Taqueria Taco Palenque

Omg! These were amazing! My boyfriend and I grew up eating puffy tacos in San Antonio and these were just as good if not better! Also the salsa was amazing!!! Come here for good authentic Mexican! Also fajita steak soft tacos are great too!

Very authentic looking place when you walk in. Wait staff is courteous, they won’t speak much English to you, but that’s not an issue. There were definitely no communication barriers. Took a little longer than I expected to get my food, but it wasn’t outrageous.
I ordered migas. It’s my go to at any new Mexican place. I had corn tortillas with it and was a bit let down when they weren’t home made. The plate was mostly chips, which wasn’t appealing. I would have liked more eggs.
I know it sounds like I’m downplaying the place but giving it a 4 star review. But you have to try it to understand.
The amount of flavor packed into every bite is fantastic. Far outweighed any of the bad. I will definitely be back, but I’ll try something other than the migas next time. I’ll update then!

Very tasty food. The Huevos Rancheros were tasty. The Migas were good but maybe if they topped it with some breakfast salsa they’d be even better. Their salsa has a little kick to it which is great if you like that.
They have regular/​American coke and Mexican coke, so make sure you ask for the one you really want.

Came back and had their shrimp tacos and they rocked. My wife gets them almost everytime and I think now I might have to get my own order again. Keep up the good work.

This place not only has excellent service but their food is amazing as well! I strongly recommend you try the puffy tacos, tortilla soup, and nachos palenque! You will not be disappointed!

If you’ve read my posts, you probably have gleaned what a breakfast taco fanatic I am. That being said, these are some of the best damn breakfast tacos I’ve had in a long, long time. Get refried beans on them, you won’t regret it.

Parking on gravel. The restauraunt looks like a house inside. Ok service. Good menudo. Soft tacos were soggy. There are better places to try

You need to try this place just for the PUFFY TACOS. I used to get them all the time in San Antonio, and haven’t been able to find them since. Try one with beef and one with chicken… as long as the cook doesn’t overcook them. they are excellent. haven’t tried anything else on the menu. cant get past the Puffy Tacos
