History
Established in 2013.
Thyme to Gather was started after owner, Jeanette Waterman completed a culinary program at Le Cordon Bleu and served her externship in Istanbul, Turkey at a cheesecake business named Marias Cheesecakes. Jeanette was inspired as a Pastry Chef there in Turkey to return home and start her business, Thyme to Gather.
Thyme to Gather was inspired and encouraged by many people who have been recipients of Jeanette’s cooking, hospitality and love of teaching people how to cook.
With a sales background in kitchen tools and as a former kitchen consultant for several years, Jeanette has combined her knowledge and skills into what she is most familiar with and has a passion for.
Meet the Business Owner
Jeanette W.
Business Owner
Graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, entrepreneur and passionate of all things culinary, Jeanette uses her gift of hospitality and background in sales to offer a variety of services to the needs of customers.
Jeanette grew up baking and learning to be creative with ingredients at an early age. She spent many years raising her, now four adult children, selling kitchen tools and offered in home cooking classes. She is passionate in teaching others ways to improve their culinary skills, kitchen tips, meal planning, prepping and presentation.
After a life changing transition, a raised family and a re-location, Jeanette decided to pursue her dream of attending culinary school. She completed the program with an externship in Istanbul, Turkey where she worked as a pastry chef for Maria’s Cheesecakes. An experience of a lifetime, Jeanette was inspired and encouraged and returned to CA, in the Sacramento region, to launch her business Thyme to Gather where she offers catering, classes and products.
