Jolie Beauty Spa and Nails

I would really like to give them a good review because they have such good customer service and are so nice, but I’ve been to this salon twice now for a mani/​pedi, and the quality of their work is just subpar. Both times I’ve been, the polish was applied unevenly and starting chipping and cracking within the first week. I tried to give them a 2^nd chance, hoping it was just a fluke the 1^st time, but unfortunately I won’t be returning. I’ll make the trip down to Perimeter to go to Nail Talk and Tan (best nail salon ever).

New to the area and stopped in for a mani and pedi! I was blown away with the quality of the service and the customer service!!! I will be back every two weeks:)

I stopped in randomly for a gel mani/​pedi one day and will now never go anywhere else. Destiny is by far the best! My nails have never looked so well and for so long! Definitely recommend and will never go anywhere else!

This is a beautiful day spa and very clean. The employees are friendly and professional. However, I had 3 services done: pedicure, foot reflexology, and a neck/​sinus massage. My pedicure was great but the other services were a disappointment. I was very excited to have reflexology done and I did some research on it so I knew what to expect. Unfortunately, I didn’t get what I paid for. I paid for reflexology but what I received was a simple foot massage. There was no explanation of pressure points or inquiry about what health concerns I had that I wanted the reflexology session to address. Next, I had the neck and sinus massage. I wish there had been more of a focus on my neck, since that was the area in which I had tightness and stress. There was a lot of hair pulling and ear pulling during this massage that I did not enjoy at all. When I left my neck didn’t feel any better than when I arrived. She did however, give me a 5 minute complimentary back massage, which was the best part. This spa does accept Spa Finder gift cards, which is quite convenient. I will probably try this spa again but I will make an appointment with a different technician.

I can not rave enough about Jolie Day Spa. I have been to spas all over the country, and this place is the best. Shuli is one of the best deep tissue massage therapists I’ve ever been to, and her technicians are extremely thorough and take pride in making sure you mani/​pedis are perfect. I no longer waste my time going anywhere else. This is IT!

I have been to this spa on several occasions before today and have always walked right in and been serviced. However since I was a walk in I didn’t complain that only one technician was available to do my gel mani and gel pedi. It does take twice as long with only one girl but I didn’t mind because I was a walk in. Well today I had made an appointment a week in advance for two technicians for my gel mani and gel pedi so I’m not there for 3 – 4 hours. So I get there on time for my appointment and I can tell there’s a problem the way the girls are speaking to each other. So I asked the really sweet technician (who is awesome by the way) was there an error with my appointment and she says no they just really don’t know what they are doing. She says I’m going to take your gel off your hands and feet and someone will be able to come over after that to help. I said that still defeats the purpose of having two because it’s still going to take twice as long to remove the polish. Last time with one person my gel wasn’t done being removed until the girl next to me was done with her whole pedicure and she sat down at the same time as me. On days I walk in that is acceptable but when I specifically make an appointment because I’m on a limited time schedule it’s unacceptable. Whoever is in charge there and running the place (the older lady who’s always behind the computer) is completely incompetent and has no idea how to run a business. The technicians are awesome! They are nice, professional, their work is good and they all speak English! Unfortunately I won’t be back. I consider myself a good customer who tips each technician 20 $ each. I’m spending roughly around 120 $ to get my nails and toes done and I’m not asking for any special treatment. But it defeats the whole purpose of an appointment! It’s sad to me because it’s hard to find a good place to get your nails done even with all the choices out there!

This was the best manicure I’ve ever had. I was in the area for the day & dropped in to kill some time before my next meeting. It was nice to hear only English spoken and everyone was so comfortable. My manicurist gave me the best arm massage I’ve ever had & the nail polish lasted longer than any other salon’s. If I was out this way more often, I’d definitely stop in for another manicure.

I’ve had more good than bad experiences here. Like most places you need to find the right/​best tech for you. I like that only English is spoken.

I have never in my life received such a horrible nail job. I popped in here randomly because I was early for a chiropractor appointment in the area. Being from Midtown, I wasn’t familiar with any of the local salons so I just went to the nearest one. Jolie seemed to have good reviews, so I went for it. All I wanted was a gel polish because I was in a rush and didn’t have time for a full blown manicure. The manicurist was sweet, but clearly inexperienced. It took her almost 30 minutes to remove my regular nail polish because she thought it was gel (even after I told her it was regular nail polish, not gel). Then I could tell she was confused about which step came next as she looked like she was just guessing which coat of gel polish she was supposed to do first. In all, it took her an hour and she was still hacking away at the mess she’d made when I finally told her I has to leave. I felt bad for her, so I didn’t make a fuss. This place seems to get good reviews on their facials, but don’t offer nail services if you can’t employ experienced manicurists. Needless to say, I won’t be straying from regular nail salon.

