Came back in a few days ago, worried sick about my car. Thought I had a major repair needed to my car, turns out it was very minor. Hate to admit, but they could have taken me for a few hundred dollars, instead they were honest, and returned my car back to me serviced for less than I expected. This shop is the best one I have ever been to. Thanks once again for your honesty and help!

I have been taking our cars to Lambs on Great Oaks until now and will never take a car there again, not even a tricycle! After spending thousands of dollars there over the last few weeks, I happened to realize the horn on our car was not working. After opening the hood to check for a possible loose wire, I discovered that all of the hardware that holds the front body work to the radiator support was missing, the battery bracket hold down was not secure and the front spoiler under the front bumper was missing. I took the car back this afternoon and they replaced the missing hardware and told me that there was not a spoiler missing as they could not located it. The service guy, Cory told me that they could look up the replacement cost for me!!! That’s when I closed the hood and left. These people do not deserve any one’s business until they take responsibility for their workmanship.

They will try to trick you into buying more services/​repairs than you need. I think the staff must get a commission on all the extra work they get you to pay for. Because the location was convenient, I have been going there for a long time for simple things like oil changes, new battery, new tires. But my last experience was so bad that I will not go back. The staff are rude and unhelpful, I have zero trust in anything they tell me, and Cody is just a bully.

I called this location for a quote on tires and would have paid over $ 1k for new tires that they didn’t have in stock. I drive past NTB, flipped a u-​turn and not only did they have them in stock, but we’re almost $ 250 cheaper. And the more than $ 30 per tire to mount/​balance was only $ 16 at NTB. I guess these guys are pretty proud of their product. I know where not to call next time I need a quote on tires.

Was told I can come in for an inspection, but when I arrived, they told me too late — and said I never called. They finally agreed to do inspection, but could not figure out my out of state insurance declaration. I went to Jiffy Lube next door, and was out in 15 minutes. They had no problem figuring out the insurance declaration and were quick

Mom’s are you dreading taking your kids with you to get an oil change? This place is great. They have children’s books, free Goodyear coloring/​activity books and free wifi. Everyone was very nice and the lobby was super clean. We all have to do it so it might as well be as enjoyable as possible.

WARNING! Do not take your vehicle here if you love it!!! I have used Lambs a number if times over the years. Nothing spectacular but adequate. About a year & a half ago I took my truck in for A/​c work. Replaced compressor and reworked system and told me I had lifetime warranty on the system. A few mints later no cold air. Took it back in and they said had slow. Freon leak but they fixed it. But if there was a problem bring it back in. Few months later no cold again. Took it back in and new manager said no warranty and they did not stand behind old managers work. Wanted as much money as original
fix. This company can not be trusted with your car. I am in worse shape now than when I first took my truck there. Also found. a hole and leak in my tire the next morning when I told them I didn’t want them to do repair. I’m just sayin!

Oil changers BEWARE! I went in with a coupon for a $ 30 oil change and went to check out with a $ 90 oil change. What the *%#?? Apparently my Nissan needed a special type of oil… yeah, ok. Then I found out that there was a generic brand of that «special kind of oil» for about half the price. I walked out paying $ 58 for the oil change and an air filter. Not that bad, but you really, really have to look at your ticket and haggle with them. Not a great experience. To make matters worse, I made an appointment the day before I arrived, and when I got there, the guy said ‘we don’t take appointments on Saturday”. Well, maybe you should train your people better. I won’t be back. Too bad because it’s soooo close to my house.

Nothing real glamorous or detailed. I went in for a State Inspection and their courteous service completed it without a hassle in about 35 minutes on a Saturday morning.
The waiting area was clean and filled with accommodating magazines and a television to pass the time,.
Nothing negative, just everything positive that you can appreciate it for.

Used this place for inspections on both our vehicles shortly after completing our move to TX. We thought after hearing the adds on Spirit that this would be perfect, to have a Christian automotive shop right in the neighborhood… but, that is not the case. After being told that the inspections would take just an hour or so each, we were surprised to arrive almost 4 hours later to find that only 1 vehicle had been completed, and the other still sat in the parking lot where we left it. Even more so, was that we were told upon arrival for pick up that the delay was because we didn’t have an appointment & we should go elsewhere if we expected quicker service without an appointment! Not at all what we anticipated, and I don’t think we will be back nor recommend to others. * As a side note, this was Summer 2014 & after originally posting this review on the wrong locations site we were contacted by the President of Lambs in effort to correct the issue, & we appreciate that effort. We corrected the other review, but still felt we should let others know what we encountered here.

Just bought a house in the area in June 2014. I went in for state inspection. Cody and Roy were at the front desks each with customers. The customer with Roy left about 30 seconds after I arrived so I smiled politely at Roy who scowled at me. I continued to wait for over 5 minutes while Roy shuffled paper at his desk without acknowledging my existence. I finally asked him if I can get the state inspection done here. He said yes but they’re backed up and don’t have time. I said thanks I’ll go somewhere else.
First impressions being what they are, Lamb’s will never see any business from me or family members. It’s pretty amazing that a place can stay in business by ignoring customers then instead of telling them the wait time, turning them away. They may have been too busy but that’s when you take an appointment and ask them to come back the next day or later. If I ever saw an employee treat a customer like that at a business I owned I would cut their last paycheck and thank them for their service.

Super helpful! Both Bryan and Cody went above and beyond. I’ve been to a couple very nearby places, and always seemed to get the runaround. These guys were straight forward, and got all my issues solved in one stop. Thanks!

