LOVE this place! The couple that owns it works so hard, and they make great food! Lunch specials are… special! Love that I get get three rolls for under $ 9. The hibachi and yum yum sauce are fabulous! I’m glad we have this in Rosemount!

This is one of my favorite take out places to get food. We have to pick up here at least once am month. I am a big fan of there Fugi Rolls, New York Rolls, and Spicy Crab. The chicken fried rice is amazing! It has such a great taste and the portion sizes are huge. I always like to get there Steak Hibachi Lunch which is such a great deal. You get the streak, fried rice, vegetables, soup and yum yum sauce all for under $ 10. There yum yum sauce is orange still has similar taste as most but is a little on the thin side.

Wide range of rolls, plus nigiri style, appetizers, a few soba dishes, bento boxes, all reasonable to cheap prices, yet fresh and delicious. Our family eats here regularly. Wish they had more tables and chairs! Primarily it is a take out place, not a date destination, because it is a hole in the wall. Smaller menu than Osaka or another full service Japanese cuisine place, but less expensive. When we are jonesing for sushi rolls, seaweed salad and yakisoba, this is our neighborhood joint.

I must have driven by this place a hundred times and never gave it a shot, I regret that now that I have finally tried it. Delicious, fresh, great service! Not a huge fan of the Miso, but the sushi was right up there. I’ll be back. This place is now on my radar, and there to stay.

Best kept secret south of the river! The lunch specials are unreal. 3 rolls for $ 9. Online ordering is quick and simple. The staff here is super friendly. Will continue to get my sushi fix here, sorry Osaka.

This place has great sushi and really great prices, which I think can be hard to find. This place seems to be intended mostly for takeout and to-go orders. My boyfriend and I go here often, as it’s at the top of our list when thinking of where we want to get food to-go. They make the sushi in front of you, so it’s super fresh and tasty. If you live in Rosemount or the surrounding suburbs, this should be on your list of go-to takeout places.

So I left a review claiming I «thought about» 4 stars. Tonight, they blew that idea out of the picture all-together. I had placed an order for takeout around 6ish, to be picked up at 7. I showed up at 7:40 or so. This is important because… THEYOFFEREDTOREMAKEMYORDERFORFREE. This is hugely important– in my last review I spoke about how 1 item didn’t knock my socks off, but their quality and freshness is awesome. The fact they offered to remake my order to ENSURE quality and freshness is– frankly, fucking remarkable. I said no, of course. It’s my own damn fault I was late, the business shouldn’t suffer from my own tardiness. Actually first I said«yeeeeeesssss?». As in «really? I’M late and you’ll remake this order for me?» I ultimately told them«I love this place, and I DON’T want you to waste the money to remake this on my account». Dudes and gals of Unilocal reading this, I ask simply: Does it get any better? My rolls were still wonderful and after nuking our Steak and Shrimp bento boxes they still tasted great. This was a $ 30 takeout order I placed– so there was some quantity to it. Everything was great and the customer service was wonderful. If you live in the Rosemount/Apple Valley/Farmington/Lakeville area and u want to fat out on some sushi/hibachi while watching TV or movies. Don’t fuck around. This is the spot.

My kids and I love the food here. The staff is nice. When they first opened I remember taking my son there to dine in and one guy was yelling at another guy in Japanese. It was really awkward. It hasn’t happened again since. Other than that, we love it!

Love that they deliver. Good sushi that is fairly priced. I had their sushi/sashimi entrée which came with miso soup and a side salad. All of the sushi was fresh, miso soup was just right, and the ginger dressing for the salad was perfect. Highly recommend to anyone in the south suburbs looking for their sushi fix! Delivery is also super fast!

Delicious, well-made sushi. Never have had ill-effects from eating, and it’s always beautifully made. Very, very reasonably priced and they do not cheat you for quantity. The people are friendly enough but it’s an amazing place, especially for being so small.

There is not a lot of seating, and I am aways a little hesitant about strip malls. The staff is friendly and the food is great. Nice surprise.

I think I have been spoiled by Kamis and Osaka because the steak and chicken from the Hibachi here is not that great. I did delivery several times from here and the portion size is ok but not worth the money for the quality of food. Steak is never cooked the way we order it and the chicken is dry. I wish they had Hibachi noodles as an option with the meal. Staff is friendly however and always accommodates us with any requests.