This place is AMAZING! The girls are superb ESP the owner, Shulih. They are all talented & extremely accommodating. I have been to many salons & I can honestly say that I always come back to Jolie. The atmosphere here is just calm, the girls know their clients — it’s like family! The back room is very relaxing & smells like spa. They offer you beverages & excellent service! All I can say is Ahhhhhh! Highly recommended!

I’ve been to Jolie Spa quite a few times! I absolutely LOVE it! Paula has ALWAYS done my facials and does an AMAZING job! Lauren always does my massages (even my pregnancy massages) & I LOVED it! I even had my mani/​pedis done there a couple times and loved the services! Keep a look out on their facebook page, they offer specials from time to time!

The ladies here are super talented and work efficiently. Strongly suggest reservations on weekends! Friendly staff and hard workers are packed into this salon and spa. I’ve only experienced the nail salon not the massages. It’s clean and they give you your own nail buffer and file to keep. I was able to get a manicure and pedicure for $ 35.00! It’s the perfect spot to relax and get spoiled.

I got a very nice GEL polish mani-​pedi today. My toes and nails match. The only reason they didn’t get a 5 star rating is because of the owner. I called for an appointment and from the word ‘go’ I was asked why I wanted gel polish on my toenails. My answer was that I liked gel nail polish.
Then she said, «but our pedicures last 3 weeks.»
«But I like gel polish on my fingers AND toes. Don’t you do gel polish for toes?»
«Yes yes of course.»
I’ve read about gel products for nails and frankly, everyone should do research on the products that are used on them. I know the risks these ingredients can have. I assume, to their credit, the Jolie staff are doing their due diligence in informing their clientele of the risks as well, or rather, trying to talk them into getting another service, like regular polish.
I arrived on time. Paula, (not the owner) was very nice, greeted me, ushered me to a seat and handed me the gel polish color palette. My nail tech, (not the owner) was also very professional and doing a great job on my pedicure.
Then the owner came over:
«Why do you want gel polish pedicure?»
(sic. .. repeat of conversation above.)
By this point my pedi was done and the tech was going to get the polish and again, the owner explains why she thinks gels are not good for TOES.
Seriously!!!
I’m looking her dead in the eyes. «But I like them.»
She walked away but she wasn’t done yet. This was the 3^rd time the gel polish for toes warning came up since I made a call to this salon.
The sweet nail tech is applying polish; toes are looking good; I’m happy; the nail tech is smiling and then. .. the owner comes over to do my manicure. She was pretty rough at the first nail and I pulled away. Anyone can make a mistake. She quickly adjusted and did a good job of shaping, cleaning the nail bed, and so forth.
By now, the gel pedi was completed and I’m loving it. They look good!
Then she said, «You DO understand why I’m concerned about gel on toes don’t you?»

Me: «If it’s so dangerous for the toes, why isn’t it dangerous for the hands???»
Owner: «Well. .. people use their hands a lot and. .. it looks good. .. they like it…» fade to silence.

The rest of the manicure proceeded in blessed silence. Manicure looked great and I commented that I’m really happy with it because my toes and fingernails match. =)
At checkout, she whispered something to the cashier. My bill was $ 90. Yikes!!! Yes, for real. I asked to see the price list. Sure enough, gel polish manicure was $ 30. No surprise there. I expected to pay that or somewhere around $ 30 but there was NO price for a gel pedi. I asked the cashier why the gel polish pedi was $ 60. She was flustered and said she usually doesn’t work as a cashier. I suggested she cancel the cc transaction so we could start over with the correct amount. «The owner» canceled the cc transaction. :) At the end, I paid $ 75 for GEL polish mani/​pedi and left a $ 20 tip, KNOWING I’m not going to return. Too bad.
Still, I endorse them for doing good work, just don’t ask for GEL polish pedicure while the owner is around.

I had a great experience at Jolie. My manicure started with Miss Tina. She was SO personable and accommodating. She and the owner/​manager (not sure which one) made me feel comfortable by helping me with my things, making sure I was OK, offering my water to stay hydrated, etc. Miss Tina also wanted me mani/​pedi experience to be perfect so she offered to change nail colors if I didnt like my choices. My facial and massage were also great. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the estheticians’ names, but they were also hospitable and made me feel comfortable. They even helped me carry my things out to the car while my nails were drying. Great service!

After receiving a gift certificate for a mani/​pedi from my boyfriend for Christmas, I made an appointment for a mani/​pedi and an eyebrow wax. The staff could not have been friendlier, and the service was excellent. It was exactly what you want during a nail/​spa experience: the staff was quiet, but very attentive. My waxing experience was good — I will likely come back when I’m due for another. The mani/​pedi was awesome. Being accustomed to the fast-​paced, busy cheap-​o salons, it was a great experience having a manicure and pedicure in a serene environment without lots of background noise and the usual strong stench of a nail salon. There was a wide selection of OPI colors and a line of all-​natural polish, too. It was clear that the nail technician was striving for perfection — constantly checking my nails to make sure they were perfectly smooth and perfectly painted and not hesitating to go back over the same areas. There was no feeling that she was trying to rush me out of there for the next appointment. In addition to the staff and atmosphere, the prices were very reasonable. It was very clear to me that customer service is high on the priority list at Jolie, and I can’t wait to go back.

