I eat sushi 3 – 4 times a week… Tang is the best sushi chef around. One of the very few that use real fish. I highly recommend it.

I just had what was hands down the best sushi dinner ever! Sat at the bar and Tang made us a completely personalized dinner based on our likes. Everything incredibly fresh and the flavor combinations were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. Prices very reasonable considering quality and quantity. It’s our 3rd time there. The staff is friendly and engaging and service is quick. We will definitely be going back.

3 times now I have ordered take out. I was told it would be ready in 20 min. I showed up in 30 min and still waiting 10 min. I ordered take out for a reason so I don’t have to sit around waiting. If this happens again I won’t be returning.

Love this little place! Great staff and good food too! Nice and quite most of the time, you don’t feel rushed, and you don’t have to deal with all the traffic like when you go over to mall area.

We recently moved to the area and are trying new restaurants in the area. This place is a find. Super fresh sushi and excellent service. Just the two of us so I can’t tell you about large groups. Large selection of sushi, of course, but also a wide variety of other menu items. We will be back to try other selections and will recommend to our family and friends.

we actually visited this place due to proximity from the house we were visiting in roseville. this place was kinda packed on a saturday night but they were able to seat us(a group of eight) after waiting 5 minutes for somebody to meet us at the door. all the servers were visibly occupied and only one managed to give us eye contact to actually seat us. the wait for our orders took longer than usual(comparing them to our faves Ninja Sushi and PK Sushi) and the food was at best 5⁄10. the sashimi plate that we ordered did not have the wasabe and ginger that comes along with it and we almost finished the fish before we finally got these sides.

Chef Tang made a custom roll of all different kinds of fish based on what I like. It was delicious, definitely give it a try!

Came here tonight for my birthday dinner, and it was great! Rob(the owner?) came and sat with us and gave us some great suggestions. We had spicy garlic edamame, a dragon roll, Hawaiian roll(which was amazing) and lobster roll«Rob’s way» with Thai basil. Everything was SO good! Finished off with some mochi, and left completely happy and stuffed! We love this place!

This is one of the best sushi restaurants I have been too. Tang is a true artist and creates delishis dishes. The first time my wife and I sat at the bar, I told Tang to make us whatever he wanted. Since then, I have never told him what to make, and we have been going weekly ever since. I think the best way to enjoy this restaurant is to sit at the bar and just let Tang do what he does best. The only down side is that Tang is the only chef, and the restaurant is becoming quite popular. So, don’t be in a hurry when you go.

The food is great but they only have on chef and he is slow Rollin’! If you aren’t in a hurry then this place has a great ambiance and nice unique rolls.

I am VERYDISAPPOINTED! I came here with my sister and her 2kids to order food for to go. We placed our orders in 5mins, I was playing with my niece and nephew while waiting so I lost track of time and realized we’ve been waiting for half hour. I waited an extra 10 mins and approached the server who took our order and asked her how much longer did we need to wait. She then told me that they’re backed up in the kitchen. I looked around and there were ONLY5 tables taken and a couple of people at d bar! There are 2servers there. The other server then came back and said it’ll take another 10mins at d most for our order coz d kitchen was«backed» up. Ok fine. 10 mins passed by, still no main orders ready but my sashimi and a roll. The soup had gone cold btw so my sister had my nephew take a sip coz d kids were already complaining that they’re hungry. Another 10mins came and some orders came out. We’ve tried to keep our cool coz were not d type of people who’d make a scene at any places. The server checked our orders and my sister asked for extra tofu for the miso soup coz my nephew loves tofu, my sister even mentioned she’s willing to pay for it but the server said no need to and handed us a SMALL container with less than 10tiniest cubes of tofu! Are you freaking kidding me?! This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had! Btw, the other server tried avoiding us d whole time and looked snobbish too. Total waiting time was 1hr 10mins. I am a server/manager at a restaurant/bar and We handle 10tables per server for our brunch, we are CRAZYBUSY all d time, and I can say that I’ve never had my costumers wait for so long without letting them know what’s going on or checking up on them.

I would give Sakura and Chef Tang 10 stars! We went last night for the first time and are so glad we decided to stop there! Tang made everything special for us based on what we liked. Everything we tried was mouth watering! I highly suggest sitting at the bar! We will definitely be back for sure. Next time will be for Happy Hour…$ 2.00 draft Kirin! Thank you Tang for welcoming us and making our night one to remember. Thank you Lisa for being such a fun and sweet waitress! We look forward to coming back soon.

Like some others said already, Chef Tang Le is awesome! The food is top shelf, and he’s so friendly and easy to talk with. Tell him what you like and he’ll customize your plate to please your taste buds! I love this place, will go back again and again.

The quality of the product speaks for itself! This place is one of the best if not the best sashimi dining experiences I’ve had. The chef is confident, passionate, and proud of the creations he shares & you will most certainly taste it!

Came for lunch and the place was dead. Waitress was very attentive and probably bored. Ordered two rolls, don’t remember the names. One had salmon and one unagi. They were good but just no pizazz. And the the fish was a bit smaller than average size although the rolls were pretty long. Overall…meh.

This is a very nicely appointed restaurant that has friendly service. Came in for lunch and I was served timely. I ordered the Sakura Roll and it was a bit off. The roll has deep fried shrimp and spicy tuna on the inside and torched salmon and avocado on the outside. It also had a dollup on every other piece of their Sakura sauce. I tasted a hint of garlic and found it quite enjoyable. I hate when items are over sauced but this was criminally under sauced. The portion was massive. Pretty restaurant with decent sushi. Not a bad experience.

Need to give it a second try… This review is for their happy hour. We arrived about 5:45p we wanted to try this restaurant for the first time during happy hour so we said we would come back shortly. Needless to say we were not too happy with their Happy Hour. First of all, the happy hour schedule is between 6:30p-7:30p, one hour. Second, there were only four food items to choose from, Third, the portions were pricey and too small. For the same price elsewhere we would have been full with just one meal each. From their menu we tried the Yakitori, which was like teriyaki meat on a skewer. Also tried the chicken Karaage which is like breaded chicken nuggets. They tasted okay. The menu is a heavy hard bound fancy leather cover that, for some reason, reminded me of a Louis Vuitton design. The location is very close to my workplace so I wanted to dine here for the convenience. The restaurant was nice inside and clean. Décor was nice inside and out. There is a full sushi bar and patio seating as well. Service was excellent, very attentive to our table. We were told that there will be more choices in the future in their happy hour menu and, also, they might also change the time to add one more hour. Might come back to try their lunch or dinner items next time… it’s a little pricey for my budget at the moment. For now you don’t need to make reservations, there are a lot of seats available during dinner time…
