Chase Bank

I had an absolutely horrible experience at this branch. I went there to cash a check (a non personal chase bank check). I was barely greeted by the «branch manager» Jacquelyn Watson she informed me that I was unable to cash the check and I would have to deposit it into my bank account. I didn’t understand why a check that has the banks name on it wasn’t able to be cashed. I wasn’t angry at this point, just confused. I took her word for it and called the check issuer. They were just as confused and said they should cash it without a problem. They told me to go and find out exactly why it wasn’t being cashed and they would speak to the bank manager if need be. So I went back in and was greeted by a different person I explained the situation to him and the same «branch manager» I dealt with earlier, steps in front of the gentleman helping me and says «I already told you we cant cash the check.» I then tried to explain to her that I wasn’t trying to change or violate any of their policies, but just trying to understand so I can relay that to the check issuer. She refused to explain anything and I asked if could have the issuing companies representative call her and she replied «im not getting on your phone and talking to anyone» so i told her i didnt expect her to get on my phone, that I would have them call the branch. She then tells me that shes not speaking to anyone unless its the owner of the company. Owner of the company? Seriously? You really think the owner or CEO of a financial institution is going to call a branch manager to help either one of us? I tried telling her i don’t want any problem, I’m just trying to understand. She replied «how many times do i have to tell you I’m not cashing your check before you understand» I walked out. I really don’t understand how Chase allows such horribly rude and obnoxious people to hold a position as branch manager. You would think they would give the job of a manager to someone with customer service skills or at the very least, a little class. Guess not though. I will NEVER bank with them and i wouldn’t recommend anyone else to. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BRANCH!
