Upon moving to Round Rock I checked for Barber Shops on Unilocal.John’s getting good reviews and close to my house I decided to give them a try. Unilocalers you did a good job on this one. No only did I get a good haircut and good conversation but I paid a price that wasn’t ridiculous and they even have a senior price. I will be back here again.

Disclaimer: I am a weirdo(aka OCD) about my 4 year old son having an awesome hair style/fresh cut. Vetta is the only person I will let cut his hair at this point, I won’t go anywhere else. I have been to a number of places in the area, and no one else can get his hair just right. Apparently the mini-pomp style is not as easy to cut as you may think! My boy gets compliments on his ‘do every time we go out, not exaggerating! Vetta does a great job and I def recommend her for that type of style. This barber shop is nothing fancy and usually there is a wait, but worth it.

Great service! My son is almost 6 and has been going there since he was 4. He’s probably one of their youngest customers, but we love it. Roy is the best! Vita is awesome too! Haircuts on the expensive side $ 16 but worth it!

Excellent. Clean place — clearly professionals work there. Pat cut my hair, nice guy, careful, a real barber. I live in Connecticut, come here on business and I will go back to John’s. Very very good haircut.

Love this place! Everyone is really friendly, but it is a little unsettling the first time you go. For one, it’s cash only. I didn’t know when I walked in, but they let me run across the street to an ATM. Haha. So, bring a $ 20 spot so you can tip. When you walk in and sit down take note of who was there before you. Everyone is generally there to see a specific barber, so even though someone is ahead of you they may be waiting for a barber that’s tied up. Rick is my preferred barber. He pays great attention to detail and just really does an outstanding job.

Best Barbershop in Round Rock. One of the best in Austin. Very friendly staff. Great at cutting hair. This is a traditional barbershop. No stylists here. Real barbers. No appointments. Just walk in.

Probably the best barbershop in town, and they get it right each time I go. I would definitely recommend this place to any newcomers to Austin or Round Rock, TX

OK, so as usual, I’m traveling through TX, staying in Round Rock, and need my hair mowed. This place is ranked pretty highly, so thought I’ve give ‘em a shot. WITHALLDUERESPECTTOTHISPLACE — I walk in, and NOT my style. Décor isn’t just«old-school»(which I like!), but it was just plain — «old-date»!! — right down to the vintage 90s white tile floor, slightly pink walls, and fake plants. Not exactly the 1930s-1960s time span that I look for. Since I consider barbers and barbershops to be really personal to me, I prefer them to reflect my personality, and this one was kind of disappointing, and reflected an older generation, but not necessarily in a complementary way ;-) Again, with all due respect — There were maybe 5 – 6 barbers, yet the only one who seemed younger and edgy overall was Roy. So, I patiently waited for him. We connected well, and had a pretty good chat, and though it wasn’t the bestest cut I ever had, it ranked pretty much up there in the«above-average» category!

Pretty good haircut. Pretty good price. No wait. Slightly racist conversation during haircut. Stylist also talking bad about other customers when they walked in. Straight razor used to shave neck was nice, but needs sharpening. Probably wouldn’t go back.

My husband gives this place 10 stars! He loves the haircut he gets. They use the warm shaving cream and straight razors, so it’s a real barber shop. It opens at 7:30 on Saturdays, so get there early to avoid the long lines.

Got a men’s cut for $ 16. Looked good, he straight edge shaved the neck hairs, and even trimmed my eye brows. I walked in and there happened to be no wait at that time; I was told there was one earlier. The cut was maybe 20 minutes beginning to end. Will be back. Will upgrade to 5 stars if the next couple of cuts are as good. It’s a real barber shop.

Would have liked to have more time taken to make a few extra passes. But as far as I can tell everything looks in place. Enjoyed the straight razor edge up, and it’s cool clean environment.

I don’t see what all the fuss is about. I went to the place looking for a good old fashioned haircut and shave. The place was just like any other salon chains, just that the barbers were very old and so were the customers. They told me they stopped doing shaves long ago. Moreover, they also use machines to cut hair. So there was hardly any difference. Reg haircut is $ 16, I don’t think it was worth it, because I can get the same machine haircut for $ 7 at supercuts. This place is overrated. No go for me!

I have had my hair cut by a few of the barbers at John’s, and so far I have no complaints! They are higher priced than other barbers in Round Rock, but the quality is worth it.

Very friendly staff. I get a great haircut every time and the price is always worth it. Rick does a great job on my hair every time. Just remember that it is cash or check only, no credit cards or debit cards.

Ron cut my sons hair and is very good with kids. Very friendly and lots of smiles. They DONOT take debit/credit cards but there is an ATM at the Shell station within walking distance. We went on Saturday at 11 am but got in quickly since there were 7 barbers working. Very much a ‘real’ barber shop.

First time here. I was greeted by John himself, a warm gentleman with a soft voice. Expertly cut my hair and even finished off with a straight razor! Who has that kind of service nowadays? I will be back! Thanks John for staying true to the art.

I’ve been coming to this barber shop for almost 10 years, since I was 11 or 12. And I wouldn’t go to any other place. I’ve gone to other places for various reasons, but have always come back here. They do great work, especially flattops. But if you plan on coming here, come in early because in the afternoons and weekends the wait can get long.
