Shipley’s brings back a lot of memories growing up in Texas. I remember my dad would pick up glazed donuts from here on Saturdays and it was something I would look forward to eating while I watched my cartoons.
Fast forward 20 years and my parents have downsized and moved to Richmond. I now live in Singapore where donuts aren’t that big, so we stopped by here for old time’s sake.
This Shipley’s is pretty straightforward. I stuck with my order of the glazed donuts; though it was tempting to get an extra order of donut holes.
Coffee was okay, nothing to shout about. Service was good, cashiers were patient and food didn’t take too long to get. Interior is a little old school, but clean. On a weekday morning, there was still a small line, so locals definitely stop by here.
As this is a huge chain, it’s not a place to go out of the way for, but definitely a convenient spot for the folks out in Richmond/​Rosenberg.
