Ok, let me start by saying that we bought my wedding/​engagement set (except the diamond) from Guzzetta and its beautiful. At the time the customer service was «meh» at best. I had to wait a long time each time I entered the store and the clerks were average at best. My husband bought my diamond from another popular diamond retailer in town and I have had a wonderful experience there (in contrast to Guzzetta).
Recently my husband bought me a necklace pendant with my daughters’ birthstones from Guzzetta. (He is all about supporting small businesses). The piece is beautiful. However, when he went to pick up my pendant there was a new salesperson (a young man) who was working and sold him a cheap necklace (all they had that day in silver, so I guess my husband got the leftovers). And the pendant didn’t even fit on the necklace properly, but he sold it to my husband anyway. The salesman had to add an extension or something to the necklace to make the pendant work. And it made the necklace look odd.
My husband is really not into jewelry so when the salesman told him that they would solder the chain closed with the pendant on it when he brought it back, I was in shock. What if I would want to wear a different chain for whatever reason? Plus the chain was way too short. I chalked it up to the new salesman.
It is now the end of January, and I finally called to do the return and was told exchanges only. The reason for exchange is not because we are out of the return period, but because it is their standard policy, even when they mess up. Fortunately, I already have a couple of necklaces that fit my pendant and don’t want to have to choose some random chain from their store.
I talked to a cordial gentleman on the phone named Vince. He was exasperated with me because I told him that I wanted to come down and get my money back for an inexpensive chain and explained the circumstances. He said when I visit the store that they would look at my chain and «consider» the cash back return. That was all he could promise on the phone, because he said that how would he know what I was saying was true. WTF? I don’t blame Vince, but I am unimpressed with very strict policies and their inability to at least say, «yes, if the chain does not properly fit your pendant as you describe then we have no problem giving you money back because WE MADE A MISTAKE.»
It would be an easy fix and they would have kept a customer. Apparently Mr. Vince’s hands were tied. He tried to get me to come down to the store with only the possibility of an exchange or, if they happen to be feeling particularly generous, then money back. But based on what he told me on the phone, I feel like receiving any money back from Guzzetta for substandard service and product is a long shot and the customer is made to feel like we are putting Guzzetta out.
When visiting Guzzetta in the past, I have waited a long time for service. With a demanding career and kids, I just don’t have the time to waste if the outcome is likely not going to be in our favor.
But I definitely made the time today to let you know about their absolute crap customer service policy and their inability to make you feel like a valued customer on the phone.
Guzzetta just lost a customer, and I will let all my friends and colleagues know to skip Guzzetta too. All over an inexpensive chain. How much would it have cost to fix the situation? Not much. But poor customer service is poor customer service. Way too many other games in town that provide much higher customer service.

I showed up at the store at 10:05AM. It supposedly opens at 10:00. The door was locked. The lady inside looked up at me and then continued her work in the jewelry case. I went to sit in my car right in front of the store window and still no acknoledgement. I left. After reading the reviews about poor customer service I guess I’m not surprised and perhaps taking my business elsewhere is a good idea anyway.

