Its good food. We had very bad service. They attended the other tables well but just not ours which i found to be disturbed by since we were Mexicans. We couldnt even get a simple 3 forks and 2 lemonades. Second-guessing on coming here ever again.

Foods great but its your typical Asian diner so don’t expect much from service. Also a bit of a language barrier. Authentic though!

Date of meal: 01/23/2016 Good-sized portion for the Phở Dac Biet. Lots of meat! I like the food, and I like the prices! Parking is a problem, so try parking on the street along San Gabriel Blvd.

DONOTGOHERE!!! I repeat do not go here! I used to come here to get my take out on nights I don’t want to cook and this place has disappointed me twice! The first time, my husband found a long strand of hair in his soup! I didn’t want to make a scene to I called one of the servers over to my table and explained what happened. Tonight, I got my usual take out and there were two pieces of hair in my soup!!! I was outraged. I called the restaurant to give them a piece of my mind and they barely understood what I was saying. Granted I’m not complaining about their language barriers but finding hair in my soup is not acceptable.

The file mignon phở was the best i have yet to have. I highly recommend eating here, even if you need to travel some miles. The best comes on the side, and you drop it into the hot soup. several minutes later and you are eating the most tender and sumptuous meat ever. The soup flavor has my mouth watering at the thought. I will definitely return for more.

One of the best Phở restaurants out here in the SGV The restaurant does get busy during lunch time on weekends, but it’s worth it. My go to is the Rare beef and beef brisket @ this place. Their beef is melt in your mouth tender(Just writing this makes me want some right now!) Broth has plenty of flavor and they don’t skimp out on giving you extra white onions on the side.(Weekends they also give you iced tea) Service could be better, but i’m here for the reasonably priced, delicious phở

I’ll make this review quick: 1) Phở — average 2) Restaurant condition — below average 3) Waitress who took our order — baddddd day The phở didn’t blow me away, and had a particularly salty taste as indicated by the faces of pretty much everyone sitting around my table(strangers, my group, and even the face of the staff as they set it in front of us). Cali had its first El Nino and rain in, what, a hundred years now? There were dripping leaks from the ceiling, no caution signs, just a rag to indicate«do not step here.» The waitress. not happy, not helpful, not her day. We all have them, so I’ll take it easy on her. Overall review, 2.5 stars, but I rounded up.

The set meals are good so is the sour soup. Phở is pretty terrible. I don’t usually rate service at Asian places, but the servers are going around yelling at patrons. That’s a first even for someone like me who never minds service.

I tried this place because the name intrigued me. Who doesn’t like Filet? Phở Filet 2 is a busy place! I’ve been here several times now, once for a late lunch at 2PM, and once at a noon. Even at 2PM, the place was half full. The have smaller tables for 4, and lots of communal tables. If you get there at a busy time, you could get stuck at a communal table. The one big difference between San Gabriel Valley Vietnamese places and Little Saigon places is that I can understand them in the San Gabriel Valley as I heard some Cantonese. Service is still the same though as they want you to sit down, eat and get out. One of the reasons why they are so busy is that their phở is cheap. It was around $ 6 for a regular bowl, and $ 7.50 for a large bowl. They do give a pretty generous portion of meat with each bowl. Their«Filet» looks like mystery meat to me. I prefer my Filet Mignon as a steak, cooked rare. Like at all other phở places they had other tasty mystery meats in their phở as well. The broth seemed like typical msg phở broth to me. It was a decent and cheap bowl of phở. Phở Filet is an A-OK type of place. They are kind of busy when you get there at normal lunch hours. The cheap price makes their phở that much better. 3.5 stars!

I love this place. I’ve had their Phở and Vermicelli dishes and they were both delicious. Wait times for seating can vary based on what time you, I’ve waited as long as 30 minutes. Most people would think, «how can you mess up phở?» Believe me you can, this place knocks it out the park.

Hi, My name is Tina, and I’m a Phở addict. This place is so legit I don’t even know where to begin! I used to order the Phở Tai here. but then I tried their #14 Filet Mignon Phở and oh my sweet lawwwwddd! It’s so good. Don’t expect to get customer service here, but their food makes it worthwhile.

Not my favorite phở place but it’s adequate. Customer service is horrible here. No one smiles and no one pays attention to you. They also forgot one of our orders yesterday. The broth is flavorful and they give you plenty of noodles and meat. That’s a pretty good upside. The prices are also quite reasonable, but I just can’t get over the customer service. I came here last night with my parents and boyfriend because my dad was craving phở. It’s close to home and the food isn’t terrible. We also got egg rolls and pork spring rolls. I loved the egg rolls. They were nice and hot when they came out but I wasn’t a fan of the spring rolls. It didn’t come with the usual sauce that comes with nem nuong cuong. I was quite disappointed. Not a bad place if you’re looking for phở, but plenty of phở places everywhere in Rosemead.

