Doesn’t anyone in this restaurant smile? Our waiter(the owner?) never smiled or acted happy to see us. The other server(young student) never smiled either. It was very odd. Not even a «welcome to Giuseppe’s» or any greeting. The food is mediocre. I ordered a dish with small scallops, mushrooms and artichokes and substituted white sauce. The artichokes were either missing or so small the naked eye couldn’t see them. The white sauce is more grey and overloaded with the same seasoning they put in the olive oil and/or bread. Way too much sauce and it was gluey. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan and liked it. He saved half for his work lunch and found a small piece of plastic wrap in it when he microwaved it at work. Our water glasses were only refilled once. After taking our entrée orders, the owner walked away before we could order beverages. We ordered two desserts to go but the owner came back with one as a dine-in and then blamed it on the young waiter. No wonder he never smiles. We had to finally ask for our check as we were tired of waiting. We have been to the Burnsville location and that has gone downhill in service as well. Our first trip to the Rosemount location and we won’t be back.

Spent my husband’s birthday here with a group of friends. We had reservations and our table was all ready when we arrived. Service: polite, frequent arrivals of bread/oil, refills of drinks, etc. Place was busy. Order taken quickly but food arrival was slow but it was a full house, very busy and we were warned order would take awhile. Food: Appetizer of calamari was AMAZING. Not breaded or fried but rather tender rings of squid in a sauce cooked tender, not chewy. One at our table said«tastes like the sea» Perfect I had the scallop dish which was amazing. Several large seared sea scallops exceeded my expectations. Bread and dipping sauce is the frosting on the cake — we all LOVED it. Wine: selection is nice, not high end but adequate and GREAT price. Atmosphere: smells wonderful, quaint. We love places that are not chains — this fits the bill. Highly recommend. We will return often.

Big servings for the price, bread is delicious and they serve you quickly. The décor is a bit different but it does give it character.

Prior to coming we read many of the reviews & it was unanimous that 5 stars was in order! Had the Cappelinni Pomodora with Chicken. My Daughter had the mostaccioli and and my Son-In-Law had the Giuseppe Special. All three meals were outstanding as was their homemade Sangria & the bread and oil brought to the table! Topped it off with their tiramisu!

We had a 6:30 reservation and didn’t get seated until after 7. The waiter rarely visited our table and seemed bored when he did. My meal came out almost 10 minutes after everyone else’s and the chicken parm was very soupy with minimal amounts of chicken. The pasta was good but there was way too much sauce to really enjoy it. The only redeeming quality about this visit is the bread.

Our experience was horrible. Our food was brought out at different times, and it was way overcooked. I’ve never had such overcooked pasta. We even tried to contact the restaurant to get a refund, and we never got any response. They also charged my son full price for a small plate of noodles and sauce. Not to mention a can of pop was $ 2(would have been nice to know that). We will not be returning.

We made a reservation and then called back to change the time, but apparently the man on the phone did not change the time. So when we arrived we had no table. The greeter made it sound like it was our fault. We seated ourselves at a table. The bread came out promptly. I was not a fan of olive oil with spices. We asked for straws and were brought out unwrapped straws. Very unsanitary! The meals came out fast. The pasta was drowning in sauce. Bland. And soupy. We were glad when our dinner was over.

Cute little place. Friendly staff. Food was mediocre. Bland sauces including the alfredo, red sauce and carbonara. Very«soupy». Bread was very good. Served warm with an oil mixture which was also bland. Probably won’t return for the pasta dishes. Maybe the bread and sangria though :)

Love the bread and dipping oil. The salad with the creamy garlic dressing is fantastic! The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is the restaurant could use a little facelift.

Tonight I had the Shrimp Di Napoli & Greek salad. Not only was my meal delicious, it was reasonably priced and the portions were huge. This place is great. Thanks Adnan. I keep coming back…

This place is one of my family’s favorite Italian places to eat. The staff loves to love on us and remembers us every time, even if it’s been a couple of months between visits. I’m gluten free and they even have pasta for me. My family loves the bread there and every dish we’ve had has been delightful. Tiramisu my family says is yummy, yummy and yummy!

Our party of four visited on a Monday night after my daughters softball game, and the restaurant was not busy whatsoever. There were three people working(two men, and one woman) yet our service was absolutely horrible. We were seated in between two tables of three, and still only were visited by the waitstaff when they dropped off our water(we weren’t offered anything different), dropped off our bread, took our food order, and delivered our food. Not once were we offered refills on our water(2 of 4 glasses were empty), nor were we approached to ask how our food was tasting. I decided to leave early as I couldn’t stand to sit anymore, and followed the waiter from the table behind us to the front area to tell him that my husband was ready for the bill. I considered giving a rating of one star but the food was good, so I won’t hold that against them.

