Steve Blank, the owner and founder of BML Local, is also a drummer and drumming coach who learned to rank well in search engines for his drum lesson business. Early in 2010 he decided to help others get to the first page of Google and has kept on learning as Google and other search engines continue to change the way results are shown especially when searching for a local product or service.

After working for a large national company for almost a year, Steve wanted to give his customers much better results than they received from the national company he worked for. So, in December of 2010, he began to study local mobile marketing from a leader in the field, and prepare for the start of his own company focused on helping local businesses with their marketing. He called it BML Local.

«BML» stands for «Business Means Learning».