Where do I begin? I’m recently engaged and my wonderful fiancé purchased my engagement ring at Guzzetta Jewelers in Roseville, CA. I am not a flashy girl and I personally don’t like gotti jewelry, sentimental pieces are my favorite… they mean the most, all of which my fiancé is well aware of. Upon receiving my ring, I was full of joy and felt it was a great representation of me and quickly fell in love. Needless to say, I was unable to wear it because it was two sizes too small. No biggie, it can be resized! After some time of «oohing» & «awwing» over it, I was bummed I couldn’t wear my special ring. It was then I quickly noticed the quality of the band. The discoloration and slight bent on the shaft. After careful review, I asked my fiancé how his experience with Guzzetta went and if he knew the size he was given. He proceeds to tell me how he felt as if they intently gave him poor customer service based on his modest budget, and belittled him for his choice of sized diamond. He specifically told the sales lady that he needs a 7.5…my ring size. Before coming to Guzzetta, he went to other places in search of the perfect ring and landed at Guzzetta’s.
We then decided we would go to another jeweler to have it looked at, given at the time, Guzzetta was closed. Going in, I wanted to see if they would pick up on what I noticed and telling them I just needed to know the size of the ring and get a rough estimate on sizing. Low and behold… they noticed and gave me their honest opinion without bad mouthing Guzzetta, and actually showing respect of my fiancé’s choice of ring! With the information I recieved, we decided to give Guzzetta the benefit of the doubt, and see if they can fix it.
The following day, we went in and told the gentleman we were given the wrong ring size. Too my shock, no apologies were given. Just a simple «do you have the ring?» & «try this size». I then explained to him that there was a slight bent on the shaft, and he assured me it would be fixed once they size it up free of cost. Ok, great! It was a quick in and out visit, and handed them my ring and waited for my phone call back for pick up.
They called & I proceeded to drive over to pick up my ring. Upon receiving my newely modified ring, I noticed that it felt a little off on my finger, and had seen the shaft was still bent if not more! I bring it to the sales lady attention, and she tries to explain that it was the design of the ring. I disagreed. She was rude and condescending. She then goes on by saying «if it were a bigger diamond we could fix it». How is the size of the diamond relative to the shaft of the band? Makes no sense, absurd! I respectfully asked her to explain it to me and she couldn’t. All she kept saying is that it was a «small diamond» & it was «the design of the band». You can clearly see the shaft angles up to the right. After explaining this to her, she then blames me and says «that maybe you did something to it when you were forcing it on before resizing?» I BEG YOUR PARDON!?! I was clearly upset. So withought causing any attention to myself, I just picked up my ring and left.
As I’m heading out the door, I hear the same lady snickering, laughing and muttering to another lady behind the counter. Clearly she was talking about me, because when I turned around and looked backed at them, they quickly looked the other way. Call me paranoid, but it was obvious given that one other couple were on the opposite side of the store.
We will no longer be doing service with Guzzetta and telling our friends and family of our experience. Regardless of your budget, whether it be spending $ 25k to $ 20 on one of their pieces… do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where they treat you fairly, respectfully and have good work ethics. Their lack of professionalism and good customer service is a huge disappointment!

The worst customer service you can imagine. We took my husbands wedding band in for a simple repair. (It got bent somehow). The man who helped us was abrupt, rude and impatient. He barely glanced at the ring and quickly told us that it would be $ 20.00 a solder… and the repair would require several, plus the cost for any other repairs that were required. We of course asked why? We were TOLD the band had several cracks. (Not shown) He then abruptly told one of the office girls to just give us a claim check. We were like, «whoa whoa… where are the cracks?» «Wait, show us what needs to be done». The man continued to respond to our simple questions with an aggressively bad attitude. We walked out WITH our ring…(lost customers)
We then went over to Fountains to the Kenny G. & Company Jewelers. The Manager, Robert Hewitt happened to be there… he inspected the band. NO CRACKS. Immediately repaired the bent band in front of us… then buffed it to sparkling new… beautiful job… NO CHARGE! Now that’s service. Will we be back to Kenny G & Company? Will we tell our friends? You bet! But thumbs down to Guzzetta.

I took my husbands grandfathers watch here for repair as a gift for our first anniversary. The watch was to be cleaned and repaired and the band was missing a link cover, which I also asked to be repaired. When I picked up the watch after three weeks,(just in time for our anniversary) the link was not repaired. They told me to bring it back in after our anniversary, which I did. Three weeks later, they called but didn’t leave a message. I called back and was told that the watch was ready for pick up. When I went in, nothing had been done. When I asked why it wasn’t repaired, I was told that the original estimate was only for the watch itself and it needed a new band. It is unwearable in its current condition. Why they didn’t bother to tell me this is beyond my comprehension. Not only did they not adjust the price ($ 96.00), they didn’t even offer an apology for no repair, no phone call, no customer service! I will not be returning to this jeweler as they are clearly not interested in making their customers happy!

Recommended by Andre a retired jeweler who we did business with as well as Ropers! I mentioned a couple of jewelers to replace him as he was retired and he said «not good options Monica, go next door to see Gary». I had no idea they were there but so thankful that I do now. Awesome customer service, greeted with a smile, beautiful display of jewels… I wanted all of them!
I have a new home! They sized a new setting and set my diamond. Looks beyond fabulous! Gary and staff are the best in town!

I came in to exchange my husbands wedding ring due to him having an allergic reaction to it. Our ring was under warranty and were told initially we could exchange if needed by our old jeweler. We recently moved here and did not buy our ring at Guzzetta but they carry the same brand. After many frustrating calls to the manufacturer trying to figure out their policy in our situation, Guzzetta helped us with finding a new ring and dealing with the manufacturer. Freddy was our helper the whole time. He cared so much about our happiness and even though they weren’t really making money off of us, he strived to give us a positive experience. We have found our new jeweler in Roseville!

