Nice little station in a nice little town. I live at the Coventry Glen apartments down the road(West) and have used this station whenever I needed to get to Union Station to catch an Amtrak train to California. I only have one complaint regarding the station and it is more a problem with Round Lake than the station itself: there are no sidewalks between Coventry Glen apartments and the station. You have to walk along-side the road with no lighting and only a dirt path where previous foot traffic has worn down the weeds. Very dangerous. If there were sidewalks to get to this station I would give it 5⁄5.

The best way to get from the suburbs to downtown. When I started taking the Metra, it was always on time. But with growth in the suburbs, that is no longer the case. For those of you that have ridden other forms of public transportation, think of the CTA in Chicago. No time schedules. They get there when they get there. Metra however, does publish a schedule and they get backlash for it when things out of their control cause them to be late. This would easily be remadied by just not publishing a schedule any longer. That way, when there is a ton of snow on the ground or a heavy rainstorm, it just gets there when it gets there. Don’t forget when someone decides to play chicken with the train and loses. Everyone just thinks that their schedule is more important than safety. If all you complainers move back into the city where you came from, the problems would go away. Take all your city rules back there with you too. The suburbs could then go back to being the nice places to live like they were before you brought all your city problems and rules with you.