They found problems with my car and they fixed those problems. I hope. I mean, I can’t really check, I’m no car expert.
Sure is expensive though for all those wheel alignments and hub bearing replacements, but you know.

I have never been to a Lamb’s other than this location but I’d be interested to know if the crappy service and scare tactics this location uses are company policies or just bad management in this store. I have been to this place once for an oil change, once to have my brakes looked at, and once to get a yearly state-​required inspection. I will never go here again.
The first time I came in, it was to have my brakes checked, as they were making an occasional noise that sounded like a «slippy» thing to me. Almost any noise my brakes make immediately suggests imminent brake failure to me, and I tend to panic. Lamb’s was close by, so I went there. $ 400.00 plus dollars later, they assured me all of my brakes had been fixed. When the same noise came back I went somewhere else to have it looked at, and it turned out a piece of the plastic cowling had come loose and was occasionally rubbing on my actual tire, not even a brake thing at all. I wasn’t too upset with Lambs because I figured, well, anyone could make a mistake, the noise was intermittent and you couldn’t make it happen by doing any one particular thing, so hey, they made a mistake and I got all my brake pads changed a little early, not too much of a big deal.
I went for an oil change after being suckered in by the advertised $ 17.00 special. The service took FOREVER even though I had an appointment, and while it was being done the guy came out three or four times with samples of various «fluidy» things that he claimed were a disaster inches away from happening. I needed various expensive flushes and treatments or my car would soon be in serious trouble he said.
Right.
I declined the extra services and went back to my regular oil change guys who charge $ 30.00 but never bother me with scare tactics. I had none of those services performed and two years later my car is doing just fine, thank you.
My husband asked me to take his truck in last month for his state inspection. He suggested I go to Lambs, otherwise I would have gone somewhere else, as I don’t like to give my money to pushy people who try to scare me into getting work done I don’t really need. Still, it was only the state inspection, I figured, «what’s the harm, this cant go much wrong can it?»
Ha!
I waited on that silly inspection (the one where they check your lights and your turn signals and not much else) for 4.5 hours!!! All because the Lambs fax number wasn’t working and apparently, neither was their email. They needed confirmation of my insurance in order to perform the inspection, but even though my insurance company was sending it, Lambs wasn’t receiving. No one thought to tell me what was going on, and I waited for hours before straightening the mess out myself.
This place is just plain crappy. Stay away!

Josh, the manager, called me this AM and apologized. As always, when a business contacts me, I am impressed. It tells me they care about the service they provide. He did offer to make it up to me by offering me a free oil change. I still think their price is steep. I called one of their competitors today and they quoted $ 37.70 for the oil change and tire rotation. If I need some work on my truck in the future I will give these guys another try and hopefully increase their rating.

Wow! I am surprised at the number of bad reviews that the Great Oaks Lambs has received. My wife and I have been taking her Chevy Tahoe there for years and the customer service, integrity and quality of work have always been top notch.
The experiences others have had reminds me more of what we got on the I-​35 near Walmart Lambs. That place was baaaddd! I just took the car in today to get a flat tire repaired. No charge of course, but I was again impressed by the people working there and their professionalism. No attempts to fix other stuff, and no pressure. Just like I like it. The manager even shook my hand on the way out.
We have had quite a bit of work performed there and have never had any of the problems others have had. I will surely update this review if anything changes.

I went to Lamb’s with the knowledge that there were quite a few things needing repair on my 02 Mazda. Not only did they diagnose everything that I had figured, but also picked up on some things I missed.
This brought up an internal question as to whether I should start spending money on a 10 year old car or look for a newer used car. The Assistant Manager, Clay, was very honest in his assessment that my money could be better spent elsewhere. Imagine that, a shop that recommends not spending money with them and gives you sound honest advice.
Lamb’s was courteous, professional, honest, and explanatory with me when I went in and I will return for all my service needs.

I wanted to update my post. The President of Lambs contacted me about my review and after looking into the matter, found out that indeed something had gone wrong. Yesterday I was given a refund on the diagnostics part of my bill.
It does seem that ethics is still alive in the country and that some companies do care about keeping customers.

I wanted to like them… I really really did. I had that «hopeful — let me find a good shop close to where I live» optimism. But they had that «wow, here’s a trusting guy, let’s milk him for all he’s worth» approach.
I bought a used SUV that had a slight vibration at around 60. I figured it was the alignment or the tires, no big — so I take it to Lamb’s for a diagnosis.
Well, not only do they tell me that I’m endangering myself by not putting new tires on immediately (although they still had ample tread and were in good shape), but that as I could clearly see from their laser alignment computer printout, they are going to have to replace most of the suspension, as it is worn out and on top of that, they need me to buy the tool necessary to do the job (I didn’t know ’til then my Mountaineer was an exotic). On top of that, their «head mechanic» had personally taken the vehicle on the road and determined after that and additional testing that the transmission was the cause of the vibration at highway speeds. About a $ 2500 quote!!!
Now, I was pretty confident that my vehicle was mechanically sound, so I released a sigh of regret and went to another shop, where I found out I had a couple of bent rims. New wheels and now she run’s smooth as silk.
Shame on Lamb’s. Be ye all warned.

Funny, I was about to simply state I second Lisa M’s review only then to realize it’s almost 2 old. Don’t go here. they’re big on «finding» things wrong with your car and then quoting you a stupid price. Stupid meaning, you’re stupid if you believe them.
I’m not going back!
