Best breakfast tacos in Round Rock! Friendly, funny family that runs the place and amazing house made flour tortillas. The green and red salsas are very good as well. I live in Austin but work in the area and this might be my favorite in both places.(Or perhaps tied with TacoDeli.). Speedys rules!

This is good mexish chow and the guys running this place are hilarious. My new breakfast favorite. Everything I tried was awesome, I just feel bad I didn’t discover them earlier.

The tacos are bland, dry and slopped together with mediocre ingredients. They charge a convenience fee to use credit or debit. I will not return. Next time i will just wait in the long line at juarez bakery. There is a reason you have to wait there, they make good tacos.

Place is called Speedy Tacos but they have way more than that. I went with friends who didn’t want anything specific on menu and Jessie was like«I got you guys covered, let me know what you want» They made exactly what my friends wanted! Talk about going out of your way! LOVETHISPLACEANDWILLBEBACK… They made me and my friends really comfortable and it was all our first times there…

My boyfriend and I got take-out, and had a pretty decent experience. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries, and he had a burger and a breakfast taco. Good: Super friendly staff; very helpful and welcoming. Whataburger sized burger for less than $ 4! It was also significantly tastier than what you could get from a fast-food joint for $ 4. Meh: Despite their claim to be «speedy,» they were average at best. There weren’t any other customers there, so I expected the food to come out faster. However, the server did tell me about the wait right away, so I wasn’t that ticked off. Bad: Fries. I’ll probably come back again. Their burger and staff were above average, and it’s pretty close to my office.

I know it’s crazy getting a burger at a place called Speedy Tacos, but it was worth it. Great burger, fair prices and excellent customer service.

They were speedy and they were good. I hate being nickle and dimed for cheese on a freaking breakfast taco though. 5 stars if they just included it. The taco itself was really good and 2 of them filled me up. The tortilla tasted homemade, whether it was or not. And the egg, bacon and potatoes were all homemade as well. And super fresh. I’ll be back, and even sooner if they quit charging for cheese.

We saw speedy tacos on our way home after dropping or car off for repairs at a nearby shop. We thought we’d stop in for a quick breakfast and to try an unfamiliar taco shop in the area. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted immediately by speedy himself + staff. Their chalupas, carne guisada tacos, and breakfast tacos are amaze balls. Sure, you can get these items pretty much from any given taco shop, but what topped our experience here was the memorable service and interaction with the staff. Great environment and speedy even came out with a complimentary Mexican dessert — such a sweet gesture! I would highly recommend this place — also a great local/family environment! We will definitely be back! Thank you, speedy + speedy taco staff! –Lexi & Chelsea

Speedy’s used to make my favorite tacos anywhere in Austin, now the quality has dropped below even Taco Bell(actually, I’d rather eat at Taco Bell than Speedy’s). Their carne guisada and chicharrones were my favorite ever. However, it seems they forgot how to salt the guisada, and the chicharrones are flavorless and overcooked. They seem less concerned with quality and customer service, than they do about making their business look like it’s run by drunken frat boys. The menu has wantonly stupid and intentional misspellings of common words, and the interior has crappy swag everywhere. I wish I could have some positive things to say, but this place has just went completely downhill. I won’t be going back.

A couple of years ago, an ice storm forced us to stop for the night in RR. I asked at the ½ price books for Mexican food and was sent to a place I wish I could find again. This time in the quest to find the place again we came upon Speedy’s. It’s an all family operation run by «Speedy» Gonzales. We had a spread of three varieties — brisket, chicharron, and barbacoa — every one of them great and exemplary. This isn’t a hipster joint given to weird cutting edge cuisine — it’s about«casera» beginning with maybe the best flour tortillas you’ll get outside your abuelita’s kitchen. The deal sealer, though, was Speedy coming over to find out who we were and how we got there. What followed was his making up a couple of his very special carne al pastor tacos for us, insisting that we couldn’t leave without trying his favorite. To tell the truth, I couldn’t choose a best among the four. My wife voted a tie between the special and the barbacoa. No way I could choose. If you’re near RR, it’s time for your taco fix, and you don’t need a «name» chain to tell you what’s good, consider Speedy’s. Not fancy, just really good. And if you’re lucky enough to catch Speedy’s attention, let him tell you what’s more special than the food. I won’t spoil the story, but once you know it, you’ll leave a generous tip. ¡Buen provecho! Great friendly staff when you walk through the door especially if it’s your first time. But once they mess up your order or there is a minor misunderstanding with your order then you’ll catch the rudeness. Tacos here were cheap but I will never come back after this visit. I have worked in customer service before and even when the customer is wrong you are not suppose to be rude to them. I wasn’t complaining to get a free taco nor was it in a rude tone since they have always been friendly to me. And yes they don’t care if they lose a customer. Oh well!

Cheap breakfast tacos, fast service, friendly staff! Went there this morning for breakfast and was in and out within 10 minutes and my tacos were steaming hot & fresh! I ordered two bacon and egg tacos and wasn’t disappointed. First, the tacos are $ 1.35 and you get to choose two items: egg, potato, bacon, sausage, chorizo, and bean. Cheese is(from what I remember) an extra $ 0.30. The tacos are also rather large. Considering the price, you would expect them to be small. I ate at 9AM and those tacos held me over until lunch at 1PM. Some have complained that the eggs aren’t seasoned, which is true, but it didn’t bother me and for the price, I have no complaints. I will continue to get breakfast from them. :)

I love to buy breakfast tacos here. I suggest the a chorizo potato and bacon taco. It is delicious! The flour tortillas are awesome as well! The price is a little high though, but that hasn’t stopped me from coming back.

The food is great and the customer relations is awesome. Nothing like being called by your first name when you walk in. A very Cheers feel if you will, those that remember the awesome show. Anyway Speedy is speedy with your order. I’m addicted to the bean and cheese tacos and Al Pastor.

Happened to be in the area and decided to check out Speedy Tacos. I can only give my opinion on the breakfast tacos. Had Bacon and egg and had the egg and potato. Both were good in size and quality. Prices were good also. The place has a southern comfort sort of feel to it. You could tell there were many«regulars» there. Overall impressed at the simplicity and efficiency. Gotta try lunch next time.

Upon entry we were excited by the authentic experience. Unfortunately, the tacos were far from the best we’ve had. Our tray had an array of carnitas, pastor, chiccarones, and Carne guisada tacos all on corn tortillas. The sign outside claims house made tortillas but they were dry and not fresh tasting. The meat wasn’t very tender either.

Their tortillas are the best in the Round Rock/Austin area. No one else’s breakfast tacos even compare. Their gorditas are also amazing. They have menudo available on Saturdays/Sundays and I have yet to try it but it seems a lot of people come in for that. My one criticism is that some of the food can be a little greasy(some of the breakfast plates and also the chicken fried steak). However, everything still tastes great! They offer a LOT of menu items, and will serve breakfast items any time of day(and the same goes for lunch items). They even make waffles. The dining area is a little cramped but they’ve recently moved the tables around a bit & this has improved things. Speedy’s seems to be a family-run business and everyone there is very friendly and welcoming!
