I bought a specialized fat boy from Roswell Bicycles and the experience was outstanding. Very low sales pressure. The shop had two bikes set up for me to test ride before I arrived and I spent at least an hour chatting with the sales rep. He never once got impatient and took time to walk through the pros and cons of the two models I was considering. He also set up and weighed each for comparison.
After I picked the bike, they helped me with new gear. Again, they talked me through the options and never once pushed a higher priced option. They were big on me picking right gear for me needs, not necessarily the most expensive. To top it all off they worked with me on discounting both the bike and gear.
Very happy customer. Will definitely be back for future needs.

Love the team and shop! Todd and his team present great customer service, the bike shop is awesome at service and repair, and would strongly recommend this team for local cyclists and triathletes.

Totally overpriced and tried to upsell me on everything. The salesman tried to convince me that I needed a new helmet after I told him that my 2 year old hits it while on my head. What kind of 400 dollar helmet can not withstand a punch. And that was where I bought the original helmet. I would never send anyone there unless I hated them and wanted them to get ripped off!!!

Do not go here. The kid who helped us with our bike selection was nice enough, but very obvious he was off to the next customer when we had decided on the bike we wanted. No follow up with accessories. Terrible. I had also brought in an old bike that I wanted to be checked out. The service department is run by a bunch of teenagers with attitude. I walk in and some kid just looks at me. No hello, nothing. They acted like they were doing me a favor. This will be my last visit to this place.

Bought my first road bike here. Exceptionally thorough service and infinite patience for a beginner like myself. Really took their time fitting me properly and giving me all the test rides that I needed. They also gave me some decent discounts given that I was a first-​time customer.

Perspective: BICYCLE sales and service
This place is about as good as it gets for bicycles.
Picked up a road bike and mountain bike for a song. They calibrated the road bike for my body.
I stopped by to get a flat fixed and cables tightened/​adjusted. The dude did it all in 20 minutes.
Here is where you want to go to get a quality bike or 2.

Excellent service and variety of products. For years I have brought enthusiastic friends here by their own request– note some of those guys are serious about the sport, being regulars on Tour de France and the likes.
Now they convinced my wife to hook me up on bikes again (its been 25 years…) and the staff helped me setting up without going over the board and not overspending (‘this is the best helmet, but you dont need it for a park ride, get this one instead’).
Highly recommend this place for both pros and the newbies like me.

Very impressed. I had some very technical questions and Kyle was knowledgeable and able to provide detailed unbiased answers to all my questions and walk me through making the best bike purchase decision for my new race bike. Thanks again for the personal service and attention to detail.

I love the workers here. Super helpful and they don’t pressure you to buy. They’ll answer 100s of questions and not even act the least bit annoyed. I ended up buying a GT from the competition but the knowledge I received from Roswell Bikes I’ll be forever thankful for.

This is my favorite bike shop in the area so far. Has basically everything a cyclist needs, without charging through the wazoo.
So far, I have only needed to pick up a few items from them… but…as with any shop… it is about the people… and the personnel are very helpful and friendly here. As I know my way around what I want typically, I do not need a lot of help… so I will leave that in other reviewers hands…

I bought a GIANT comfort bike for fitness a year ago and have been thrilled with my purchase. I spent a little more for the quality, but I’m protected with trade-​up availability, tune-​ups, and boutique level service.

This review may be a little premature, since I’ve only ever bought 2 items from RB and I ended up returning them.
I’m not a cyclist, and I don’t aspire to be. But I left my friend convince me to do a triathlon, particularly since she convinced another friend to let me borrow her bike. Trouble is that she has clip in shoes, and I’m just not all that coordinated with those. So after a few rides of slipping off the pedals when trying to clip in, I decided to buy some regular pedals with cages as insurance, in case I didn’t get the hang of the clips before the race.
I went in upstairs the first time, since all the signs on the lower level seem to be pointing to the service department. My confused face was easily read by one of the employees who pointed me downstairs…
Once downstairs, I was prompted greeted by a sales girl (I say girl because she was young and enthusiastic, as if she was in high school), who listened to my explanation — cages? — and showed me into the room marked service where the man behind the cash register listened and gave me what I needed. When I pointed to the kind of clip pedals that the borrowed bike has, he explained that I would need standard pedals to attach the cages and grabbed those for me. Whole transaction took less than 10 minutes and cost $ 27.
By race day, I was feeling more confident with the clip ins, so I took the unopened cages and pedals back with my receipt. I went in the lower door this time, and even though there were 2 – 3 employees involved in this transaction, they were all helpful and mildly funny.
I noticed that they post a full tune-​up price list, give you a free fitting when you buy a bike, and offer 0% financing through GE financing. They’ve got all kinds of other gear, tons of bikes, and seem to have built a nice little community of cyclists. The triathlon wasn’t that bad, so I might just end up here again in the future for a bike of my own…

Just bought a Felt Triathlon bike last week and the service was great. I was even able to take the bike home the same day. Fantastic service! I will be back!

