RLA POS Computer

We purchased RLA POS to use in our café it is not a Chinese food restaurant but the software is very flexible. We are using version 2.010 I have seen the software used at a local chinese restaurant and they have theirs set for chinese, and they also have two systems networked. Here is where the software lacks, there are a few bugs, some design issues, and no documentation to speak of. One specific bug is related to the general report, certain transactions made just before viewing the general report will not be added in, so you have to exit the general report and the view it again to make sure you have all the transactions included with the report, there are also many misspelled words that cannot edit like American in American express is missing the letter c A design problem is that there is no ability to adjust the times. used to determine morning, afternoon, or evening time slots. Another design flaw is that there is no direct integration with a credit card machine. Also there is no way to separate gift card sales from credit card sales in a report which I need to properly track gift cards. The biggest problem by far is the lack of documentation, once you buy the package which is a very good price and worth it, you get a year of telephone support and then you can buy extra support by the year after that. But there are no instructions on how to use the software, no definition of codes or information of how to access the database so you can write your own reports. I can t compare it to any other POS systems because I have not tried one, but at ¹⁄₈^th the price of most other systems it is definitely worth it.