This small«hole-in-the-wall» located in Rosemount opened in a small strip and I was very hesitant to try it. I kept thinking to myself«fast food sushi, that can’t be quality». Boy was I wrong and I am sure glad we gave them a try. This place is serving up some of the finest cuts of sushi throughout the metro. Cut to perfection, always tastes AND smells fresh. They just prepare their rolls perfectly and my favorite is their signature Fuji Roll — Shrimp tempura, salmon topped w. spicy crab salad & chef special sauce. I have rankings of the places that I’ve had sushi at on my personal food blog, Gnaw Blog and if you would like to see that list, just message me. In case you’re wondering, this place is at #2.

One of our favorite places for dinner. The owners seem to know us when we call, and usually remember to recommend our favorites if we forget to order them. My daughter and I love the Passion Roll. Definitely recommend this place… Prices are very reasonable compared to other sushi places(especially those downtown).

CA rolls clearly came from Cub Foods, bento box was not in a box & was bland and microwaved. Miso soup was cool in temp, tasted like nothing, and tuna and unagi… edible, but NOT worth it. The super positive reviews are, I think, ringers. I was hoping for something good in Rosemount, but this place is not good.

I am reviewing this as a take out Japanese Restaurant. This isn’t downtown so I am not rating it against them. That being said, if you don’t need the show, this is the place to go. We eat a lot of sushi! I am ridiculous when it comes to sushi, I want it a couple times a week… if hubby were game we would be having it more. I think I have gone to just about all the sushi places in MSP and while there are some absolutely amazing places up there, they come with an amazing check as well. Who can beat 3 rolls for 8.95 for lunch?!? Bento boxes STUFFED to the brims for less than $ 10? Sign me up! I always order way way way to much because I am «starving», and this is the one place that I don’t go into shock when I see the bill. My husband, son and I all went, stuffed ourselves on sushi and ordered bentos(which remained untouched and had to be boxed to take home) and it was under $ 60! When we go to Hibachi places, $ 60 usually covers JUST the sushi! So much food!!! And the quality is there, which is amazing! I love that great places like this are popping up in «strip mall» locations, over head is cheap and they can keep their prices down while keeping the quality. Rolls are great. I know someone said something about the size of the rolls, I have lived in Japan and the rolls over there aren’t massive Americanized rolls. You should be able to eat a piece of sushi in one bite, without looking like a squirrel with your cheeks puffed out. This is pretty authentic. I think they are perfectly sized, and remember… you aren’t paying $ 10 for a simple roll here like other places. Ok, pregnant lady rant over, GOTRY this place, it is great! Staff is great! I gotta wrap this up so I can devour my sushi now ;).

Got the tuna tataki and loved it. Some friends got bento boxes. They cost about $ 9 each. They were PACKED with delicious looking foods. They both loved it. We ate there. They have 2×4 person tables. So not a lot of seating. But they do takeout! Overall this place rocks!

We were actually one of the first people to eat at this restaurant when it opened, and have been back 3 times since. We have tried a variety of the sushi rolls and also the chicken teriyaki, gyoza and edamame. Overall the food is pretty good. The chicken teriyaki was extremely dry, but had decent flavor. My wife and I both love the sweet potato rolls. The rolls do tend to be a bit on the small side, and they kind of skimp you on wasabi. This place has a few tables for dine in, but is largely intended for take out. If you call to place your order and they tell you 15 – 20 mins, I recommend you show up about 25 – 30 mins later, as they are rather slow. In the 4 times I’ve been there, I don’t think their estimate for my food has been right even once, usually 5 – 10 mins late. They’re very nice people, and have given me free appetizers a couple of times. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that likes sushi. They’re about on par with Kyoto in Eagan, and definitely a step up from the sushi at Thomson Reuters where I work or the stuff at Byerly’s. Just be prepared to wait a bit for your order and order a lil bit more than you might would normally elsewhere.

I was excited for a new sushi place in town was surprised to find out its pretty much takeout only. Prices or so so especially since you aren’t sitting down to eat. I honestly wasn’t impressed and they sure made small rolls with not much meat. I’m going to stick with stopping at Kikugawa DT before getting on the bus and bringing that home.