We waited 20 minutes for a table at 8:00 on a Thursday evening, which is fine, as we had been here before and the food was good. After we were seated, the party after us(5 people who had walked in a few moments ago) were immediately seated directly beside us. From that point on, it was all downhill. They waited hand and foot on the other table, and seemed to deliberately ignore us. The other table was halfway through with their meal by the time ours got to the table(at least a 30 minute wait on the food for us — theirs took roughly 5). We ordered regular old pasta — no steak or any special preparations. Also ordered two sodas, which we were charged for but never received. When we politely brought this to the attention of our server, he acted annoyed and gave us cash back(not accounting for the tax) rather than rerunning our credit card. Waited 10 minutes for the check, too. Service was SLOW and RUDE, and made us feel like we were nothing but an inconvenience to them. Very disappointing– looks like we will have to find another Italian restaurant to give our business to.

Not only was the food magnificent, but so was the service. I am for sure going back, only wish I would have discovered it sooner. The prices are great.

Dear Unilocal; If their was any place that had food more devoid of flavor, we’d be hard-pressed to find it. The entire restaurant smells of garlic(and it is a nice smell on an Italian place), the food when it was seasoned was very heavy on pepper and not much else(and our entrees were not seasoned at all). Rather disappointing overall. The prices are quite reasonable, but the staff didn’t seem at all i interested in doing their jobs with one exception, and I’m not sure if he was the chef or not. Also, any soda you may order will be served in a can, and as such they carry both Coke and Pepsi products. We won’t be back again.

Really great food every time I visit! Hot bread and home made spiced olive oil is great. Not a great wine list, but it works. Small place so go early on weekends. Poor décor in this strip mall location but het the food is fresh and fantastic. Best restaurant in Rosemount. Attentive owners who work there every day. I think they have another location as well.

We went here for a birthday dinner with my dad. Very small quaint hole in the wall place. The bread was very good. Kind of bummed they didn’t have a happy hour. Brian and I shared Capalleni with shrimp and my Dad ordered the SAUSAGEDISICILIA. The prices were very fair, especially with how much food you got. The plates are huge we couldn’t even finish it between the two of us. I would say it feeds 3. Though we were amazed at the people around who did indeed finish a whole plate to themselves. My dad’s was also good. The sausage was very spicy. He liked it. I thought it was okay, I liked the meatballs. Overall nice little place that we will defiantly return to when we want to go into a carb coma.(in a good way)

This kills me to write. We went there on a pregnancy craving for spaghetti and meatballs… and bread… and anything else I can manage to shove in my mouth. Adnan is super friendly and I adored him. He showed me pics of his beautiful children after I mentioned I was pregnant, beautiful family and man. After we spoke he brought me out a great salad«for the baby», which I thought was so incredibly sweet. what a kind gesture. Bread is fantastic, I could have ate basket after basket… with or without the oil, it is great. Ok, here is where it all went down hill. I read the reviews and looked at pictures and decided spaghetti looked great! It’s what I was craving and looked delicious! I ordered it, when it came out… it was awful! It was soup. You couldn’t even see any pasta what so ever in it. I took my fork and dug in hoping it was better than it looked, unfortunately that wasn’t the case. It tasted awful, spaghetti was way over done and so much sauce and cheese that was a really unappetizing consistency. Just to make sure I wasn’t being«picky» I made my husband try it 3 times to make sure it wasn’t just me. I don’t know if they had a different chef or something happened? I felt horrible after how absolutely welcoming and sweet Adnan was. I just couldn’t stomach it. I had a waitress take it away because my stomach was so upset with it sitting in front of me. Husband ordered a different dish and wasn’t impressed either. His wasn’t as epic of a failure as mine. We have been here before, and while it wasn’t the most amazing thing we have ever had, it wasn’t this bad :( I think the worst part is that they(restaurant) didn’t acknowledge that there was an issue. The spaghetti was worse than what comes out of a can and tasted like it considerably. As we sat waiting for our check, Adnan was yelling at the waitress in a different language and it just became so incredibly uncomfortable. He would not acknowledge our existence after I asked for it to be taken away, and was horrible to her. Totally turned off from this place. As we walked out he stood by the counter, visually angry and didn’t even look our way or anything. We paid the full bill and even tipped. I would never go back just for the fact it was handled so incredibly bad. What a shame, we love to give local family restaurants business. I would rather go to Olive Garden next time.

Wow! A hidden gem in a small strip mall. Authentic and great Italian food. No reason to ever go anywhere else if you’re out this way. You would swear this was picked up in New York and placed here in Rosemont/Apple Valley. Stop in. You won’t be disappointed if you want«real» Italian food. Went there again yesterday and it was even better. Tried two dishes we hadn’t had before and the spaghetti bolognese was to die for. Nice to see this little place crowded for dinner on a Monday night. The unique bread and oil is enough to make a delish meal itself. I can only laugh at the Hastings locals who think a close chain, or a drive to the Olive Garden in Woodbury, is an Italian meal. They have no clue of what classic/fresh handmade pasta, bread, sauce and meat is. Friends, spend the time to drive the 12 miles from Hastings for a real Italian food treat.