I was in here for nearly 20 minutes and nobody even approached my wife and I to determine if we needed help. They didn’t appear to be too busy. It was hard to tell who was a customer and a store employee. There were two people at the front near check out who may not have seen us but didn’t bother to assist us in any way.
They do have a very nice selection of bicycles. Since I wasn’t offered help I went elsewhere and have since purchased a bike.

I went in today for a fitting and this place exceeded ALL of my expectations. They took 2 hours with me getting all of the proper adjustments. I ended up needing to replace a few of the stock parts on my bike to get the proper fit, but I never felt like they were trying to sell me anything.
I did my research prior and discovered that oftentimes parts need to be replaced to achieve maximum fit to the bike.
I loved working with Matt and will DEFINITELY head back in when it’s time for a new bike!

Awesome. Super nice people who are serious about bicycles will invest significant time and effort to educate you and ensure you find the bike that fits your needs and budget.
I bought a road bike here 10 years ago. They said it would last. It’s downstairs right now, ready to go and as awesome as it ever was.
When we bought the road bike, they spent about an hour sizing it to my body, my riding style, etc. They watch you ride, tinker with all sorts of stuff that a non-​bicyclist wouldn’t even know could be tinkered, watch you ride again, tinker some more…
We went back today to look at mountain bikes. We told the sales dude our price range, and he stuck to that — no upselling, no bullshit. How refreshing!
Speaking of no bullshit, we have a car that does not obviously lend itself to bicycle racks. At the first two stores we visited, we asked about racks for our car. They confidently declared that they had racks that would fit any car, including ours. At Roswell Bikes, the sales dude went to the computer and looked up our vehicle. No racks. No shit.
Then the sales dude came out and looked at our car. He explained why our car would not take a bicycle rack. So, he said, if we were to buy bikes at his store, he would drive them to our home in Buckhead for us. No shit!
He patiently provided bike after bike for us to test, explaining each one and what it had going for it. We found a great model with a great reputation. Then we left without buying a bike. Consternation? No way! Roswell Bikes knows that not everyone makes an expensive purchase on impulse. Upon reflection, yeah, we know what bike we want. And we’re comfortable with it, because we tried lots of bikes and know WHY we want these bikes.
A review from another store mentioned that the sales people at other stores look like they don’t ride much — overweight and flushed or something. Very funny comment. Anyway, that’s not what you get at Roswell bikes. These guys race, ride all the time, and have made bicycles a lifestyle. They know their stuff and get very excited about sharing their enthusiasm with others.
If you are in the market for a non-​Wal-​Mart bike, you should visit Roswell Bikes. If nothing else, you’ll have the chance to learn from these guys. Awesome.

I am not sure if I can truthfully give a true review with myself not being an experienced rider, but I personally was annoyed here. I was greeted at the door, which was nice. I said I was simply looking and around and said thank you.
That is ALL I was intending to do because I have not had my butt on a bike in the 12 years I’d been in Atlanta but since moving behind the Greenway Trail I’d become greatly interested in it. I was mainly there to learn about different types of bikes after I’d researched online and pricing.
The guy who greeted me at the door was like a Used Car Salesman and was in my face asking if he could help, «what do ya need?» I told him again I was just simply looking. Three times inside the next 90 seconds, he was was following me telling me about the financial help and the bike rentals and the best brands and THE most awesome pedals and this and that and this and that. When I started hearing about the best pedals, that is when it was time to get outta there!

I really liked the service I got at Roswell Bicycles. I bought my first road bike there this past summer and they were really helpful! Peter helped me with choosing a bicycle that would fit my needs and never once made me feel stupid amongst my many stupid novice questions. The only problem I had, which wasn’t really a problem at all, was that I had a suspicion they were trying to fit me on a bike that wasn’t the right size for me. I’m a short girl and it’s a bit hard to find a bike to fit me and I felt that they found the bike I wanted that was a bit big for me, yet told me it would be okay and fit me to a bike that wasn’t right for me. I really wouldn’t know otherwise and I think they knew that.
Overall, I really like Roswell Bicycles and I’ll sometimes just stop by to marvel at the $ 3000 gorgeous road bikes that I’ll never own, but that are just so pretty!
