Gillman Nissan of Rosenberg

I have taken all three of my Altimas in to Gillman Nissan of Rosenberg for service for over ten years. I refuse to go anywhere else because Steven and Adam are my heroes. They are not only friendly and courteous, but they are honest with me and knowledgeable. I appreciate that they explain what my car needs in terms I can understand, but more importantly, they are proactive in find possible problems that could cause trouble for me in the future. I leave the service department feeling secure about driving in Houston safely. They are also adept at getting me in and out of the waiting room quickly.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went in to see about purchasing a used vehicle with this company AGAINST better judgement. As soon as we pulled up, the salesmen were on us like some hound dogs. A man named Kumar followed me around and I asked him to just give me some time to think. There were 4 other salesmen who stared at me the entire time (which felt awkward). My dream car is the 2016 Maxima, but due to certain circumstances I’m not able to get this vehicle. I told Kumar my situation and he said that he could help me. I asked him if I could speak to a finance manager before I do anything else to explain my situation to him. A finance manager named Jon came to speak with me and I instantly remembered him from a previous time. I begin to explain my situation and he instantly said, «YES! Yes… this is what I do. I can help you.» I let them know that I had $ 4000 down to put on the vehicle. I also let him know that I didn’t want my credit to be ran too many times. He assured me that there would be no problem. After about a 40 minute wait, Kumar comes back with 3 figures. 1 with 5000 down, the 2^nd with 6000 down, and the 3^rd with 7000 down. I told him exactly what I had down. He then reassures me that everything was ok. We wait another 30 minutes to an hour and Jon comes back to tell me that they couldn’t help me. He then proceeds to ask me if I needed a vehicle at the moment. He stated that if I gave him 6 to 8 months, he could help me. I told him if I didn’t need a vehicle that I wouldn’t be there. I instantly reminded him of his self assurance and he says, «I wish I could help!» These people lie to get you to come in, run your credit, and then tell you that they can’t help. He (Jon) also lied to me about 2 companies not approving me when the companies actually did. Fortunately, I was able to go back to Autonation Nissan and make a deal with them. I am now the owner of a new, sporty Nissan Sentra. NO COSIGNER! Autonation worked their tales off to get me an approval. Gillman is a scam and a trip. They don’t care about their customers at all.

Now, this review is only related to the purchasing process. I came in on the end of the month in August, needing a vehicle. Last minute unexpectedly. I worked with an Indian younger sales guy who was great. He greeted us, asked what we were looking for and showed us only vehicles that had the features we said were important. We also traded in a vehicle. So while we were looking at cars, my old car was being evaluated for a trade in price. We test drove the Nissan Pathfinder, and really liked it. They gave us a great price for our trade, and a good price on the vehicle. I was ready to just buy it and call it a day, but the angel of reality said, you cant buy at the first place you go to. Nissan was our first stop. I was in the market for a mid size suv with a 3^rd row. while we were deciding to buy the Sales Manager came out, and asked quite sincerely if he could earn our business and offered an additional 1k. I was even more tempted to say yes, but it was lunch time and though let me think about it. I mean I didn’t wake up planning on buying a new car, maybe I needed to see other dealerships and models. Long story short, I went to Gillman HOnda after lunch next door (review on that horridly ran dealership is coming) and while sitting there called the sales guy and said, yup, I want to buy the pathfinder I test drove.
I came back, and they still gave me the additional 1k. This was a great process, and I hope when the car needs service the standards there are the same. If not you can be sure I’ll update my review. For now if you are in the market, this dealership is worth the drive.

We bought a Murano at Gillman Nissan of Rosenberg yesterday and were impressed with the dealership. The staff, from the sales representative (Hassan) to the general manager demonstrated high level professionalism. The car shopping process is smooth, from test drive to finalizing the deal. Needless to say we love the car, it is just beautiful. We highly recommend the dealer if you desire a Nissan.

I prefer to get my Z serviced here instead of going to a Nissan dealer ship within the Houston city limits. My wait time is always low and the prices are slightly cheaper… Rosenberg is at the edge of Sugarland/​Richmond. Great staff in my opinion and I always have a coupon.

