Review is only for the apple fritter I got. Stopped by after lunch to buy a lotto ticket and picked up a donut. The apple fritter was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside just like they should be. I was expecting less honestly based on the look of the place. Lady working the counter was friendly to me and wished me good luck for the lotto. If I’m looking for a donut fix near work I’ll be back!

Just had the worst experience here I bought an apple fritter and it clearly tasted and looked burned so my daughter when to inform the lady the counter and she had a hissy fit«I have been working for 25 years here I know it looks like» I would understand if she would looked like she was concerned but she went off on us. Side note she was cleaning the counter with wet dirty towel when my daughter went she just turn around and grab a bag and gave what she ordered didn’t wash her hands. If I can give for a score for hygiene it would be(–10)

This lady charged me $ 9 for a small ham sandwich and water? She told me it was $ 1.25 for the water and made me pay more to change it to an apple juice instead. $ 4.50+$ 1.25 = $ 9? Was it 3 dollars in tax ?? When I asked her about it she became defensive and just brushed me off. 2⁄10 for shitty customer service. Would not recommend.

I always come here to get my donuts because it’s so close to my boyfriends house. I swear the lady charged me extra for my donuts. I didn’t look at the price until after I paid, but I was doing the math in my car and it seemed like she jipped me. But whatever it was a few dollars haha I also asked her if I could exchange my coins for dollar bills and she’s like, no I don’t want any coins. –____– geez moody much??? Made me so angry when she gave me that attitude. The old guys who work here are nice though. Sorry you guys gotta work with a mean old lady. Food wise, the donuts are the same you get everywhere else. They have your typical glaze, chocolate, maple, sugar, etc etc.

Long time customer… first time reviewer! Mr. Bill and I go way back from my high school years at RHS. Friends from high school joke around saying that I basically helped fund their children’s tuition by how many times I’ve been there. The owners are pretty cool. Mr. Bill always looks tired, bored, or a grumpy pants, but when you talk to him he’s pretty down to earth. The wife is pretty cool also. After five years, I returned to mr. bills and still greets me by «Hi John». Ham and cheeese? haha he knows me so well!

Just another donut shop — nothing really special. There’s a bunch of other donut shops in the area, so unless you’re in a crunch for donuts like I was, you can pass this. Otherwise, it’s not disappointing. $ 7.50 for my mixed dozen. They sell other things here also but my mission this morning was to get those who attended our training some donuts — and this is the closest donut shop for us. At least there was a good selection available when I went(I’ve been to a bad donut shop before … and my standards are low!) Mr. Bill or whoever the owner is(I’m assuming he’s the guy who helped me…) does not look excited.

What. Ham and Cheese Croissant for $ 3.50 when you sold it to me the last time I came here for $ 1.50 Uh. No. The lady that works here has this witch glare as if she was eye-ing everybody in the shop. It scared the shit out of me. I have no 6th period and my Softball girls decided to come here and order cheeseburgers(they’re cheap as hell and taste like in-n-out for cheap ass high schoolers) Took them like 1 god damn hour to make 2 cheeseburgers. Ok. Cheeseburger’s are like 2 dollars no tax I believe? I don’t know the lady always gives me different prices for all their crap. Their ice cream is cheap kind of, but she gives you a little. Yay thrifty. lol

Ahh, this place brings back memories of 2011 summer band camp: D I went here a lot w/my friends because the food was cheap. Soda is only $ 1, and they give you a decent amount. Their fries taste like donuts though, so they probably fry them in the donut oil. I had a cream cheese crescent last time I went, it was pretty yummy. The chairs here are a pain in the butt to sit on though, they creak and everything, but meh. The place is across from RHS so, it’s really close! :D

I“ve gone to Mr. Bills for a long time. I“ve tried everything from the donuts to the salads to the hamburgers. So far i’ve repeatedly bought their salads because they give an abundance for under $ 5 and it really fills me up. Chef Salad and Avocado chicken salad is a couple that i always ordered. The only problem is their salad dressing and selection sucks. They have thousand island and italian. Their italian dressing is pure salt, oil, and lime juice. So everytime i order a salad i would bring my own salad dressing.

Mr. Bill’s is a very good donut and hamburger shop. The burger tasted homemade(in a good way). At first, Mr. Bill(the cook) seemed a little grumpy. But I got him to smile. Way above average!

If ya’ll from RHS, ya’ll better have tried Mr. Bills during your time in high school– unless, you’re just a sore loser. Anyways, don’t let the name fool you– it’s MORE than a donut shop. And trust me, it’s like an EVERYTHING shop. Nobody knows this(besides Rosemead folks), but the CHEFSALAD is absolutely amazing for $ 4.95. I mean it’s refreshing, fulfilling, and filled with meat(ham, turkey, and roast beef). Another good item would probably be the pastrami sandwich. The donuts aren’t too great. But overall, this place is cheap. Eating this salad brings back memories of the good times back in high school. And it makes me miss how easy high school was and when you would go everywhere with your friends(ie. Mr. Bills) during lunch and try to make it back before lunch ends. The environment isn’t exactly the best. It’s like similar to all the other ghetto donut shops in El Monte. I wouldn’t go there for a date or anything special, but mainly to eat the salad(even though it might be extremely to make). But I’m sure $ 10 will get you a lot there. Additionally, a lot of high schoolers go there during/after school hours. So don’t go there during school hours(ie. lunch & after school) just because it might get crowded due to the high school kids. Other than that, Mr. Bills is a good place to eat if you’re looking for something cheap to eat.

Eh… if I’m nice, I might bump this up to 2.5. MIGHT. So one day as I’m perusing my friend’s reviews, I see a review for this place by the oh so awesome Anh T.( ) and she made note that this place was right next to California Tint. So today when I was waiting for my dad’s car to be tinted, I decided I would give this place a try. Plus, I was craving donuts, which Mr. Bill’s has, because I haven’t had a donut in a long time. You walk in and it’s more than a donut shop. It’s an everything shop. Donuts, a couple arcade games, sandwiches, sodas, calling cards, cigarettes. It even has a kitchen in the back, which tells me if an actual restaurant moved in(albeit really small), it could move in without much of a problem(minus all of the health, fire, buliding, and safety inspections). So this place is just like a liquor store that sells donuts and food, just without the alcohol. I got a chocolate twist and a banana cream filled chocolate glaze. Just like the 2 star rating says… meh, I’ve experienced better. I dunno, the donut was… go to Uncle Joe’s

After at least a year of following Judy W’s tantalizing reviews( ), I’ve had donuts on my mind. Unfortunately, not everyone can survive a swim in Sugar Heaven and maintain a svelte figure as she does. Yes, I’m quite bitter! The beautiful memory of a spongy mass of sugar, flour, sugar, oil and even more sugar taunts me on a regular basis… and I… must…resist. Until, that is, last weekend. Waiting to get a gangster tint for Ceci, I found myself on a bench at Mr. Bill’s door. My mouth was watering, as I whiffed the sweet donut-y aromas from inside the shop. Suddenly, I thought I heard something call out my name. Or maybe someone just saw a friend and said«What’s going ON?» I hate that. I glanced into the display of donuts and found myself almost immediately entranced by the beautiful glaze on an apple fritter. My thumbs stopped in mid-twiddle. Damn Gina, it’s sexy time. Within moments, I found myself being handed the warm and soft danish on a sheet of wax paper. For a minute, I examined the little pieces of cinnamon-y sugared apples winking from underneath a gooey crust. One bite, and I was in Sugar Heaven. Then of course, I had to wave at Judy as I swam by.
