Great service! They came in a timely manner. We were having a problem w spider bites and they did a search inside & out. Cleaned webs and sprayed. The tech, Michael, was very professional and even talked to us about what spiders he found those that are harmless and poisonous. It’s eco friendly which was nice because I have a 3 yr old and a puppy that are all over the place so it was great knowing it’s a safe product. Their pricing was prefect for my budget and I felt it was fair. I would highly recommend this tech and company.

They are horrible. The Tyler person came by our house today, and he straight lied that our neighbors are using him. And he did NOT mention the $ 300 cancellation fees.
Very bad company. Do not even talk to them. I am glad I checked Unilocal first before giving him any business.

This was a truly terrible experience. I was laced into a contract that was not fully disclosed. Then service was subpar at the account I hired them to eliminate pests at. When I visited the location after 6 months of service, it was infested! I called to cancel service 2ce and was told a manager would call me, who never did. After a month, I contacted them through the website where I was informed the manager had cancelled the account at some point and charged me a cancellation fee, however he never contacted me with any details or to apologize for the lack of satisfactory service. I run several accounts and have used several different companies in Austin. Ecoshield isn’t just a bad pest control company, they are one of the worst companies I’ve ever dealt with in Austin on every level.

Loved having Jose as a technician!!! Def went above and beyond and answered all the questions I had!!! I highly recommend this company for your pest control needs!!!

I have read everyone’s reviews and I am upset that many of them do not recommend this pest control company. I have had them for almost a year now and have had no problems with them. All of my «pests» have been taken care the first time, so I have no need to call them back out. Back in December we were having financial issues (husband is a car salesman and December is the hardest month of the year for business), and I called to get a visit pushed back and they cancelled my December visit so I wouldn’t get charged. They really do try to help their customers. Maybe all of these customers complaining do not deal with respectful people, however I do. My technician Jorel Solis, is a sweetheart. He is very respectful of me and my home. He is outstanding, maybe all of these others customers should get him as their tech! As far as everyone complaining about the «no soliciting» issue, cut these people a break. This is how they earn a living, do you all really think they truly love being out in the heat, having doors slammed in their faces? I love this company and intend on renewing my contract in August.

These guys are awesome! Top notch service and outstanding results! I recommend them to everyone I know.

I’m with everybody else here giving them them the 1 star, and they don’t even deserve that. I finally ended my 1 year contract with this bozo company today. The first 3 times I had to have them respray a second time because either the service guy was too lazy, had a bad attitude, or didn’t care what kind of job he did. One service guy actually got into a confrontation with me because I asked him to not get that insecticide all over the legs of my wood furniture and all over my area rugs. Then when he only took 10 minutes to spray my huge yard (¾ of an acre lot) I knew he had all 3 negative traits I described earlier… lazy, bad attitude, don’t care. They’re also supposed to knock down all the cobwebs inside and around the house, including the front and back porch & the garage, and they are also supposed to spray all the weep holes in the brick walls «every time» they service the home. That did not happen unless I asked them to do it or made sure they did it. Their spray doesn’t work either. They claim to be able to get rid of fire ants in my yard but I think the fire ants feed on that stupid spray… And there is absolutely no improvement with keeping these insects out of the house… as we speak, there are hundreds of small and full size flies/​gnats/​whatever they are, that made their way through the tiny spaces in the window frames into the house. After a few days they all die and lay dead on all my window sills. This was a complete waste of $ 87 per quarter.

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE ON YOUR PROPERTY, THEY ARE SCAMMERS. I was originally solicited by one of their agents in my new home and he said they were just in the area killing time before another job (That is a complete lie, this is how they make contact with you) and I had told them that I have pest control that is included in my HOA expenses and did not need their services. They falsely told me that that I actually had no real pest control and that my HOA would literally come over with «a can of Raid» and that I had quite a few pests outside. I later found out that their statement was absolutely false as confirmed by my HOA. They have you sign the agreement electronically then send you what you sign later. There was no mention of being committed for a year up front. I contacted them on May 31, 2013 in writing and told them that I did not want to utilize their pest control services and I was coerced into entering into this agreement on false pretenses and that they forcefully solicit and intentionally try to mislead new home owners. I would keep getting reminder cards of future visits, I would call them and say that I did not want their service and do not come to my home and they kept doing it anyway, coming into my yard, behind a closed fence and then auto-​billing my credit card. The manager denied getting my cancellation letter (even thought I sent 2) and received a phone call with a message confirming they got my letter and wanted to discuss options. AND… the services suck because I had a tremendous amount of bugs and spiders around my property all summer. I fixed the problem myself with vinegar and water.

