Dr. Jolly Sugarcane Juice

This place is heaven their drinks are sooo delicious fresh and healthy I come here three times ou of the week and buy Two or three each time I would definitely recommend this place their shuvra cane and coconut water is to die for

If you like sugarcane juice or pennyworth drink, then this is the place to go. I like how the sugarcane juice tastes refreshing, healthy, and sweet. I am a fan of pennyworth drink, so having the half-​sugarcane/​half-​pennyworth drink left me beyond satisfied. I tried the sugarcane juice on its own but I really like how the pennyworth cuts the sweetness a bit of the sugarcane.
It’s a no-​frills place in a shopping plaza that can easily be missed. However, do not deter you or allow you to underestimate this place! I like how you can add different flavors into your sugarcane drinks. I felt lethargic after digesting loads of carbs for dinner but after having that drink, I felt reinvigorated — as if I experienced a magical cleansing of my innards.
This place might just be my pick-​me-​up whenever I feel fatigued, sick, unhealthy, or anything short of okay. A little pricy for a cup but hey, that money would’ve gone to boba or Starbucks anyways. I’d rather invest it in a healthier option.

After I posted a review yesterday, I received this message from this drink place. Lol. I will quote his entire message here and let you guys to judge.
«Why are you being a asshole and lie abt my employee being bad service to you when you didn’t buy shit from us. I saw the security camera when you are here. I know cheap ass like yourself drink water better for you. This is not China or Asia, if you want for free drink then take your ass back where you came from… America don’t cheap people like your stupid ass to be in this country.»
If you do want to bring this to racism, you will definitely regret it.

I got off work today and was debating when I should try Dr. Jolly… I finally tried it today and now I’m wondering to myself, why didn’t I try this place sooner!
I order 3 large sugarcane with kumquat and a small half and half (sugar cane/​coconut Juice) that the manager recommended! Thanks for the recommendation!

The juice was awesome and so was the service. The manager is really friendly and honest! My total came out to be $ 15 but I accidentally gave $ 20 (four $ 5 bills) and he was like you gave too much! Hahaha

full disclosure, will be trying my first sugarcane coconut juice this weekend. as a personal trainer, I had to call and get the 411 on the place before I made the drive. the owner took his time to explain to me about the young thai coconut and fresh sugarcane he uses and some of the various health benefits. #excited

Today I was able to try Dr. Jolly Sugarcane and met the owner, he was nice and friendly and informative. I had 2 previous attempts but I’m glad I was able to try it this afternoon because it was and still is pretty hot (80 °F+). The sugarcane juice here does stand out, as they have a special extractor that cold pressed and apparently they have the only machine in all of CA, since the owner has the license for it. The sugarcane juice is not as thick as the other places because of the filtering and it’s nice and thin and juice like consistency without all the fiber risidual left behind by other places. I ordered a large half and half (half fresh coconut water + half fresh pressed sugarcane juice) which was perfectly refreshing and had just the right amount of both juices, and this shop is way cleaner than most compared to the Chinese herbal shop in the same plaza. I’m very happy that I was able to experience Dr. Jolly Sugarcane on a day I needed some afternoon refreshment, will definitely be back again to try their straight sugarcane or sugarcane with added flavors. Keep it up Dr. Sugarcane!

OMG love this establishment! First of all let me disclose that this isn’t a FULL ON juice bar. They serve either sugarcane, pennyworth, and/​or coconut juice. You can get them mixed together or on their own and add either kumquat, watermelon, lemon, and/​or ginger to your juice. It’s SOOOO REFRESHING! The people who work here, which one I believe was the owner, are friendly and helpful! They even gave us samples and hooked us up with a free drink! I told my boyfriend that I plan to come here at least once a week. He laughed, but I’m just telling the truth!
I recommend getting sugarcane and coconut juice with kumquat. It’s amazing and it’s good for you!

Was craving it and going to buy the yummy juice for my staff on my day off. So I got in my car and drove from Irvine to the business … after 50 minutes, I noticed the store was closed.
I called the store and the owner stated that he’s closed due to today’s weather.
Pretty bad business practice If your a business owner, you need to suck it up rain or shine to provide customer service. Perhaps he should post a sign stating «Closed in the event to bad weather».
I have been a long time loyal customer but this is just bad business practices and I had to warn my fellow Unilocalers.

Fair prices, easy parking and friendly owner /​staff. I highly recommend this place!

After lunch in the same plaza, my friend suggested getting sugarcane juice. The same friend has been consistently coming here for months and raves about it. Sugarcane juice is healthy and a good alternative beverage, especially on a hot day. There are different flavor add-​ons to the juice. The owner was explaining the different options and suggestions. He said I can do ½ and ½ flavor so I went with ginger and lemon, which was really tasty. The juice isn’t too sweet and I felt healthy as I was drinking it.
You can actually see the owner putting a stick of real sugar cane into this machine! Loud yes, but it’s live action! Located in a small Asian plaza with tight spots. Might be easier to just park on the street.
Will be back in the near future!

Hubby likes this place. They mainly sell fresh pressed sugar cane juice here, but also offers other Asian inspired fruit juices, like kumquat. The place is located inside an Asian shopping plaza with ample, free parking. Not too busy during the weekends, so it’s a good place to get a cool drink when you don’t want to wait in long lines.

