99 Cents Only Stores

I was able to find everything I need. The staff were courteous and helping me finding the right stuff. Instead of buying them bulk the products were much smaller in size at bargain prices.

This place was good for all of the merchandise you can buy for 99 cents or lower. The carts were small, but I suppose it was okay for the aisles. There were some no-​name brands (at least to me) and some well-​known brands. It was definitely good to stock up on drinks for our road trip. From what I could remember, there were six cans of soda for 99 cents which sounded good to me. A lot of the aisles looked organized but some were a little messy. We also bought some oranges which were just okay but were cheap. The lines to pay were a little long but what do you expect for a 99 cents store. I thought this place was not bad for buying stuff for cheap.

Since this place opened a few years back I have been coming to this location since it was close to me. Most of the items are 99 cents or a dollar so I cannot really complain on the price since it has most of the items that I need. The store has a good quality selection but doesn’t have as many clothing items as the other 99 cent stores that I have gone through. Good if you need something and customer service is alright not the best however if you need help finding an item.

I love these places they have so much good stuff for 99 cents.(1.00 if you nasty).
I can go here and pick up macaroni, potatoes, chips, soup, chef Bo, and a ton of other good stuff and not feel the hurt. I like to get 21 cans of chef and survive on that for a week sometimes so 21 bucks for a week of food. Works for me.
Also bug gallo. Waters for 69 cents.
Seriously it may not be the best selection but it’s all good prices and stuff I’d pay much more format other stores.

.99 cent stores used to be a good place to shop. IMO, they have went down hill, over the years.
#1. Nothing in the store cost .99 cents. They actually cost $ 1.00. They have a notice that tells you this, posted on the door. For this, I think they should do a name change because their current name is misleading. They should change they name to «Just Under a Dollar».
#2. At this particular store, the produce is really bad. Went there today and saw bananas going bad, being sold for .49 cents a pound. That is disgusting. Not only were the bananas bad peaches, celery, apples and peppers were bad as well. What ever happened to letter grades or health inspections. There are some violation codes being broke here.

Best place to stretch your buck or even a couple!!!
This is a great place to go to for all your little knick-​knacks and accessories. It also has a whole aisle dedicated to just candy! Everyone says the best way to their heart is through their stomach, but I say the best way is through my sweet tooth.
You can find all kinds of things here ranging from scrapbooking materials to fruits and veggies. I’ve even been able to find some usually very expensive meats and cheeses in the back of the fridge. A lot of the time I come here to pick up one or two things and end up leaving with a nice sized goodie bag.
I usually come here to get little things depending on the holiday. You can find Easter baskets or Christmas decorations for much cheaper than other places.
The location is somewhat run-​downed looking and doesn’t seem to be the cleanest place but I think it is still worth walking down the packed aisles to find some cheap deals. Also, there’s plenty of parking at this location.
Overall, you will be surprised at what you can find for cheap that these stores.

This is a great place to get hand tools and washers. A honda oil change nut washer costs 0.50 cents. Though not the same quality or material the 99 cents store has 50 washers for 0.99 cents. I consider this s superb deal.
Out side I met a homeless family and gave them some help.

Usually, I go in needing to buy 1 item and come out with 5 other things or so. Granted, it is true that not all items bought here are cheaper than other stores but it is for the convenience of having everything all in one location. $ 1 really does not go far these days but coming here, it helps stretch it just a bit.
Lots of variety here: condiments, pampering items (lotion, shampoo, and etc), vegetables & fruit, lots of bread, snacks, stationary, wrapping paper, and the list goes on! So many deals to find!
Being in the LA ordinance area, they no longer provide shopping bags since last June 2012, just like the 99 Ranch Market down the street and others in the same area. Just make sure to bring a shopping cart in with you or bring your own bag. Not a big issue.
Parking lot is not the greatest or the cleanest but it is spacious.

this place usually have better stuff than the other 99 cents store, they sometimes have blueberries (get your antioxidants on boo)
plus theres plenty of parking but dont think you can get away with getting a plastic bag for free (or paper bag) they charge a whopping 10 cents for each bag!
so either bring your own bag or carry a bunch of top ramen soup with your 2 hands
be careful, theres always that guy asking for money in the corner (give him like 20 cents at least yo, he could use it)
by the way, if you drive a lowered car, dont think you can pull it off driving out of the parking lot to colima, your car will scrape trust me, it’s like a grand canyon out there

I shopped around this 99 Cent’s Only Store’s while waiting for food from Tasty Station, next door. The store is located in a center by itself with restaurants and shops. They had plenty of shopping carts in front of the store, so you don’t have to go find one your self like at some other 99 Cent’s Only Store’s. They had plenty of hand baskets around the store too. The variety of selection of products and goods are the basic stuff you’ll find at any other 99 Cent’s Only Store. 4 stars since it’s an awesome store because of the prices!

