Had them install a Flow-​master exhaust on my new Dodge Ram 1500. They did a great job and I could not be happier. The price was great and the service was quick. I would def come back again to have them do other work on my truck. They also charged me less then what was quoted over the phone. Not too many business will do that !

Came to get my vehicle inspection. It was one of the few places open on a Saturday. I walked in and thought it looked a bit grungy (it could use some upgrades) but the service was great! I was in and out in about 20 minutes! I will definitely go back! Don’t let the grunge look steer you away. It’s a good place!

I have a dynomax muffler installed by another muffler place 2yrs ago. When the dealership installed my new catalytic converter (free under warranty), the exhaust pipe somehow moved enough to were the catalytic was rubbing on the cross member and causing some vibration/​noise.
I called around lunch time and arrived here at 330. I saw a lot of cars, so I was already worried that it was going to be a long wait. But Devon quickly grabbed my keys and surprisingly put my truck on their lift. Nathan and him started checking the exhaust and figured out a game plan. They didn’t try to upsell anything. They even suggested I take it to the original guy that installed the muffler if it would save me $. But it was done 2yrs ago and it involves me driving 20miles plus Austin traffic.
So I told them to just do whatever needs to be done to correct the problem. They even spotted that the new catalytic was not bolted on properly. They quickly fixed that, fixed the exhaust vibration and fixed the catalytic to cross member gap.
They quoted me a price before they started the work and charged no more than the original quote when the work was done. Overall, took maybe 35−40minutes.

If you are looking for the honest mechanic in town, this is the place. Great service and HONEST how can you do better.

This mechanic shop is located extremely close to the Honda and Toyota dealerships, making it ideal to evaluate a potential used car purchase.
They charge $ 42 for an inspection which is actually for a limit of three cars — in case you are considering multiple options during the purchase process.
The staff here automatically spotted some problems in a Honda Certified car I was wanting to buy, allowing me leverage in pricing negotiations. Service was quick, and I was able to get in with little delay. This place doesn’t come across as a modern or top-​notch professional mechanic shop, but they have a good eye for cars and will save you a headache in the used car buying process.

This shop is AWESOME! We had some problems with our RV and was referred to Round Rock Muffler. Nathan was super and had the problem fixed for a minimal cost to us. I would recommend Round Rock Muffler to anyone needing muffler or exhaust work.

Had some muffler work done in late summer 2013. Initially I was very pleased with the manner in which they communicated and the professionalism, and still am. I don’t think they are lacking in that way at all. The problem is the quality of the work. There was some replacement of parts and some welding of exhuast system involved. The gentleman (dont remember the name) did tell me at the time of the repair that there were additional small exhaust leaks in some hard to reach areas that would require more extensive work to be corrected. Got it. A few months later some other work needed to done (different shop — different type of work) and they informed me that the previous exhaust work was welded poorly and proper tightening of various bolts hadn’t been done. This contributed to excessive noise and this noise masked a much more serious issue that caused signficant problems. I was told this by two separate shops. I dont blame Round Rock Muffler for the more significant problem. I just wish their work had been more thorough and had been more of a solution that a contribution to the problems.

I brought my car and truck here for a state inspection. Their lobby could use some updates and a good cleaning. It was dirty looking compared to other shops I’ve been to. Overall I’m satisfied with the service and will probably return for future inspections.

These guys were nice on the phone and in person. They stuck to the very reasonable quote they gave me for a muffler replacement on the phone. They must make money by doing a massive amount of business, because they seemed to give me the muffler at cost. They got it done quickly and efficiently. That’s key with car service.

This place lives up to all the other stellar reviews. I spoke to Nathan on the phone to get a ball park quote on getting a stock style replacement muffler put on my ’88 300zx. He said if everything else is in good shape it should run around $ 45 to $ 50. I got up there around 9am on Saturday morning and all of the bays were full. Nathan and I looked over my car really quick in the parking lot along with the new muffler. He said it should be about an hour so I made the short walk to get some breakfast. I got back about 20 minutes later and it was already in the air being worked on. After about another 10 minutes it was done. Total bill out the door, $ 48.79. Just to give you an idea how good this is, the local Midas just around the corner from my house wanted $ 150 to weld on the same muffler. RR Muffler will be getting more of my business in the future! This place is absolutely fantastic! I was considering purchasing a car from Round Rock Auto Group (those people are shady!!), until I took it to Round Rock Muffler & Automotive. They discovered that the car has indeed been damaged in a accident (front & back) and «patched up» pretty much. repainted and «fixed» to look like nothing was ever wrong with it. I was extremely disappointed because I wanted the vehicle (so, I thought) but was EXTREMELY impressed with the service at RR Muffler & Automotive. $ 42 to look over the car was well worth it! I was able to walk away from what would have been a bad car in the long run. Thank you RR Muffler & Automotive. I would definitely be back here in the future if I didn’t live so far south. All of you north Austin/​Round Rock residents, go visit their shop!
PS: They offered to look at any other cars I might consider purchasing in the future for FREE since I already paid for the first car look over– AWESOME!

Got my inspection done here. Walked in and the entire thing took about an hour. Not the friendliest customer service, but they are fast and affordable. I’d definitely go back for an inspection and would consider other work here.

An obscure issue (rock stuck in dust catcher, dust catcher bent into rotor, rotor getting scratched) solved in 2 hours. Charged $ 10. Really friendly staff. Go do business with Nathan & his guys.

What can I say, the service was quick, everyone was super nice, the price was fair, and my car runs great. I could not be happier, and will definitly be back!

Took my car here for a muffler diagnostic and repair. The gentleman drove it around, let me know the issue and price and — when I brought it back the next day — fixed it.
Simple, no frills service, price as quoted, reasonable wait times. No complaints. I will return if I have muffler issues in the future. Four stars instead of five because the customer service is a bit … gruff? It’s not a sorority mixer, for sure. But they get the job done and are, from what I could tell (as a former auto insurance adjuster) quite honest and timely. Thumbs up from me.

Real simple: I found these guys a few years ago and they are honest mechanics. Do I really need to write anything else? Twice I’ve had to insist that they do a job for me, even though they were standing in front of me telling me that I could get it done cheaper elsewhere. They tell me exactly what I need (they really do – I’ve gotten the «problem» diagnosed elsewhere and then taken it here and been told it was something else entirely) and then they do the work perfectly. I’ve never had to take my car back twice for the same problem. These guys are gold. Period.

My son recently bought his first vehicle — from Ohio and full of rust! Yikes — but for $ 1k who can complain?!
However there was a hole in the muffler and the tail pipe was broken in half!
I called about 5 places, and took it to another place first because they were a ‘known chain’, but when they took their initial bid and quadrupled it, I ran as fast as I could!
Round Rock Muffler stood by their phone quote and got us in that very day, the work was completed within a couple hours and all has been well since (its been a few weeks now).
In my opinion Round Rock Muffler knows what they are doing, are reasonably priced and easy to schedule with — they get my highest rating/​recommendation and when needed, will be our mechanics from now on.

Have been here a couple times to get the inspection done. Always have a fast and predictable customer experience. Would love it they’d open up their Wi Fi so I could get some work done while I wait!

After seeing a rating of 4 stars on Unilocal,I had my wife take my Civic there to get some work done on my exhaust. They did a great job, didn’t overcharge us, & got her in immediately. We’d be happy to use them again!
