AutoGator Auto Dismantling

Called the parts depart and right off the back. Attitude. You know what why the hell would I want to do business with you? Don’t like your job? Go find another one.

I called the parts sales department to find out about a part strut for a Jaguar XKR these have adaptive shocks. I wanted them to check the resistance across the two pins i. e it should measure around 7.6 ohms I also wanted to know if the shock had any leaks (Its common for these elec shocks to be damaged and if so ignition warning light come on)
I aslo emailed them with question re this part and still have had no response.
The sales guy refused to test the shock or tell me the condition of the shock or even send a picture. Poor customer service I would not buy parts from here unless you can go there in person.

I found the part I needed online. It was a tail light assembly listed as having «light scratches». I was worried about the condition but it was a good price. It was only $ 20 to ship overnight within California. I had the part less than 24 hours later and I thought the condition was very good, the scratches are almost impossible to see I would never have noticed them if it had not been in the listing. Guy selling cars is very rude. The prices are very high. He will not let you even look at a car unless you show him cash.

This place rocks! I help maintain a variety of vehicles for work and family and well, random stuff gets broken or lost and it usually falls to me to get the part quickly and cost effectively. As the saying goes tho, poop rolls down hill so I call the guys at Autogator. They get me what I need and if they can’t, they help me find it. Jay and Ben are the parts guys that help me the most and given they still answer the phone when I call, knowing there’s a boat load of questions coming, that makes them a-​ok in my book. Give em a shot!

If these are the same guys from Rio Linda back in the day, you can’t find more honest reliable guys who stand by their word. If it’s the same guys they helped me and my friends build many ZXs and the price was always right.

I was a little hesitant about the idea of selling a car to an auto dismantling yard but AutoGator put all my fears to rest!
I used AutoGator based off of the positive reviews on Unilocal (and the not-​so-​positive reviews of others). It didn’t hurt that they also quoted me the most money for a non running car!
The quote process was great, they have a web-​based system that allows you to upload pictures, exchange information with a representative, and set up the pickup.
Dan was extremely helpful and courteous and the process was super easy.
The tow truck driver showed up with a check and took the car away with no problems.
I would definitely recommend AutoGator to others and already have!

They sold me a wrong part on a 2003 Sequoia. They must have pulled a brake booster on a different year and didn’t realize it had dissimilar connections. Their customer service is good though.

I dont want this to reflect upon AutoGator for I found them to be extremely kind and helpful through a very difficult time having to sell my car! After having my car picked up, I encountered a problem with the towing company itself, specifically the dtiver who was totally unprofessional. I decided to call the owner Don and talk to him about this problem, for I didnt want this to happen to anyone else. Don could not have been more professional, kind and so willing to address this situation which I know he was extrememly uncomfortable that one of his customers was treated this way. We talked for awhile, and I felt assured that my concerns would be addressed! DO NOT HESITATE TO GIVE HIM YOUR BUSINESS!
I WILL DEFINITELY recommend him to friends and family for their needs should it arise, and if down the road, I need anything I WILL DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN!

Purchased a reliable vehicle within a very limited budget. Their website is very user friendly and up to date daily. Customer service is superb. They take the headache out of buying vehicles. Definitely recommend to everyone. Plenty of mechanic specials and fixer upper projects. Must check out!

This place is awesome.
The people who work here are straight forward, polite and too the point. How business should always be done. They are also extremely reasonable with their prices.
Bought a used transmission from them. I ordered it over the phone and they held it for me for 24 hours without taking any payment. I drove over the next day, paid, they had already removed and cleaned the part for me, and all I had to do was help push it off a fork lift into the back of my car. Easy as pie.
They also gave me a 3 month warranty and so far (after installing the new transmission) my nissan is purring like a kitten and driving better than ever.

Bought a straight car with intentions on working on it to restore to original quality. Service was awesome. Guys helping with the car are very friendly, but didn’t know much about the vehicle. Only reason not 5 stars is because it said bypassed heater core and will need a part to stop coolant leak. Well it needed aaaallllooottttt more than just a hose to stop coolant leak, 38hrs work/​$ 600 later in misc. parts and counting just to get it to run and idle. It is my project so cant complain much. Great place to buy a donor car or a rebuild project vehicle for experienced, motivated person.
NOW the tow driver OLEG is the best dude everrrrrrrr!!! You ever need a tow his number is 916−257−3330, only accepts cash but shouldn’t be a problem, price matched 3 other tow trucks and they wanted $ 100 from Roseville to N. highlands, Oleg= $ 40 BAM!!!

I bought a used 2005 Toyota Rav4 last year and there have been a few hiccups. I broke my drivers side sun visor somehow within the past few months. I was able to find a replacement through AutoGator within 3 days! It was a great price and they helped me ASAP. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!

I was referred to Autogator from another auto parts recycler who did not carry «car» parts. I only wanted what I am sure was an insignificant part in the daily life of Autogator, but the referring company said Autogator was good… and was he right on! I needed a trunk latch for my 2003 Ford Focus. They didn’t shine me on! They found a bad hood and removed it for me and the price was reasonable. Excellent service and value at Autogator Auto Dismantling in Roseville, CA!

They seem like a reputable company, but my experience was very bad. I emailed them for a quote on a car I needed to get rid of. They made an offer and I accepted it and they set up a towing company to pick up the car between 8am and 12pm on the following Saturday. I wasn’t crazy about the four hour window, but it is what is. So I get up early Saturday morning and wait. And wait, and wait and wait. Around 1pm I give up and leave the house. No one shows or calls and half my Saturday is a complete waste.
Come Monday morning I call AutoGator and the person I speak with is very courteous and apologetic and says he’ll look into it and explains that they deal with 3^rd party contractors for their towing. Guess what AutoGator, who you use as a third party contractor is YOUR responsibility and reflects upon your company!
A few minutes later someone calls me and says a mistake was made and the towing company does not pick up on Saturdays and apologizes. I tell him I appreciate his apology but it won’t get me back my Saturday and I’m going to get someone else to pick up the car.
A few minutes after that, the towing company, Insurance Auto Auctions in Fremont calls and leaves a message, «Um…I believe the driver called you a couple of times and you didn’t answer so he didn’t drive out there.» I call back and have her verify they had my correct number. They did. So, obviously someone is lying. I had no messages and no missed calls showing on my phone. What is it?
To make a long story short, I wasted half of my Saturday waiting for some lying, tow truck driver to never show up and then wasted time this morning being bullshitted. I will be contacting another company to pick up my car. I’m not wasting any more time on this company.

Although the cars are salvaged, I felt better about going there than to a clean title, used car dealership. They told me everything that they knew was wrong with the cars I was checking out.
All of the men there were nice and helpful. When searching for a head light cluster, I was told that they did not have one there for me, but they referred me to two other dismantling places in Rancho. I was given the name of the places with their phone numbers on a sticky note. I like it!
I have had to take care of some body damage with the car and have had to take care of regular maintenance issues, but nothing out of the norm. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and don’t feel I have been cheated one bit.
I originally opted for AutoGator because I have been low on cash, but I’ll probably check them out for my next vehicle purchase also.
