Bricks 4 Kidz

I find the owners of this business very unresponsive when I’ve tried to stop by their store front and email them. I was interested in learning more about their summer camps, but from my interactions with the business, I don’t find them responsive at all, so that tells me all that I need to know about the way the business is run.

My kids love Legos and we have been to several birthday parties at this location and also stopped in a couple of times to purchase some Lego figures and build kits. Unfortunately all of our experiences have fallen short. Didn’t have supply of the figures we were looking for (understand things being out of stock, but the delivery of the message was in a way that clearly communicated we were taking time away from other activities), no way to buy a couple of Lego heads to replace several the dog chewed up, for the two birthday parties we attended — staff didn’t introduce themselves or help/​interact with the kids. Observed a «camp» while waiting 30 minutes to get the answer if we could purchase 3 Lego heads and observed the «instructors» watching the kids with little to no interaction with the kids. Only rules and boundaries were verbalized. No teaching or education observed. Interactions with owner and staff on these 4 visits has left a perception of lack of customer focus and a business focus on the bottom line. Which, as a fellow business owner I can completely appreciate wanting to generate profits, but not at the expense of taking care of customers and being aware of and responsive to their needs. Sons birthday party is coming up and he wanted his party here and I am strongly encouraging him to consider other options.

I wouldn’t give this a star at all if I could get away with it.
I purchased a week at summer camp for my 7-​year-​old grandson — Legos Robotics. I paid $ 170 for the camp! He was very, very disappointed. He told me the other kids were extremely rude and the instructors (I won’t call them teachers) didn’t seem to care what the kids did. He didn’t get to build much so he wasn’t happy with the camp — he has 1 tiny lego figure — nothing robotic about it, at all. I’m upset that my grandson didn’t enjoy the experience – this was his birthday gift & we waited months for it.
I won’t be purchasing anything from Bricks 4 Kidz again!

Very disappointed in B4K — We signed up for a Lego camp and it was canceled do to Teacher issues– and low enrollment they said.- Circle C camp location. We had to scramble this week to find another camp for our 6 year old daughter that may fit her needs, the week after the the forth of July. Who cancels kids camps when parents book months in advance and plan their days. Seems the main concern after reading other reviews is revenue and not educating children.
Oh well. at least their are many other options in austin. We will not be dealing with this Round Rock Business again.

My son had his 5 year birthday party here over the weekend the kids had a nice time, which I recognize is the important thing. I would NEVER have a party here again though. You rent out the facility for your party and the description says that the instructor «leads the kids through the activity and helps with cleanup». So, maybe I’m off-​base in thinking the kids that work there should be helping more. When they weren’t giving my squirmy group of 5-​year olds 5 full minutes of rules and saying they may end up «facing the wall» for not following said long list of rules, they were sitting at the front desk staring at their hands while the parents ran around looking through bins of legos for a wheel or a «red small thingy». They helped 0% while I struggled to get the place ready for the party and I cleaned up by myself. Maybe their version of cleaning was to squirt some Windex on their ancient, cracked table cloth while I hauled everything to the car. They didn’t greet any kids, they clearly do not like small children and I get that these teenagers are there b/​c they love Legos, but it seems like a place that has KIDZ in the title would at least make sure the workers doing the party pretended they cared about the people at the party. Most kids didn’t want to do the larger activity, but they didn’t even help the one kid that DID want to do that activity, which was actually written in the description. For the amount of money I spent on this business, I expected better. By a lot. Won’t be back. Not for camps, not for free play, skip it

This idea is awesome. We just did a parents night out last Friday. My 6 year old daughter was a little disappointed by the lack of ‘lego friends” stuff but still managed to have a blast. My older daughter isn’t as much into legos even played with them some but also did some beading crafts that she enjoyed. The price was right $ 25 = 3 hours of lego time plus pizza and a juice box. I wish the «instructors» gave a little more direction to make my kids more comfortable. Not that I was expecting them to teach them anything with the legos (they do have times for that, but parents night out is not it) — but a «hey my name is _​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​if you need anything let me know. pizza will be served at _​_​_​_​time and the bathroom is over here. If you want to take off your jacket and shoes you can put them in a cubby.» My kids were having to ask all the questions.

Bricks 4 Kids hosted a fabulous birthday party for my son and his friends. The staff are knowledgeable and patient with kids, and they give them space to play and goof around while having fun and learning, too. I’m looking forward to returning with the kids for classes.