So after a fun night of partying NYE the boyfriend, friends and I felt kinda depleted and dehydrated (thanks again, alcohol). Our friends recommended Dr. Jolly to get some sugar cane juice…
This place is off the hook! Everything is organic and refreshing! I tried the beet/​sugar cane juice (also contains pineapple and watermelon)…it was SO good! And the best part is it’s also very good for you… can’t «beet» that ;)

I recommend the Half & Half. Half coconut, half sugarcane. So good! You can definitely taste the quality and you don’t have to feel guilty, because it’s good for you! Satisfies my sweet tooth cravings.
The owner is really nice and there’s designated parking specifically for their customers only right in front. Spoke to the owner and there’s an error in hours listed on Unilocal.They are NOT closed on Wednesdays. They are open Sunday 11AM-​7PM and Monday to Saturday 10AM-​8PM.

Super fresh juice with the option of one additional flavor added for free. But there’s just something different about this sugarcane juice that I am not used to. I usually drink the more common type of sugarcane juice which is green sugarcane. The sugarcane they juice here is red but has a fragrant aftertaste that I do not really like. The man who was serving me was nice and was telling me about their juice, health benefits and how it does not have any pulp like the other places. He was very friendly. But as for now I am still a fan of the regular green sugarcane juice. I may come back and give it another try in the future. For $ 3.50 you get a decent medium size, $ 5 you get a large, and they also have a gallon for $ 35. You can also phone in your order so you don’t have to stand there and wait.

I regularly go to Tantawan Thai Kitchen in the same shopping complex, and I’ve always been curious about Dr. Jolly Sugarcane Juice. After reading the reviews for this place, we had to stop by and try it out! Expecting amazing drinks, but sadly, the drinks were just okay!
Ordered a medium coconut-​sugar cane juice and a medium kumquat-​sugar cane juice. To me, the coconut-​sugar cane combo was way too sweet. We ended up not being able to finish it. The kumquat-​sugar cane combo was much better. Not too sweet and the tanginess from the kumquat worked well with the sugar cane juice.
A lot of reviews also mentioned the friendliness of the staff at Dr. Jolly. A little disappointed that we did not get a friendly vibe at all from start to finish. Not that it was unwelcoming and unfriendly. It was more of an indifferent vibe. There was definitely awkward silence while our drinks were being made.
Willing to give this place a second chance the next time I go to Tantawan. Sort of like the idea that all ingredients are fresh and natural. I’m a big watermelon fan, and maybe I’ll try the watermelon-​sugar cane combo.

OMGGGG! Wow I’ve tried my fair share of suagrcane juices, and this place by far is the best one. A small is $ 3.50 and a large is $ 5. I say get the large because it’s a huge cup, totally worth it. You can even add kumquat, watermelon, lemon, ginger or pineapple for FREE to your drink. It’s like in syrup form so it’s not actual chunks of fruit or toppings.
My friend got the kumquat sugarcane drink and it was absolutely amazing. It’s super sweet, but not sweet as in like cakes/​cupcakes sweet. It has like a natural sugar type of sweet to it. So after drinking it, I don’t feel super fat or bloated. It’s honestly the most refreshing drink you can have on a hot summer day, definitely recommend!
They have other juices like coconut juice, beet juice, or half sugarcane half coconut juice. I haven’t tried these yet, but I don’t think I will ever stray away from just the sugarcane juice.

Expect to wait awhile, everything is made to order, freshly juiced.
Coconut water + sugar cane. Get it. It is. LIFE CHANGING. It’s motherfucking out of this WORLD, good. Ugh.

I decided to give this place another try after receiving a message from the owner. Apparently there was some family emergency that required the business to close for a while. It’s open regular hours now and seems to be more consistent.
Since my previous visit they added a
new drink made with beet, watermelon, pineapple, and sugarcane juice. Pretty good stuff since beet has anti-​inflammatory benefit. It’s pricier than regular sugarcane juice since it has lot more ingredients but I think it’s worth it.
As far as taste, I still prefer sugarcane juice with ginger.
Glad this place is back up and running. Now I can drink this stuff on a regular basis.

Been here three times for my ailments, but sadly it only fixed me once. The second time, they didn’t open on time. I was there at 10am… waited 10 minutes and no one was in sight and the chains on the doors were still locked. The third time, one of their hoses to their sugarcane machine broke. Didn’t have any spares… So ended up going to Quang An Duong Chinese Herb, located in the same plaza for my fix.
Location: Located in the Vikon Center Plaza
Parking: Might have trouble finding parking. This place has a lot of small restaurants and stores. Just be patient!
Cost: $ 3.00 for small and a large is $ 4.50. It is .50 more than the large at Quang An Duong Chinese Herb.
Game Changer: Sugarcane juice with different flavors to choose from (choose 1): Kumquat (seasonal), lemon, lime, ginger, and half and half $.75 extra (sugarcane and fresh coconut).
Sugarcane of choice: I only tried one so far and I liked it. It was sugarcane with ginger. It is great if you have a sore throat. Very refreshing!
I’ll still go… perhaps next time it’ll be a better experience for me.
