and will even check extra maintenance issues for you. I find their prices very affordable, especially with the coupons available online.

David is awesome! He is honest, and only recommends service that is necessary. Prices are slightly higher than Firestore Complete Care stores, but it’s worth the marginal difference.
It’s hard to find a good mechanic, and now that I’ve found one, I’m staying a loyal customer.
BTW, my husband asked if he could match another shop’s price on tires, and he was able to beat the price.
As mentioned by one of the previous Unilocalers Melody, the Carl’s Jr next door is a great place to wait. Let David know you are there and he’ll go over to get you if there are questions or when your car is ready.
David has worked on both my Audi and Infiniti and he does a great job.

Like John G. have been coming here for years for everything ranging from an oil change to AC problems. Admittedly a family friend, but David will always take care of you, won’t rip you off, and he and his crew know what they’re doing.
If you’re getting an oil change, it’s convenient because you can head on over to Carl’s Jr. next door and eat while you wait =)