I have to agree with most of the other reviewers. Two reps came to our door last summer, and they sounded professional and convincing, so I signed up on the spot without researching them (I am usually very diligent about checking online reviews, but these reps seemed so honest and knowledgeable). I have definitely learned from this experience. It is so important to ALWAYS check reviews before signing a contract with a door to door company. We never had a roach problem before Ecoshield started coming to our house, but a few weeks after their first visit we noticed a couple of roaches. Fast forward a year later. We completed our year contract with Ecoshield. They did come for each of the 4 quarterly visits. They also came 2 or 3 extra times to spray for the growing roach problem. At the end of one year, we cancelled our contract, we have more roaches than ever. If I turn on the lights at night in the kitchen, I can see more than 10 roaches crawling in and around the sink. Ecoshield was completely ineffective with the roach problem. We have signed on with Ranger who seems to have good reviews on Unilocal,and are keeping our fingers crossed.

Awful company. Don’t listen to anything they say, because they will be saying everything you want to hear. Review the contract with a lawyer before you sign anything. At the end of the day, once they get you to sign, the contract rules the day regardless of the numerous lies they told in getting you to sign it.
To be fair, the guys that came and did the actual spraying were courteous and professional. The folks on the business end, however, are snakes. If you can’t trust someone, why give them your business? If they knock on your door promising the world, tell them to go away. You won’t be sorry…

Two guys knocked on my door and said they had just worked on my neighbor’s house and asked if we were having the same pest problem. I politely said no and they began an aggressive sales pitch. I pointed to my No Soliciting sign that I have on my front door and the guys start laughing and saying What no soliciting sign? I look and they had turned it around. I turn it back around so the words were showing and they literally started running off laughing like they had just pulled a prank on me. I didn’t think it was funny at all. I was freaked out by the whole thing. I questioned if these guys were legit so I walked out to find out the name of the company and one of the guys asked me Why and I ended up getting the name off a truck that a third person was driving. One of the guys really acted like he was stoned. I would never trust this company now that I know what kind of people work for them. I’ll be double checking my windows and doors tonight thanks to creeps from eco shield.

I am giving one star only because I have to! I tried and tried to cancel with this company! They refuse to let you out of a «contract» even though their product does NOT work! The rep that came to our home initially, did not know what he was talking about so each time someone came to spray, there was an argument as far as pricing. Finally, we attempted to cancel, only to be called by the owner of the company and get told they will send us to collections if we don’t continue our service. I explained their product does not work, we still have the same bugs we had before they started spraying back in the summer and he called me a liar and said that yes their product DOES work and if we aren’t happy we should call them back out to spray again. I told him «If your product doesn’t work initially, why would I keep calling you back out?» So, back in March, 2013 we were told we were finished, only to get another spray notice in the mail today. I called them and they instructed me that «Oh, your rep was wrong and you probably misunderstood him when he told you 4 sprays. It’s the initial spray and then 4 more and then you are done! So, let us know if the 27^th works for you for your last spray!» I told him that getting rid of them was like trying to get rid of a cockroach. I also told him that most of their business is word of mouth thru neighborhoods and that I had never seen a company so willing to NOT work with people, or a company that constantly says «Oh, the rep was misinformed» or «Oh, you must have misunderstood your rep!»
They are the company that never goes away!!!
We now use Osborne Pest Control, a privately owned buisness who, here on Unilocal,only has 5 star reviews. The best guy EVER!
Run, don’t walk away if a rep from Ecoshield shows up at your door! I promise, if you get sucked in you will be sorry!!!

Yesterday a representative from Ecoshield Pest Control (identified himself as Daniel B.) went door-​to-​door in my condominium community soliciting pest control services. Daniel stated that our HOA uses Ecoshield for common areas & supported them soliciting residents as a recommended vendor.
1) Our HOA does not do business with Ecoshield.
2) Our HOA never authorized Ecoshield to solicit residents.
3) Our community has a clearly posted «no solicitation» policy.
This vendor clearly LIED. What’s more, a strange man was arguably «casing» the community to learn who has pets, sizes of units, credit card numbers, etc.
Bad business ethics– beware!