I bought my 2012 Nissan Murano at this dealership and also have it serviced here. Steven Matthews has been terrific in keeping it well-​maintained and me up-​to-​date with the servicing schedule. We are so well-​pleased with Nissan and its quality, my daughter’s new car was also a Nissan (purchased out-​of-​town, otherwise we would’ve come back to Gillman.)

I seldom write reviews about business and companies on Unilocal,but when I do, it’s really a good experience I had with that business/​company. In short, I have a pleasant time to work with the Sale Consultant, Ms. Joana, Sale Manager, Mr. Hilton Tran, and Finance Manager, Mr. Chuck Shelby. To be honest, I’ve been through 8 dealerships to shop for my new mid-​size sedan, and Gillman Nissan, specifically Joana, gave me the best experience. When I call them to check out if my TrueCar selected car is still in their stock, they do walk out the lots and check to see if the car is still available (not so many dealerships do that nowsaday-​they want to lure you into their place no matter what it costs).
I was greeted by Joana and Hilton, and after that Joana gave me the tour around the car (which they brought in front of their office in advance to my arrival) and showed me all features that car had. She is also willing to let me try all Safety features, quick acceleration, quick stops, going bumpy road and highway during my test drive. And that gave me a good picture of how the car performed. The first two cars that we tested had some rattling noise (they are brand new, so we were really confused and did not know the real reason). Joana went extra miles to find me the similar cars with similar colors, and we worked all steps of the test drive again and again. For those characteristics from her, I could not find them in other salespeople in other dealerships.
I will not talk about price, and how we did the negotiation (since I do respect their business). In short, I had a good deal and pleasant time when working with Joana and Hilton on the final drive-​out price. For Finance Manager– Chuck Shelby, he’s friendly and willing to explain to me every numbers, scenarios that I asked (and since I’m an Asian, I had so many questions with math that I may even consider myself a picky customer, haha). He also got me the best APR and drove me through the paperwork process in a smooth speed (just like Nissan’s CVT transmission). In 1 hour, we finished everything and I got the keys in my hand.
Hilton and Joana also made sure that my car is well-​detailed and all specs work properly (I ask Hilton in advance, and he made the Service guys perform Wheel Alignments, Nitro fill 4 tires, wash and detail, and full gas tank before I arrived to sign paperworks). Last but not least, Joana was happy to go over the car with me again and make sure I drive out with all knowledge about the car and have everything set up and work.
I do say that I respect and have good manner when working with them, and they treat me back the same way. Therefore, when some people complain this dealership (or other business in Unilocal that you may see), you may need to check out their profiles to see if they are really good-​manner people or they just being so negative at everything. I love to have business with Gillman Nissan, especially Joana-​Hilton-​Chuck. In couple weeks, I will update my paperwork, license plate process that being done by Gillman Nissan.

The service department is just terrible. On July 16^th, 2014, I reported a damaged part on one door. Steven Mathews told me that warranty would cover it but the part had to be ordered because it wasn’t in stock. He also told me the would call me when the part arrives. Almost a year later I am still waiting for that call. I have been at the dealer several times during this period to ask about the part and have always received the same answer: «it hasn’t arrived yet». I received a notification by mail that the part was ordered, so I cannot believe it takes a year for this part to be built or shipped.
In other occasion I had an appointment for the regular maintenance service. When I arrived system was down, waited an hour and reschedule for the next day. The next day when I arrived system was still down. I reschedule to the next day and Mr. Mathews Told me he would call me if problem persisted. I did’t received the call, so I went to the dealer. System was still down.

I signed up for truecar website to find a yellow juke. A person named Meka called me right away to informed me that they have a juke. I asked do you have a yellow juke and she said yes. This was around 9:40am she even texted me what time am I going to the dealership to see the yellow juke I said after lunch. When I get to the location around 1pm I saw Meka and she introduced me to another car dealer. He told me they don’t have a yellow juke and they just realized that they sold it 2 days ago. I said I came here to see the yellow juke and why didn’t you let me know I drove almost an hr to get to this dealership. Meca didn’t even apologized at all and never see her face. Horrible service. They don’t even care for customers time and effort. If you are inquiring for a car do your job and not just rely on the computer system. Because time is precious for other people. Have some consideration and respect. Hopefully this dealership will train their people properly and not just sit in their desk. Go check the lot if that car is available and not call the customer just because its a job. Do your job properly.