I was very impressed with this store. They have a wide selection of produce (fruits, veggies, eggs, milk, bread, etc), spices, bake mixes, candies, decoration (Christmas time), and more. There were several people shopping for groceries here as well as for simple everyday items. They do well to commit to their «99 cent only» claim. Though some things are below that price or above (2.99 gallon of milk), many things are good deals. We only came to look around before we went for dim sum at Hong Kong Palace, but my friend ended up getting ramen, bowls, and dried fruits (bananas/​prunes) for his camping trip. And, I got some 59 cent baking soda.
I’d definitely recommend popping in to look around if you have some free time while in the area. It’s clean, colorful, and neat!

Average 99 only store and staff is nice. This store is usually very clean. That’s about it

Since I come here occasionally when I need to pick up some easy gift wrap/​holiday bags, thought I’d give in my 2 cents for 99 cents store.
A lot of people get shocked when I tell them I shop here. Why not? Just like any other market/​supplies store, stationary’s mark up is the highest in the retail industry, so believe it or not, for 99 cents they STILL make money off of it, just bit less than other places. So things you find here are the same stuff you find at Walmart, Target. Obviously the brand and quality could be a tad off, but I always find things here: mailing envelopes, kitchen supplies, bathroom essentials. Things I know I will toss after a month or two, I don’t mind buying the cheaper kinds and just switch them out more frequently.
This store is one of the bigger ones in terms of size. Location is convenient, I believe they extended to 10pm during the holiday season. The cash registers’ line’s a bit long, but usually if I’m not in a rush it’s not biggie.
I found a fair amount of gift bags for xmas, holidays wrappings are so so but it’s only 1 $ so I picked up a couple cute ones. Holiday cards I’m a bit more picky about so I usually get them at Target or stationary stores since they have better designs.
I think at any bargain store, you just have to spend the time and dig through, you’ll probably find at 5 items you like. For my grade school brother, I always pick up some crayons, color pencils, paper, and fun activitiy books. They are inexpensive + great stocking items for the holidays.
I never purchase food items here. I am extremely particular with food, and I know they have sold expired products here so I pass. I never purchase cosmetics either, or any health items. I prefer pharmacy/​Target for these items.
Great selection of holiday candies as well for your co workers/​friends/​stocking stuffers. I wasn’t able to find holiday basket (just the basket itself) so that’s kind of a bummer. Overall 3 stars.

There’s some magic ratio between the # of items I’m purchasing, the amount of money I’m spending, and the amount of time I’m willing to wait in line.
You’d think that the cheaper an item is, the more I’m willing to wait, but there’s something that makes me pretty impatient about waiting in line for 10 minutes to buy a 99cent pack of zip ties I need on the fly.
Decent selection, well stocked… but beware the carts with 50 items. These lines really don’t move fast.

I usually come here to buy tupperware, batteries, stationary, bathroom supplies, cleaning supplies and kitchen stuff. I’m still kinda sketchy on buying food here. What if they’re expired or old? I dunno. Just saying.
Oh yeah, if you are a LAKER fan or HELLO KITTY lover, you can often find their knick knacks here. :)
Yesterday, I was here to look for a wrench. Seriously. they have EVERY tool you can think of… except a damn wrench!

This is an old school 99 cent only store. This store has been here for a very long time… and by the looks of some of their displays, some of the items in the store have been here since they opened. The store is clean and kept up pretty well. The people are friendly and helpful also. This store is kept up much nicer than some of the other stores, and I am sure it is because of the neighborhood. Keep in mind that it is a 99 cent only store, not Saks Fifth Avenue. You can find great deals here, but don’t expect top of the line merchandise. If you have a good eye, you can find some brand name items for a steal. Beware though, not all deals are good. Some of the items you can get cheaper at Walmart or other stores on sale.

When time comes for big national holidays, especially Christmas, you can find me in the decorations department or party supplies aisle for the cheap and disposable party items. One year they had cute star-​shaped cupcake tins for 99 cents, beats buying them in the grocery stores!
You will NOT find me in the food aisle because I don’t know, all the food items there are like from Planet Questionable. Many of them are so questionable to the point that you wonder if you’d get tumors or turn into members of Planet Questionable after consuming their food items. For some reason the knock-​off brands of brands like Oreo gets shelf space in the 99 Cent store. I guess those poor Mr. Penguin crackers or whatever needs to find its channel of distribution one way or another!
To sum it all up, 99 Cent Stores are where you find the cheap and disposable items that will not hurt you a bit when throwing them away.
This 99 Cents Store is actually pretty well kept and neat. One thing I don’t understand is why the register makes weird noises whenever it rings up an item. So if you’ve got like 100, good luck.
I also don’t understand how I manage to spend a lot sometimes buying random crap. I guess $ 1.07 (tax incl.) x the amount of crap you manage to collect throughout the store = a whole lotta $.
