Roseville Dental Center

If I could give this place a minus 100 I would. I was looking for a dentist and this was reasonably close to my home. The front desk was horribly rude. I waited forever to actually see the doctor and when I did he tried to tell me I had over 20 cavities that all needed to be filled right away. He was rude and had no bedside manner and then all of a sudden disappeared. I literally spent 3 hours in the office for a new patient exam. Then I get to the front desk and the lady who is just the receptionist is going over things that the doctor should be going over. I asked them to email me the xrays and such so I could send back to my dentist in Ohio. He asked me if the doctor was young and I said yes. He told me that a lot of the private practice dentists like this one who tend to be young are trying to make a ton of money by procedures that they have no business doing and he was absolutely right. Dentists like this give hard working honest dentists a bad name. Shame on you and your terrible practice.

So this last year I have been coming here to get treatment for my daughter, at first they all seemed very friendly and I was very pleased with how they treated us, so I had scheduled a follow up for my daughter and unfortunately I had gotten called in for work early the day of my daughters appt. So I had called to reschedule 3 hours prior to her appt. The receptionist who I spoke with was very rude to me on the phone and says to me that next time I would of had to notify them 48hrs before hand or else I would get charged a $ 50 fee I was like whoa! Are you kidding me that seems a little ridiculous and I have never heard of such a stupid policy like that. I told her that things come up and that I at least called way ahead of time to notify you guys she then replied that it doesn’t matter and that I would be charged a fee, my response was that I guess it doesn’t matter to the dentist for losing a patient and that I will find another dentist for myself and daughter. Nice way of getting over on people. Change your policy!

We found the reception waiting room small and poorly furnished. The treatment rooms are also very small, uncomfortable and depressing. We were left there alone for 10 to 15 minutes between procedures by Dr. Vong and the technicians without explanation. Dr. Vong recommended several treatments. We later discovered that many were unnecessary. His charges were unreasonably high.
This practice is not to be recommended.

I’ve been looking for a new dentist in the Roseville/​Rocklin area for a few months now, and I came across Roseville Dental Center a month or so ago. I scheduled a new patient appointment to get my X-​Rays done, and to find out how much work I would need. The staff seemed friendly enough, but I was in the facility for over 2 hours and only 20 minutes of that time was spent with the dentist.
There is only one dentist in the office, so if you’re going to visit this location make sure you don’t have any plans for the rest of the day. The girl who did my x-​Rays was kind, but she scraped the top of my mouth with the bitewings, and had to do them over 3 times because «the picture wasn’t showing up.» This should’ve been enough for me, but I guess I’m a glutton for punishment, because I went back the following week for an extraction.
I was given Lidocaine, a numbing agent that works about half as long as novocaine, and I was left in my room for almost an hour. I’d had two extractions prior to this visit, and never have I ever experienced the kind of pain I felt here. I have a high tolerance for pain, but I was literally writhing in pain and grunting in my chair as the dentist played tug-​of-​war with my tooth. He showed no concern for my discomfort and insisted that what I was feeling was pressure, not pain.
No.
I could literally feel my tooth being ripped from my gums and he didn’t stop pulling, nor did he offer me more medicine to numb it. Totally unprofessional and a tightwad. Needless to say, I was pissed when I got out of the chair, and even with gauze in my mouth I told them how horrible my experience was and that I would not be returning.
Word of advice, don’t let the kind demeanor of the front workers fool you. They know you’re going to be there forever, and they’re being nice so you won’t get angry about the wait. Also, prepare to be quoted a very high price for work you don’t even need. I’m so tired of the dental industry charging outrageous prices and recommending work that isn’t necessary. This place really needs to learn to value their patients.

This is a follow up from my previous review. I just read another review here that sounds very similar to mine, and I want to encourage that person to report this dentist to the dental board as I did. This office is not a safe place, and I believe it’s our duty to protect others from having the same experience we have endured.

