Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus

I brought my two kids to see the circus, they are 6 and 3 and would be the only time to see those animals in real life, free parking was great, people were picketing animal rights as you walk in, once you get in the prices for everything are ridiculous, I bought a small box of popcorn for $ 8, the cheapest toy was $ 18. I did buy a coloring book for $ 4. I was in the first couple rows and seeing the animals were a bit sad, you can just tell they are miserable. I am also NOT an animal activist but you can’t help feel bad. Like 5 elephants came out and walked around, they hold each other’s tails with their noses, one of the elephants wouldn’t let the elephant behind him grab his tail so the the trainer stabbed the elephant right up the ass! I felt bad. The performers are good but the clowns suck. Will have to go again prolly one more time in my life for my kids though.

I wanted to like it. But I couldn’t.
Free parking was great! Thank you! It almost justified my spending $ 15 for a snow cone. I kept thinking «well I guess parking was free.» That’s how they get ya!
No matter how many posters you put up about your animals being in great care, I just felt so terrible watching them perform for my entertainment. It didn’t feel right. I am no means an animal activist, I just honestly felt bad. I will compliment your acts that involved various performers. They are incredibly talented.

I will never support a circus. What the circus does to the animals… Elephants in particular… Is tragic. These Elephants aren’t acting for fun they are doing these tricks out of fear. This is not a life for these animals. I hope all circuses get shut down.

The circus was in town and we went to Rosemont on Sunday, November 3^rd. I have to agree with the first review… a C– for sure.
The clowns were not even close to being funny this year, though the two assistants that did the act with the animals did give us some laughs. The ringmaster this year was so boring… I have to admit that I actually fell asleep once for about 20 minutes during the death defying trapeze work…
Now I will go again next year since I want to see what the «Blue» tour can do because this «Red» tour wasn’t very good. I did enjoy the cats though… then again the Tigers I usually enjoy!
