L&L has to be one of our favorite places to pick up food. We often come here for take out, but have dined in on occasion. The staff is very kind and service is great. I’m a big fan of their BBQ Mix combo. Can’t get enough of the chicken. This location isn’t too far from our house. I wish there was one closer to my work in Rancho Cordova. We are big fans of this place. I think I could eat here a couple of times a week. The food is great and it’s a great value.

I love this L & L location and I’ve eaten here as a regular for the past two years. I’ve invited co-workers to dine with me as well as my family and tonight I had the worst experience with one of their newest cashiers named Patty«from the Bay». She knows absolutely nothing about customer service and definitely knows nothing about the Aloha spirit, so why she works at a Hawaiian style restaurant, I don’t have a clue. My says, «I’m born and raised in the islands and that’s not how we treat one another.» She disrespected my wife and she replies, «I’ve never visited the islands, I’m from the Bay and that’s just how we do it!» I think had the owner of this restaurant saw her actions tonight she would have earned a swift termination from employment. She made no attempt to restore good will and definitely was not acting on behalf of the owner of this establishment. It’s her job to provide the experience of dining in Hawaiian style and she could care less about the Hawaiian culture. She is seemingly just there to collect a paycheck. Again, I’m a regular at this restaurant and every cashier before her has greeted me with the words Aloha! Her fretting consisted of «take out orders only sir, it’s after 915.» She insisted on arguing and being rude to my wife and it was totally unacceptable. If I were the owner of this establishment, I could not have someone like Patty from the Bay on the front lines greeting my guests and treating them in whatever manner is consistent with her current mood, it’s just not good business. I would never dream of telling someone how to run their business, but I cannot fathom a business owner/franchisee who would not investigate this matter and look to resolve it immediately; after all, the business has a reputation to uphold and needs employees who always want to represent the business in a positive way. Tonight that did not occur and I was very disappointed to see how L & L went from a place I loved to eat, to a place that is misrepresenting the Aloha spirit.

We wanted to try something new. I liked it. Even my 8 year old liked it! He ordered the loco mock which is like hamburger steak with rice and gravy and then topped with an egg. I got fried shrimp and my husband got the Korean BBQ meat. Yummy and quick! Inexpensive too.

I’ve found L&L’s to be pretty hit-and-miss, but this one is good. Nice service, food prepared the way it’s supposed to, and they even have some cool additions to the menu like kimchee, poi, and malasadas. It’s a nice change of pace from your standard burger or sandwich place.

If it wasn’t for the concept of getting fat when eating alot. I would be at this place constantly. Wonderful tasting food all a great mixture of what I love. Still I haven’t satified my hungry for l and l. Going on a conquest of trying all of it.

I am not a picky person but this place is terrible! Everything is extremely salty! Portions are so small! My Katsu was more breaking and panko than actual chicken and the curry was again salty! Not good at all.

This place is great. Food is delicious and well priced. If your looking for some close to authentic Hawaiian food give this location a try. If it’s your first time eating there, then you have to try to Loco Moco as a appetizer and either the BBQ or katsu chicken as a main dish. Neither one will fail you, they are both safe choices. The SPAM musubi is addicting and I can’t eat there without one. Don’t go here expecting to eat a super healthy, low calorie or low sodium dish. This food is as close as it gets to Hawaiian without leaving the mainland. So no organic here. But in exchange you get a really nice environment, great reggae music, the Hawaiian Sun canned drinks are available for purchase.

About 3.5 stars. This place isn’t usually busy the times I have come in, but I had decided to do take-out today for once. I ordered 3 musubi and a healthy plate with bbq chicken. The plate was supposed to come with brown rice, but when I got home and opened it I had received white rice instead. Prior to coming in I had called them to place my order to save time, but I could not understand the lady on the phone due to how fast she was talking. These people are usually nice, however, so customer service is never really an issue. Their food is decent-good, but I usually make a stop here specifically to get my spam musubi fix.

Thank goodness for this Hawaiian oasis in Roseville. Great and speedy service. The food is aways awesome. It’s my go to restaurant when I don’t feel like cooking. The Lau Lau is my absolute favorite!

This is my go to lunch spot for BBQ chicken or beef. They are quick and friendly with generous portions. Their sticky rice is perfect every time. Their BBQ ribs are a little fatty but great flavor but they don’t give you much(ribs only) in the BBQ mix plate. The meal itself is very hearty and generous.