Took my watch in for a new battery. Salesman (D. Carpenter) couldn’t get the back off so I had to leave it for the «watchmaker». A week later, I picked it up. The watch had not been set to the time or date. I set it and left to pick up my husband. I left the store at 2:30 and got to his office at 2:15. The watch was running backwards!!! This is a Raymond Weil ($ 1,000) watch. I’ve had the battery replaced for the past 3 years at this store. They are the only store that opened the back of this watch. They wanted me to return the watch for «repairs». I don’t trust a watchmaker who would damage a watch and return it without saying anything about the damage he did. Why would I trust him to «fix it»??
I took the watch to Ben Bridges and they found the circuit coil had been cut, probably when the back was forced off. This caused the watch to run backwards. BB fixed it for $ 113 (w/​tax). I have asked Guzzetta for reimbursement for the damage they caused and have gotten nothing but stall tactics from Gary Guzzetta. Next step is small claims court.
Beware of this store! They are dishonest and lack integrity.

If you want amazingly gorgeous jewelry with lots of options to choose from, go see Gary Guzzetta. The rings he created for me are just absolutely beautiful. His suggestions are always right on. The craftsmanship of his jewelers is outstanding. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. A jeweler you can trust, and a store you can enjoy shopping in.

Great service, needed ring resized and received excellent service. I would recommend based on friendly service and quality.

A friend suggested that we go to Guzzetta’s in Roseville to get a special gift. That was several years ago and we have been back many times to get custom and beautiful items for ourselves and relatives, including my son who had an unique wedding band made for his wife. Just as important to us have been the many pieces of family jewelry that they have repaired, remounted or restored. While the value of some of these items was only sentimental, they have treated them all with respect and professional expertise. We found the staff to be always helpful, charming and friendly. Even though this is a bit of a drive for us, it’s always worth the trip. Highly recommended!

Very happy with my experience with Guzzetta & Co. The staff were not only kind and helpful but very accommodating as well. I love that its a family owned business because that’s exactly what it feels like. I was treated with nothing but courtesy and was given a great price for what I was looking for. As long as I’m living in the greater Sacramento region, I will be going nowhere else. Special thanks to Dave Carpenter for all of his extra help.

Wow… we bought our wedding rings and now they’ve lost me as a customer. Came in for a simple earring back replacement and the salesmen mixed up my original back with all of their backs. After finally locating what he thought was my original he gave it back without even addressing what just happened. The back he ordered came in and it didn’t fit so after my third trip in I was just treated so poorly. It was this salesmen expectation that the backs rarely fit and it usually takes 10 tries before getting one that does. They seemed very put out that I came in asking for a refund. I’m baffled how when u had the original earring and original back to compare when ordering a replacement it’s not possible to get it right. And if I’m coming in to return it I would expect an apology for wasting my time instead of how it’s typical and what I should expect. We will spend our money elsewhere. So disappointing.

I seriously have no idea how this jewelry store has gotten rated the best in Sacramento. They have absolutely no customers service in their Roseville store and unless you are purchasing something from them, forget it. They are rude, the sales person that greets you is extremely difficult to understand and condescending. Wake up people voting this company the best in Sacramento is a joke.

I specifically chose Guzzetta & Company knowing that they were rated one of Sacramento’s best. I was very happy with the selection. They had a variety of jewelry in the showroom, however I was not able to purchase what I wanted during my visit. If you need to order something, prepare for it to take a bit longer than their estimate. Their jewelry designer is an independent contractor and works by his own calendar, so dependability of just when your item will be available will vary. I think once you walk out the door, if you haven’t spent a gazillion $$$ they kinda forget you.

Never have I had a worse shopping experience. Ever. I purchased a wedding ring for my fiancé with the reassurance that if it wasn’t just right it could be returned or exchanged. Not so. Wedding was canceled and my first call was to them to return the ring (which I had never even picked up and did not have in my possession). I was told no returns. No exceptions. They absolutely didn’t care why I no longer needed the ring. My husband-​to-​be was cheating on me and I was forced to focus my energy on this? To make a long story short it turned into two months of phone calls between myself, the owner and their financial department. I finally got my money back but I was left with such a horrible taste in my mouth I only have swear words to describe how I feel about them. If you still aren’t sure if you want to purchase jewelry from them, take a look on the Internet. Their prices are marked up about 300% for the same men’s wedding bands. If I could award them with no stars I would.

The owners are very honest and take time to explain what you’re buying and its value. They are not a chain store, and the profits do not go to a large corporation, but rather into the family business. Buying jewelry is stressful enough without being afraid of being «taken for a ride»; coming here you’ll know this isn’t the case.
