This place is awesome. My buddy works here he asked me if I could photograph there xmas celebration so I did. I was amazed how the staff did everything they could to make this even a success. Games, santa showed up, arts and crafts, raffles, fashion show, and the list goes on. You could see the enjoyment in the patients eye plus they were smiling too. Free food it was all around a great event. With little funding they still made it a blast to be a part of. I was honored to be with so many people who are there trying to make a difference. Make a difference either volunteer or donate. Keep these events going for the patients. They deserve it.

Honestly, I only ended up here cos I mistakenly confirmed to my school that this had been the center I had previously received my counseling services AND oddly enough, they had a file that matched my description. Weird, right?
I’m not saying that this place is better than the other place, but I’m glad I ended up here. Vicky was my counselor and she was great. She came to my house sometimes and sometimes my school for our meetings. For convenience, she asked me either or what, I wanted to come to her or vice versa. She incorporated things I loved into my therapy, like art. So I had some art therapy. I can’t say that I’m «cured,» but she has had a hugely positive and permanent impact on my life. She really went out of her way for me and was so understanding and patient with me.
But before you start «therapy,» the one thing you really need to know is that you WILL NOT get anywhere unless you open up and invite your therapist into your life. «And how does that make you feel?» IS an important question. If you feel stupid talking about your problems, don’t be. APFC is there to help, not to judge.
This place is amazing and I highly recommended them! I’m so grateful for what they do.