Ask for Paula! If you want it done right, she is your go-​to technician. I went in for a Swedish massage and added on the hot stones. I felt so incredibly relaxed after, like I was floating. Paula made sure to ask me if the pressure was good and to make sure I let her know if I’d like her to ease up on any areas. Although my session started off quiet, I am a talker so I guess I kinda threw off the serene ambiance. Paula and I got along so well! She is an absolute doll and has an incredibly kind heart. At the end of my session she even took a look at my face and took care of two blackheads for FREE. Uhm, how kind. I’m from Miami and nothing in Miami is done for free.
From there I went on to get a pedicure. The chair are fully equip with a great massage but my Swedish massage was so good and I was so relaxed that I turned the chair massage off. The Asian girls pedicure technicians make sure the water temperature is exactly to your liking and a regular pedi is long lasting. They sure know how to massage those feet! I found that the buffing on my feet was kinda «eh». They also don’t get deep enough under the nail to clean out any toe debris. Not that I have much but I have such an amazing technician in Miami that I compare everyone to him now. Sorry if I sound biased but I expect the best for my money.
All in all, this place is great. The décor and ambiance well suit the service. It smells like relaxation from the moment you walk in. Their prices are also extremely reasonable for the level of service. I’ll definitely be making the hour drive to see Paula and the pedi girls again.

I came here for a one hour massage with a living social coupon. The appointment process was easy (I made my appointment the day before by phone) and check-​in was quick. There is a large room in front for pedicures and manicures, and that portion of the spa had a few customers. The back of the spa had some small rooms, mostly empty with rooms for massages, reflexology, and facials. The massage itself was ok, but I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend. The masseuse was quiet which was good, but she didn’t ask any questions about my preferences at all. I’ve definitely had better experiences elsewhere.
I would maybe come back to try the manicure/​pedicure services (the area definitely looked clean and well kept, and there was a good selection of OPI colors on display, with reasonable prices listed on the wall). I would not however return for any other spa services here (massage, facials).
There is a private parking lot in front of the store.

I had a Living Social coupon to use here and it was for a one hour massage. Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and the place was pretty clean. I had booked my appointment but I was told that the girl who was supposed to do my massage had calledin so they were going to have to figure out who would give it to me.
My massage was just okay. I’ve had much better. She talked the WHOLE time despite my hints of not really responding or just «uh huh-​ing» in agreement. Didn’t work. She’d get so caught up in her chatting she’d focus on one spot for a long time and kinda forget to move around. And, if you’re curious (which you must be if you’re here — heh) it was like a sales pitch the whole time.
It was about why she was so good and what they do differently and what other salons fail to do or understand about massages and all about what she knows about bodies and energies. which, you know, is great — but SHOW me, don’t TELL me.
I had added on a pedi, which was afterwards and it just… wasn’t that good. My feet were still dry when I left because she said that she didn’t want to scrub them anymore because they were dry. I explained that I’d been walking around during a trip to Chicago and she still didn’t feel comfortable. I understand they want to do what they feel is best but I’ve had my feet for 31 years. I know them by heart and how they are affected :) Also, during the pedi, I was chastized about why I shouldn’t let other salons cut my nails like they do, etc.
I’m sure I experienced it an ‘off’ day, I’ll say that much, and I’m sure not everyone who works there was like that… I’m just not jumping at the bit to ever go back.

Unilocal search didn’t have much for pedicures in Roswell, but Google pointed us here. I’m proud to be the first to review for Unilocal,especially to point out that I agree with the positive reviews that Google compiled at least as far as the pedicure is concerned. For $ 25, you get the massage chair, all the current OPI colors, a great massage, plenty of exfoliating, and VERY friendly service.
We made an appointment and were promptly greeted as having done so when we arrived. I’d brought my 6 week old son along since I didn’t have anyone to watch him, and he usually just sleep through stuff like this anyway. Sueli was the technician who helped us, and told me as she cooed over my son that I was lucky that they were a chemical free salon, and that I should be sure to double check in the future that salons don’t do acrylic nails since the fumes would be bad for the baby. Shows you how often I’m in the salon and how much I know about it when I do go…
We were a little late for our appointment, so one of the technicians had already left, and we had to share 2 between the 3 of us. I went first, since my son was waking up, and while the technician hurried so that I could take care of him, she still was meticulous and gave an very good massage.
Once she was done, she showed me to the reflexology chairs, which were in a dimly lit area with soothing music, so that I could get my son to calm down. I hate that I was that woman who brought her fussy baby to the salon, but they didn’t seem to mind and were quite accommodating.