First off, let me say the sales and finance experience was probably worth four stars.
Zeb the sales guy was very nice, though his i’m-your-best-pal act got a little old after a while. They lay that bit on pretty thick and a couple times I looked at my wife and we shared a laugh about how overly buddy-​buddy he was being. Whatever, it’s all part of the sales game.
Chuck the finance guy was great and very personable. He was as expedient as he could be and got us a decent, not great, interest rate. Proof that you’re always best going to your own bank and bringing in a check, if you have the means.
As far as price, it was fine. I don’t think I got a great deal but I didn’t get ripped off, and value is perceived so I paid what I felt the car was worth.
It was after we left that Gillman Nissan lost three stars.
First, I kept calling BMW Financial Services (where our old car was financed) as we hadn’t heard anything about it being paid off by Gillman. BMW said it never received a check, so I called Gillman to find out if a check had been sent. For four days I was told they were looking into it. Finally, I called the general manager to voice my complaints.
He put me on hold, called his office manager, who told him the payoff had been sent to BMW. He relayed the information to me but couldn’t understand why I was upset. I told him it was because in four calls I couldn’t accomplish what took him less than five minutes, and that a customer shouldn’t have to call so many times to get an answer to such a simple question.
He told me it’s «not fair» that I am considering not doing business with Gillman in the future over such a minor issue. He completely lacked any empathy and told me more than once that I was overreacting. Turns out, Gillman had put the wrong account number on the check it sent to BMW, so the money was just out there, floating around. I had to personally take care of that with BMW to avoid added interest charges beyond the 10-​day payoff.
Finally, it’s been five weeks since I bought my car and I still don’t have plates. I was told today that the title clerk’s office at Gillman had messed up some paperwork, which is why it’s taken so long. I was assured the paperwork will be fixed by Monday (it’s Thursday) and that the plates should be out to me by the end of next week.
I won’t hold my breath.
PS. Zeb still hasn’t sent me the covers where the prior owner had installed two switches (for lord knows what) on the center console that he said he’d send along. I will go to the local Subaru dealership and get them myself as waiting on anything from Gillman is an exercise in futility.

Worst f**king place I ever been to this year. Want to talk about the grosses low down people you could eve r meet. My story short n simple– I call this dealership about a car they had an ad for on
(round 11a-​12p) they ad was for 9,991 but when I called they told me it was really at 11,998 but that they would sell it to me at the ads price. I make an appointment as they advised. I had get a ride from work to friends who let me borrow his car just to drive 45mins to these low life’s. When. I arrived I tell the receptionist who I am and who I’m here to see (instantly three random stairs from other salesman face my way) my sales lady makes a joke about my car being sold 10mins before I pulled up (pause). I laugh and she laugh and follows with im serious. And they proceeds to ask me all these questions to find a comparable model. Lady’s and gents a Ford Fusion is a sedan. A Chevy spark and Nissan Cube are not comparable and every time she kept «making revisions «to my choices she kept saying the same sh$&. Simply these people are trash Whether you have money or not if you want to be treated with respect I wouldn’t go there. They had a customer service representative contact me asking «if» something went wrong like they couldn’t ask the sales lady who saw me walk out upset.

Anson and Hilton are fantastic. Love my new car! They got as much done as possible before I arrived so that I could basically sign and drive. They had my pretty new, loaded Rogue waiting for me. Thanks, guys!

Had an amazing experience when I went to trade in my car last weekend. The entire staff was beyond friendly and patient. Mr. James was awesome took the time to help me find a car that I liked and didn’t just try to force an option on me, which I have had happen at other dealerships. I was completely at ease with choosing a car and then felt a relaxed atmosphere when it came time to talk numbers. In past experiences it has been such a stressful process but here at Gillman they were very transparent with the negotiation and I didn’t feel pressured to settle on a deal. Completely stress-​free negotiating process, and Chuck in the Finance office was so friendly and personable that I didn’t feel like just a number or a stack of cash. I felt like they really did value my business and would highly recommend them! Great customer service!