WORST experience ever!!!
I just moved to Roseville and was hoping this will be our next «family» dentist but I am so glad I did the first try before I bring my son and the husband. I had the weirdest experience, I will not mention her name but this lady brought me to a cubicle/​room and started asking me routine questions. I was in a happy mood and so we were kinda laughing in between interview/​conversation. After that, she would go in and out of the room checking for i don’t know. She NEVER introduce herself. I wasn’t sure of what to do. Doctor checked me for about 1minute and left. I thought we were waiting for the doctor to be available to do the cleaning but to my surprise, after that looooonnggg wait while she’s sitting behind my chair she decided it’s time to clean my teeth. She started scraping bottom teeth and LEFT the room after each teeth, 4 TOTAL. I was hurt and raised my hand (not instructed or whatsoever) to let her know and she still chose to scrape one more time! I almost cried. She NEVER told me what’s going on. What she’s going to do. Doctor came in and asked what she sees and she couldn’t respond instead she opened my mouth and point a teeth but can’t come up with a word. Doctor CHECKED another 2 bottom teeth but did not clean. Doctor left. Another lady was passing by our room and was called to come in and helped her. They proceeded with the gum checking and that’s when I finally find my gut to say how uncomfortable, painful, nervous I was and that I wanted another person to finish it for me. i tried my best to explain myself in a respectful way despite me shaking, hands cold. I chose not to run and just left, why? still asking myself.
A gentleman came in to finish cleaning, nice enough to explain why it was painful and kind of helped me relax and I was asked to show him how I floss (I did 3) He then apply fluoride. THAT’S IT!
4 teeth cleaned! NO FLOSSING, NO SCALERS, NO WATER SPRAY. Maybe there’s more I’m missing. Sounds disgusting, right?
I spent 2.5 hours in this office for that service.
Please find other dentist. I will drive back to Santa Cruz once every 6 months.
Update: 12÷1÷2015
I kept getting an appointment reminder for 3 times (different months) now for one I have never made! I already responded to their text, canceled the first one by phone, and I just received another 2 reminder. If I remember correctly, there was a penalty for a no show to your appointment. I have used my card in here and I am afraid one day if I’m not able to cancel they will charge me. Very bad business practice!

Great assistant and hygienist, could do without the doctor though.

Worst dentist ever! Went in for a cavity. He drilled to deep causing so much pain months later still such pain I have to go to a different dentist to get it fixed. Horrible bed side manner got up in middle of cleaning and just left. Someone else came into finish without telling me what was going on. I will never go back!!!

I went through several dental clinics in the Sacramento area, till my friends recommended me to Dr. Henry Vong. He is extremely nice, detailed, and gentle on all his procedures making my appointment very comfortable. To me, it showed that he was both skillful and professional, and I very much enjoyed the welcome atmosphere of his office. He paid extra attention to make sure I was happy with the results. All the staff members appeared to be passionate about their job and do sincerely care about their patients. Best of all, he has one of the best office hours of anyone I screened, because his clinic is open early and closes late and even operates on Saturdays which is fantastic to work around my schedule. I am so happy that I finally found a reliable dentist I can count on in this area and would highly recommend Dr. Vong if you are seeking high quality dental care and service.

It was a Saturday, and I had a tooth ace that was causing my jaw and temple to hurt and cause me migraines. There were only a few dentists in the area, and Dr. Henry Vong was just down the road. I called there office and they were able to get me in within 2 hrs. I ended up having a molar that needed a root canal. Dr. Henry Vong was able to do the procedure that day, and work out a great deal for me payment wise. I still am going back for my crown, but I feel much better, and was satisfied with his whole teams help. They were professional, and timely. Best dentist I have seen in years. I would highly recommend Dr Vong to anyone. Plus there open Saturdays.

I tried Roseville Dental Center because they offered a Groupon special, and were near where I live. It turned out to be a very good experience. They made the appointment right away and the wait time was short. The checkup was as thorough as any I’ve ever had, and I ended up also getting a filling. Friendly staff, and they did a professional job. Overall very positive.

Dr. Henry Vong is the best dentist ever! He is extremely skilled and cares about his patients. I went to Dr. Vong for a deep teeth cleaning and teeth whitening. I usually have anxiety of pain, but Dr. Vong is very gentle. I felt zero pain! Now, my teeth is super duper clean and white! I highly recommend Dr. Vong!

I was very happy with their service and just wanted to share with you. The quality of care I received was superior to any dental clinic I’ve ever been to! Dr Vong and his staff were most courteous and ensured that I was comfortable. I feel that I received the some of the best quality treatments that were available on the market. Dr. Vong was absolutely wonderful! He was gentle in his maneuvers, and strived to provide above and beyond dental care to me, even if it required spending extra time behind the scene and chair-​side. His staff Victor was also very patient and ensured that I was comfortable with great chair-​side manners! Also, Vicki at the reception greeted me with a cheerful smile upon walk-​in. I would highly recommend this «V» team for your next dental appointment. :)
