First went when Bull Creek opened a few years ago. Someone had dropped the salt can in the breading of the chicken fried steak and gravy, never went back. Now years later I am seeing all these good reviews so I decided to go back for another try. Ordered a burger«medium» when they asked how I would like it cooked, and of course it comes out well done and dry. My wife ordered the«side plate» and it appeared to be OK. So last night, let’s go again. We both ordered the chicken fried steak that comes wit a salad and a side. Her salad with ranch comes out with virtually no dressing, my salad with blue cheese comes out with ample dressing, but the dressing has no taste. They obviously make their own dressings, which is commendable, however the zero quality blue cheese they purchase has no taste. Chicken fried steaks come out and hers looks very big, and while the breading/batter on it is thick, it does actually have some meat underneath. My chicken fried steak comes out about 8 inches in diameter(very big) but has less than 4 ounces of meat within the breading. The meat is paper thin and 4 inches in diameter. When I was done, I had a loaf of bread stacked on my plate after picking through it trying to find some meat. When our waiter saw it, he knew what was going on and didn’t dare to ask, «how is everything ?» So very aggravating. Suppose I will wait another few years to try Bull Creek again, or not.

Loved this place! Service and food is excellent! Steaks are so good & juicy! Servings are huge! A little on the high price for dinner but lunch prices are great!

We came at an odd time so we had the place to ourselves. The food and service were both excellent. Everything was homemade. Even the salad croutons were to die for. The portions are very large for a reasonable price. Small appetites may want to consider splitting something. I ordered the chicken fried steak as it is one of their signature dishes. It would have fed three people easily! They have some tempting desserts but we were way too full to try one. Maybe next time as we will definitely be back.

Everytime I come into Rosenberg I have to stop here. The food is so damn good. Everything and I mean Everything I have tried here has always been good. They at times do take a while with bringing out your food and sometimes the service is mediocre at best. However, the food is so good it still gets 5 stars.

Food is good but the service it hit or miss… typically a miss! I would love to go there more often but I cannot compel myself to waste time for poor service. When we go to a restaurant with a toddler… one hopes to get your dining experience in before a kid goes stir crazy. 2 times now I have almost walked out because the large amount of time that goes by before a drink order can even be taken! But…if you can get past them noticing your there and that you may get your food within a hour we suggest ordering… fried pickles, onion rings, nachos, chicken fried steak with loaded mash potatoes or a burger(just never tell them to cook it medium or medium rare) they cook everything well done every time!

We ordered rolls and we were charged for them… who does that. We didn’t even get small plates to put our rolls on. My husband ordered chicken fried steak… the batter was so thick… n hardly no meat. it was so tough. We just weren’t impressed. We had Dr. Pepper n the bar tender waitress brings us Coke as the refill. Never asked once how is everything. Bcuz she was too busy showing her photos from Facebook to her favorite guests.

It’s time for another review, I’m a regular and the staff ask about our returns. I’m so happy it’s still open from its opening, this is one business that deserves to be noticed. The food is still good, the ribeye pork is amazing, Mac & Chez is the best I ever had. I highly recommend eating here.

Great option in the area for families with kids. Yummy food(even though I sent my bacon covered baked potato back and got one in return that still had bits of bacon in it. I’m a vegetarian. Ick) awesome skin-on steak fries, my FIL loved his ribeye steak and my husband loved his burger & sweet potato fries. Peach cobbler was DELISH and cinnamon laden. They accommodated our table of 6 adults, 3 kids and my son’s service dog without any trouble and we had great service. :) we’ll be back.

Great service!!! Comfort food at its finest. A bit far but still worth the drive. The parking lot is in disarray but you can get lucky to find a spot. They have a happy hour and it is sectioned off. Their chicken fried steak, side dishes, dessert, even soda was all perfect. Again great attitude, smiles, and friendly services. My wife and I are glad to have find this gem and will be back again.

I ordered the catfish. I can’t remember the last time I had such perfect catfish. Not a drop of oil or grease present. The crust was perfectly flaky and seasoned. I was served 2 nice sized pieces. I immediately put one aside to take home so I can prolong my enjoyment. I also had the loaded mash potatoes. I have loaded mash in the past that was over loaded but it was not the case here. Just enough«loadedness» for me. My husband had the ginormous chicken fried steak which he loved.

