Dr. Brian J. Peters

A native Texan, Dr. Brian J. Peters was born and raised in Houston. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Biology. He then attended the prestigious Ivy League Columbia School of Dental Medicine in New York where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation, Dr. Peters spent three years as a dentist in the United States Army with assignments in South Carolina, South Korea, and Louisiana. After serving his country, Dr. Peters studied orthodontics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/​Montefiore Medical Center in New York and received a certificate in orthodontics. Dr. Peters is now an orthodontist in Austin and limits his practice for children’s orthodontic, teen orthodontic and adult orthodontic treatments

Everyone was very nice and greeted me as soon as I walked thru the door. I was stunned to know that they don’t take cases such as mine. I am currently in treatment with another ortho in South FL and recently moved here, now looking for a new Orthodontist to «transfer» to. I have a few appointments lined up already but it’s dismaying that they don’t take jaw surgery cases. I have a bad bite and one side of my jaw is longer than the other which requires surgery to correct my jaw and my bite. Other than this disappointment (which I can completely understand), I had a pleasant experience, and Kim, the TC, was super nice and friendly the entire time.

My daughter gets her orthontic treatment here and they are great. Didn’t even flinch when I said I don’t have good insurance and wanted to pay out of pocket. Everyone there is so nice and loving. I highly recommend them to anyone. Payments are very reasonable. They were actually a «second opinion» and I went with them, because the first opinion wanted to take out 4 teeth for treatment and AFO didn’t have to remove any teeth. I love this place!

My children have both been seen by this dental office for approximately 3 years. It has been a very nice and professional experience. The staff is friendly and the doctors are competent and patient with their young clients and their families.
Dr. Peters has a very friendly disposition and has always made me and my children feel comfortable. Dr. Tomblyn is very kind and informative. I would highly recommend this establishment to many of my friends and co-​workers.

So far it has been great.
We have taken both of our kids here for the last couple of years in preparation for the likelihood of braces in the future. These people are the best I have experienced in a long time. Kimberly (I believe that is her name) is so inviting when we come in and we have hilarious conversations while talking about kids teeth. Dr Peters, (although an Aggie) is a great guy. He does really well with the kids, appropriately puts humor in where he can and will joke along we me as well. (See, a Red Raider and an Aggie can get along fine). We do what needs to be done at the time, there is no rush to pull teeth and get braces on immediately either which I appreciate.
We are typically in and out fairly quickly and the coffee is pretty fresh too!
If you are looking for a good, honest place for orthodontics and very friendly staff (I have only been to the Round Rock office) then this is the place to go.

I was a little embarrassed to be getting braces at 26 but it was the best decision I have made in a while. Austin Family Orthodontics is so professional, caring, and informative. Every question I ever had their team of professionals were able to answer. I had the pleasure of seeing all three doctors and they all are very caring. The front desk scheduling team are the greatest!!! They are always able to work around my work schedule and fit me in. Thank you all so much!!! I got my braces off today and cannot stop smiling!!! Thank you for giving me the smile I always wanted.

I can only sing praises about this office! My family just moved to the Round Rock area and my daughter’s dentist in California had recommended she be seen my an orthodontist. I did some research regarding dentists and found Austin Children’s dentistry. I called them to ask for the name of an orthodontist they work with and they referred me to Austin Family Orthodontics. I called them on a Friday afternoon and they got my daughter in on Monday morning! As soon as we walked into the office the front desk ladies were so welcoming and promptly got us checked in. The coordinator named, Kim is lovely and has such a wonderful way with kids. My daughter had no hesitation about going with her to another room to get x-​rays. Kim talked to us about the whole process and then Dr. Peters came into look at my daughter’s teeth. He was super nice as well and knew just how to talk to my daughter to make her laugh and feel comfortable. Afterwards, Kim explained the financial part and they were able to get my daughter into the office the next day to get her braces on! The technician named Kaitlyn who put my daughter’s braces on was awesome and made her feel relaxed during the whole process. My daughter had her braces on for one day, and she picked something off. I called the office and they squeezed her in that same afternoon to get the item replaced with no charge since it’s all included with the cost agreed upon. I highly recommend this office for anyone looking to get braces.
