I understand the other reviews about the long wait. I, also, don’t understand why the wait is so long. It’s frustrating as I have to come very far in the middle of a workday (when I began my search for a rheumatologist I’d discovered that few saw people with my condition).
However, since I started coming here I found out that my concerns about my bones breaking too easily were correct. Other doctors weren’t interested in what I said but Dr. Lopez Armstrong did a bone scan and found that at 34 I have osteoporosis.
She is now treating both of my conditions and I find that she does listen to me when it comes to my treatments. After much discussion she has put me on a treatment that would not be recommended to most people my age and I am very happy with that. I like that she is willing to take all of my concerns into play when treating.
In other words. If you really need help. Just ask. The wait is long, but worth it if you really need someone who will go through any options that you’ve researched.
Also, you shouldn’t always need to rely on your doctor all the time to go through every treatment option with you! Use google! Then ask your doctor and see if it might work for you. You might be pleasantly surprised!
(I’d have given 5 stars but I had to deduct one for the wait. I’m writing this review as I sit in the office and I hear people complaining about the wait but talking about her being an excellent doctor.)

Courtney V. is correct. This doc has no respect for her patient’s time. You can depend on waiting an hour or more and sitting alone in an exam room for another 30 to 45 min. Because of this, I began scheduling for the first appointment of the day, which was illuminating.
The first patient of the day still might have a 45 min wait or more as the first patient because she does not arrive at the office in time for her first appointment! People at the end of the day have no chance.
The waiting room is a very sad affair, especially when populated by people who are obviously in pain and are facing a hopeless and unpredictable wait.
On more than one occasion, Dr. Armstrong has had her staff call to cancel an appointment that I have had for months with less than 24 hours notice because she decided to start celebrating a holiday early.
The office suffers from a lack of investment and is generally dingy. For the first year that I saw her, the Velcro did not function properly on the blood pressure cuff and the patient had to hold it together.
There are so many better rheumatologists around who respect their patients.

Not impressed with Dr. Celia Lopez Armstrong. I was there for 3 hours and I maybe saw her for a total of 10 min. None of the test took long enough to warrant the wait. She asked me no questions about what was going on with me at all. Just referred to the chart from urgent care. That was it. I was so irritated when I left that I scheduled my follow up with another Rheumatologist. If your time matters to you or you actually want to spend any time with your doctor, don’t go here.
