Healthy Air in Roselle, IL was contracted by CEDA to make my home more energy efficient. They sent 2 men under the age of 20 who refused to speak English. Electric was disconnected to part of my home and I was told to wait til final inspection; genuine copper ductwork (4×10×24) lining crawl space was stolen and craftily replaced with stretch-​like aluminum foil type conduits that became water logged. These sent spores along with moisture throughout my home. Fixtures in excellent working order were removed w/​o permission and replaced (just like the duct work) with low-​grade underperforming items. Huge patches remain where these fixtures were removed and new holes were made w/​o permission ½’ from the old. 2 drainage pipes in crawl space were shorted so that water began drenching anterior floors leaving one drain packed with debris and useless. Two large holes were made and left in side of my home and each time there’s moisture or heavy mist, rain or melting snow sewer smells are an embarrassment throughout my home. Animals shelter in my crawl space due to gaping holes. The interior (retention wall throughout) has been so overly drenched by the inflow of water that the integrity of the foundation is unquestionably compromised showing several deep water soaked cracks from top to bottom. There was such an enormous amount of dirt throughout the house that 5 ceiling fans and one window fan ran 10 days in order to clear the air so I could see clearly from one room to the other. This left carpeting, furniture, walls filthy. Brian from CEDA told me to sign a paper and that they would send contractors to repair the sustained damages. I WAS UNAWARE THAT I WAS SIGNING CEDA and HEALTHY AIR’S FINAL INSPECTION document. Brian made several promises to send contractors before he finally stopped answering my calls. More than 20 calls to CEDA’s Hotline were without effect. My bedroom window has been broken by them and useless since May 2014. I’d only moved into my home 19 months before these companies horrendously covered up the theft of my ducting system and in other ways destroyed my newly rehabbed home. Everything had worked perfectly fine prior to their very first day out here which began with one disaster after another, including trips for me to the emergency room, etc. I now have health as well as house issues from the awful work that are irreparable.
