Good adult education classes at a good price via Sierra College Adult/​Community Education Services. I have taken the Summer Pies and Tarts Class in June. I had enough product to open a shop with at the end of class. I have a class on Yucatan Cuisine lined up for August, and Indian Cooking for the American Kitchen in September. I am so glad that the Inst. of Tech is back in the Adult Ed catelogs. The chef instructors here are awesome.

A big part of my enrolling in this school was the annual trip to Europe for the Culinary Arts Professional — AOS degree program. This trip is part of tuition and now we are being told we cannot go this year…
I think it is so unfair that we will not be going to Europe this year. Here is the email I recieved from Chef Don yesterday regarding the trip that we as students have worked so hard to accomplish. Now they are saying the trip will be some where in the US. First off I do not need a $ 30, 000 degree to go anywhere here in the US or a passport (that I piad for just for this trip) and to my understanding a trip to Europe was a part of my tuition… not a trip within the US. I feel chaeted and tricked to enroll in this school nad they used Europe to do it.

«BrightStar Education Group has decided, based on the economic climate and the overall concern with safety in Europe that we will change our culinary trip immediately to be held at a site to be determined in the continental US. We believe this move will accomplish a few things, 1) allow graduates who have qualified for this experience to be able to go on this and…2) keep them safe.»
I just want to know what safety issues are they having in Europe that would cause them to cancel our trip seeing that they just hosted the Olympics. I have not heard of any safety problems they are having over there. And what econmic climate are they talking about?
Sounds like IOT has spent our money and we are paying for it twice.