Food was great, portions and price were fair. Will definitely find an opportunity to come back here to try the rest of the menu. Staff seemed distant when we ordered, may have been an off day for the guy so I don’t want to get him in trouble but that kept this review from being 5 stars.

This place is just ok. I ordered the Loco Moco mini and a spam musubi. The portions were so so. The Musubi was small. The best L&L in Sacramento that I’ve been to was the one in the Greenhaven Pocket area. They make good food and the portions are what is expected at a «Hawaiian» food spot. Food wasn’t too bad here but it’s not good enough for me to come back.

I get the usual bbq chicken and loco moco. my first time here and the chicken was undercooked! The second time I ordered a loco moco. My plate was drowning in the gravy but it was runny gravy! Yuck. I feel like this location needs to improve on their cooking. Cook the food thoroughly with better quality! I will not return. The second trip did it for me.

Oh my — is there a Hawaiian word that beats ONO? Tastiest grinds this side of the Pacific! My problem is I always oda too much because I can’t make up ma mind. I want it all! Here’s a sampling of what I’ve had: chicken katsu plate — comes with steamed rice, mac salad. Katsu was nice and crispy and not too greasy at all. kalua pork plate — comes with steamed rice, mac salad, Lau Lau and kalua pork. I thought the kalua pork was salty but the cabbage was nice and fresh. Lau Lau was yum yum but I was a bit disappointed with what was on the inside. Pretty much nothing but a lot of fat and the salt cod was so tiny and I wanted more! SPAM musubi — the nori is very fresh and crispy — not soggy and soft. Nice piece of SPAM and I always order several. Haupia — while I make better this isn’t too bad in a pink. The consistency is more like jell-o than thick pudding/custard. Poi — always tasted very fresh. They don’t always have it so make sure to ask if they got! Teri chicken plate — comes with steamed rice, mac salad, teriyaki chicken. I loved that they served you all parts of the chicken. I love dark meat and often feel gypped when all I get is dry breast meat. Their meat is tender, moist and very tasty! All bbq plate — comes with rice, mac salad, and kalbi(koren style short ribs), teri beef, teri chicken. Everyting is so good and taste fresh! PROS: Establishment — clean and inviting environment. I haven’t used the restrooms so no comment there. Menu — everything you can think of and more. I am always trying something new but continue to order the staples of items. If you want POI — ask if they have it. They don’t always — so just ask. Next time I’m going try that Kim Chee they have. I love their mac salad … but wish they offered a potato/mac combination salad. So traditional for plate lunch! Service — friendly folks behind the counter and they are pretty fast at getting orders ready. CONS: Location — parking lot is always crowded because of all the other stores in the center — if you’re lucky you can get a spot up front. Times — I was in the area recently on a Saturday and found out they open at 11:00am … I wanted food earlier than that and walk away in the rain with no food! I’ll keep this in mind and time my «outings» better. I’ve never been to another L&L so have only experienced this one and I love it! Their SPAM musubi is the best I’ve had!

My first time to try Hawaiian food. Kalua Pork and BBQ chicken and beef were good. It came with macaroni salad and white rice. I didn’t like the Lau Lau at all. Taro leaf flavor was awful. Macaroni salad has too much mayo. Kalua Pork was salty but flavorful. Food is probably better served in plates and not styro foam container. Overall experience is a little disappointing. Two stars for the Kalua Pork and BBQ. Most likely it’s our first and last time here.

MESOHUNGRY! I liked this place the first time I visited because the food was good tasting, the overall facility was clean and the workers were friendly. Barbecue, not barbeque, chicken with macaroni salad are my favorites. Today, I returned after a month or more and was not as happy as the first time. The men’s bath room need more help, the woman’s bath room is fair. The place needs something I can express. The food was alright, but I am not as thrilled with it as before. Hope to be back soon or maybe the thrill is gone.

First time here, service was good. Friendly staff. The reason I stopped by was because I wanted to try the ramen noodle burger. Heard people raved about it so I was tempted to give it a try. At first bite, I knew that we weren’t meant to be. Sad and disappointed. But for presentation, I’ll give it a 8! It was neatly wrapped. I guess I’ll go try some new things on the menu soon. Maybe the BBQ short ribs!