Best Customer Service I have experienced ever! Marc, Omar and Chuck were amazing and worked with my husband and I. I highly recommend coming here to purchase a new vehicle. We will definitely be back when we’re ready to purchase another vehicle. 5+ Stars!!!

The customer service here is absolutely horrible. When I brought my car in for a courtesy car wash (which I received because they forgot give me the key for my wheel locks) I was told it will taken to be washed. I proceeded to wait for over an hour and when I checked the status of the car with the salesman I was told it was not even taken to the car wash area. I understand it was a courtesy car wash but even then it is still ridiculous to have me waiting several hours for a car wash.

Great experience, got me worked in for an oil change. Will definitely return.

I had a great experience here, courtesy of the salesmen James Isbell and Hassan Momin. I’ve shopped around at 4 dealerships for the previous 3 weeks and finally went into Gillman Nissan late one afternoon with the lowest price I could find for a 2014 Altima 2.5 SV. James walked us around the lot to find the right car, offered our price to the manager (Jim Maxwell) without hesitation and we worked out a deal with almost zero fuss. James is the ideal salesman, a kind gentlemen who had none of the usual pushiness I found at other dealerships that were trying to force a sale. It’s obvious that he genuinely wants to help customers. We returned to finish the paperwork and Hassan went through every detail in a polite and thorough manner. We had no problem at all making our purchase here, and I’d happily return if I ever need a Nissan again.

I am sol glad that Gillman Nissan has plucked out all those bad seeds and put some new faces and new processes in place. I had a great time at Gillman Nissan and will continue to service my vehicle and purchase a vehicle from them. Marc Wagnor the GM was a super nice guy and was more than just helpful, he was kind. Way to go Gillman!

This was our final stop after a crazy week at several dealers in the Katy/​Sugar Land area, and we knew what we wanted and how much we wanted to pay. At first, Hassan seemed to think he could convince us to pay more for the vehicle we wanted but once he realized we were not going to budge, he went above and beyond to get the deal done. We ended up with exactly what we asked for, at the price we were willing to pay, and could not be happier. This is our 6^th time buying a car and it was the easiest, least painful transaction yet.

Who doesn’t love getting a new car??? But how many horror stories have you heard about, or personally been involved in while going through the car buying process? I do have my own horror stories from previous car purchases, but my faith has been completely restored and the bar has been significantly raised for what a car shopping and purchasing experience should be – and it’s all thanks to the INCREDIBLE team out at Gillman Nissan in Rosenberg!
I drove off in my beautiful new Maxima yesterday feeling like an absolute RockStar, and I’m still smiling — NO buyer’s remorse only Buyer’s Rejoice! Yes, I know how cheesy this sounds, LOL, but this is seriously how I am feeling.
David Ross is by far, above and beyond, the BEST car salesman I have EVER worked with! I first spoke with him via telephone to explain what I was looking for, and what my expectations were, and this is where I typically hold my breath and get ready for the onset of haggling and headaches that are sure to come before we settle and finalize the purchase. This was not to be the case, because from our first conversation I knew I was in great hands and that I was going to be well taken care of – I was not disappointed!
I had spoken with several dealerships, and not one of them treated me nearly as well as Gillman. David and his team truly went to work for me to put me in the right car, with the best financing — and they took all the pain away that I have experienced with prior car purchases. David Ross genuinely cares about what he’s doing, and his clients. I also would like to thank Mark Wagoner, their new General Manager and John Decman, their Business Manager, as they all worked tirelessly to ensure I was taken care of, beyond satisfied, and left with a great deal and a wonderful experience. A car is a major purchase and one you are going to be living with and paying for for a long time — you should have high expectations from the dealership who wins your business. Gillman without a doubt earned my trust and business.
I’m also in sales, so I pay very close attention to service when I’m purchasing something big or small or even just dining out, and when I receive EXCEPTIONAL service I want to let others know. I will be a loyal customer from this point forward, and my Maxima will be going exclusively to Gillman for all of its care and maintenance.