Great local restaurant. The prices are decent but the lunch prices are great. We live close by and heard about the chicken fried steak… and they were right. It was amazing and definitely was something to talk about. The sides are great. I had their Mac and cheese. Great layout on the inside. Good seating for any size family. Bathrooms were super clean and smelt great! Bonus!

How have I driven passed here so many times, and not stopped?! My husband and I came here because of the great Unilocal reviews, and we will definitely be back. Things to know: ~Armadillo eggs were good as the appetizer, but I felt that they were a bit overcooked. We’ll try the Notcho Fries next time. ~The homemade Italian dressing was a surprising gem. Delicious! ~Ask for your dressing on the side. They drowned both of our salads to where the bottom of the bowl was filled and I didn’t want to even try to eat the last half of my salad. ~The chicken fried steak was HUGE, but very good. It can be split! ~The fried okra and loaded mashed potatoes were delicious as well! ~The onion rings were good and the ranch dipping sauce was yummy. They were a bit too big though. I get the novelty, but I couldn’t find a way to even eat a normal bite without it falling apart. We will be back! I want to try the cheesecake that’s mentioned in the reviews, but they were sold out!

When I’m in town I make a point to dine at Bull Creek Café and Grill. Today I arrived at 12:45 pm. There was no parking, so I parked down the street and walked in the rain. I REALLY wanted some sweet potato fries! I stood at the front, waiting to be seated for about ten minutes, during which time the waitress sat a man who came in after me. When I was acknowledged, I requested a booth. The waitress stated that the men in line behind me would probably want a booth(there was only one available) and sat me at a table. I was offended but sat down anyway. Another ten minutes passed and a waiter sat down a glass of water on the table and said, «here». I left the restaurant. I’m really disappointed in the customer service. I understand that I went at a very busy time, but that is not an excuse for being unprofessional. Although I love the food, the experience was so frustrating, I will likely not be back next time I’m in town. My recommendation is to go early when ample parking and seating is available, otherwise you may get poor service.

I live in Greatwood and was looking for a good home cooking place and ran across this place! What a gem in Rosenberg! Friendly and attentive staff, nice dining room and very reasonably priced meals! I’m glad I found this place! If you’re ever in the mood for a chicken fried steak this is the place to go! Highly recommended!

Plentiful portions, fast friendly service, small but great beer selection and reasonable prices. Rosenburg has another great little joint for some tasty food! Ordered the chicken fried steak($ 12.99) as my friend who brought us there recommended. Holy crap it was huge!(See photos) One good thing I will say is it wasn’t all crust. Sometimes you get one of those«bigger than your car tire» chicken fried steaks and the outer 2 inches is breading. Not here. The steak part was tender… cut with your fork tender. The one not so good thing I would say is the gravy lacked something… it seemed kinda packaged. I would imagine it wasn’t made with meat grease and that was what was lacking. It wasn’t bad but it just needed something. Ask for extra. It doesn’t come with enough. Peel in mashed taters were tasty good. The wife had been wanting a steak. 10 oz ribeye cooked perfectly and with great grilled flavor…$ 20! She got the green beans and they were not canned. They were fresh beans. Yeah! Both meals come with the one side and a house salad. The house salad was a NICE salad. Lettuce, red onion, cucumbers, tomatos. My honey mustard dressing had a surprising extra spice to it — yum — but the wife didn’t care for her Italian dressing. Think of it as one of those shaker dressing bottles that someone didn’t shake and all you get is the herby part. Yeah, that was a lot of Italian spice for the small salad. Very nice basket of soft rolls and butter for the table. We couldn’t get dessert after all that! I took home enough chicken fried steak for lunch the next day. Looking over their menu I saw they had liver and onions. I am not a fan but I do know you don’t find this on menus anywhere anymore. Their app menu was mostly your basic fried bar foods. We passed on those. Kid menu, catfish, prime pork ribeye. The pulled pork tacos sounded intriguing and the desserts sounded good too. Peach cobbler! With Blue Bell! Glad we have a friend out that way we can bother to come visit and take to dinner every so often.
