Acorn Learning Academy is a curriculum-​based preschool and daycare for children ages six weeks through prekindergarten. We pride ourselves in providing an environment that celebrates reading, respect for others and a sense of global perspective.

We started Acorn in 2005, when our own children were 2 and 3 years old, to provide them and all the children in our community with an outstanding preschool experience. Our school is truly an extension of our family and offers a warm, nurturing learning environment for every child in our care.

At Acorn, your child will be provided with a safe, clean environment; warm, nurturing teaching staff; structured, challenging learning opportunities and the ability to grow and develop at his or her own pace.

We offer full-​time, flexible day and drop-​in childcare. With Flex Days, our parents choose which days of the week work for their family and are no longer limited to rigid Monday — Wednesday– Friday schedules. Drop-​in care is available for children over 18 months.

History

Established in 2005.

We opened Acorn Learning Academy in 2005 with the goal of providing the best pre-​school experience for our own children. When our first son was born, we both had fast paced, high pressure careers and had many concerns about childcare, his development, and the nurturing care we hoped he would receive. Prior to opening Acorn, we enrolled our child in a number of different schools — big centers, small centers, and home-​based care. With each experience, we realized that while each different type of program had its virtues, none of them was the «perfect» place for our family.

We created Acorn Learning Academy with the goal of providing the best quality child care and teaching environment for our children and for yours. Although our children are now middle-​school age, we’ve stayed passionate about providing outstanding care for the families of Round Rock.

Harshal Patel & family founded Acorn Learning Academy in 2005 to teach, nurture, and inspire children to reach their greatest potential in a warm, safe environment that supports every individual and family. Part daycare and part preschool, Acorn is still family owned and strives to be the best school for early childhood development in Round Rock.