I’m seeing a lot of bad reviews for customer service, but everything seemed fine when I went lol. I went on a Monday during lunch so it wasn’t as busy so maybe service is better then? However, the only time we needed some service was when I asked for the onions in vinegar, which came out pretty quickly, and when we asked for the bill. My friends and I all got the #14 which is the filet mignon phở. I got the small portion for $ 7 which was a decent size for lunch. I thought it was pretty good, but I did wish my phở came out hotter. I’m a fan of the boiling hot soups! The day I went it was pretty nice weather outside, but it was a little too warm in the restaurant. Kind of stuffy actually. First time here and will probably go back. We’ll see if customer service changes on a busier day.

Okay where do I even begin? do I start off by saying how dirty it is in here? Or how the staff does not pay attention & likes to mess around in the back? Or the fact that my mom found a piece of plastic in her phở? The broth has a weird taste to it. Not bad but not what I’m use to. The portion is pretty good. I got a large phở tai chin. I like that they give you the drinks in togo cups. When I told them about the plastic in my moms bowl, the server said«oh what the fuck!» & proceeded to tell someone else. They gave us a $ 1 discount. Lol. Like no «sorry» or anything. Thank god She didn’t choke on the plastic. I watched her pull that shit out of her mouth in horror. The bathroom had no paper. No toilet paper, no hand towels — nothing. What am I suppose to wipe with? HA! All bad. Never coming back.

I was visiting family and they suggested this restaurant for lunch. We had a party of 9 and they said the wait time would be around 20 minutes, but we were seated before that. I ordered a small bowl of phở dac biet. I didn’t realize it, but it was only like $ 0.50 more to get a large bowl. Anyways, at most phở places, you fish around looking for meat. In this case, I was honestly fishing around for more noodles! They aren’t stingy when it comes to the amount of meat they give. If you’re a meat lover, you won’t be disappointed! The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, and all the food came out at a reasonable time even with our large group. I’m not from the area, but I would definitely come back.

I miss Phong Dinh since I was taken there a lot as a child for random occasions like family friends visiting. I miss the catfish there… but this is about Phở Filet 2. Supposedly opened by the son of the family that opened Phở Filet. Gotta say, it’s a lot cleaner here than it is at Phở Filet(where I feel kinda grossed out sitting in). The phở isn’t quite as good because the broth is less flavorful and lacks the depth of Phở Filet. Some of the meat in my bowl oddly didn’t even have any flavor to it, and even worse: my girlfriend’s bowl of phở was kinda nasty. The tendons and some meat that I tried from her bowl had a strange taste to it. I couldn’t even describe it… but one thing I’m sure of is that I’m not coming back. Service is shitty like you have probably come to expect from phở restaurants. This lady looked so annoyed to have us as customers, from the moment that she sat us down to the moment I got the check. Doesn’t matter, amazing service couldn’t have saved my interest in trying their any of their food again.

Portions here are HUGE. For phở, it’s either small or XL. For an extra 50 cents you upgrade from small to XL. Do it if you have the appetite! They give you a good amount of meat but the broth just lacked depth of flavor. Vermicelli w/pork & egg roll — only 6 bucks and the bowl is ginormous. I’ve never been so stuffed from eating vermicelli. Taste-wise, it’s not the best. The noodles came a slightly warm which ended up being kind of mushy. Grilled pork was too thin and tasted burnt. I’d come here if I was really starving but otherwise there are better phở restaurants out there.

Went again last night and was immediately able to sit. We ordered drinks and our food. The Phở came out within a few minutes, but the beef stew was another matter. That took about 15 minutes. A warning to you all if you order the stew, it’s got lots of grizzle, and cartlidge. Not just lean beef. I would of had no problem with it but the person who ordered it didn’t care for it. The phở here is still one of my favs. Rich broth, add extra onions and get the beef on the side if you like it rare, you cannot go wrong. We also ordered the crêpe, with is HUGE for $ 6(was $ 5). It has shrimp, beef and veggies in a fried shell. It also comes with veggies and lettuce leaves to wrap. Good stuff. The service here pales compared to Golden Deli, but the food here is great. Don’t forget the extra oil — still have not figured out what it is.

Two locations with the same amazing food?! Yes, please! A beacon in the night that shines brightly after 9PM. If you are looking for the legendary Phở Filet, and you happen to be out past 9:00, then Phở Filet #2 is your answer! It’s got the same FOOD, SERVICE and ATMOSPHERE you’ve all come to know and love at Phở Filet; but with two extra hours to party! You’ll even have the same jewelry-clad, goatee’d manager at both locations to take your order. Don’t expect 5 Star service or sanitation at this restaurant. You come here for dang good phood… And that’s exactly what you get. I happen to like being sat with other small groups at a large table, it makes for an ever-interesting dining experience. Kristofer’s Standard for Phở-nomenal Excellence: #14, Large with extra meat on the side. Kristofer’s Tip of the Day: No free refills on Thai Iced Tea!!!
