I really need to learn to check Unilocal first before requesting services like these. Called around the day after Thanksgiving and they were the only ones seemingly taking service calls. Sink drain was all clogged up after over-​stuffing the garbage disposal with potato skins and needed to be snaked out. The clog was further down than I could get with my manual snake.
Tech came out took a long drag on his cig and flicked it onto my driveway. I had the disposal already off so he hooked up his snake, ran it for 30 – 40 seconds then said it was probably fine. He left without reattaching the disposal or even TESTING it to make sure it was freed.
I put the disposal back together and ran the water. Within 10 seconds it was backed up so we had to call him back out. He shows up clearly annoyed and flicks a 2^nd cigarette into my driveway. He attacks the clog from the bottom up using an access flange in my basement. Rather than put a garbage can down there or something to catch all the clogged up gunk he just runs the snake until the nastiness pukes out ALL OVER my basement.
The tech then packs up his gear, complains about getting his ‘nice jeans’ dirty and leaves the giant pond of backed up nastiness behind. Runs the sink for 20 seconds and bolts out the door.
We called the company to explain what happened and after sending them some pictures of the disaster area the tech left behind they offered to either extend the warranty on the freed up clog or give us a free snake service if a different pipe gets clogged. There is no way we are calling these guys again and letting them in our house. The tech was unprofessional, sloppy, unprepared. He did not even bring his own tools and had to use mine — Including my plunger. I mean, what kind of plumber shows up to a job in their ‘nice jeans’ and doesn’t even bring a plunger!!!

Shouldn’t write free estimate on the website if you’re going to give attitude about having to come here and not doing any work. As soon as I said I’ll think about it, he discounted $ 25 and then gave me a lecture about how I shouldn’t have people come over without having to do work. Found another company that was $ 60 cheaper.

This company is an absolute rip-​off. I was not getting much cold air from my Central air unit so i made the mistake of calling them. On the phone i was quoted a $ 75 fee for inspection.
The first technician who showed up was a perfect scam artist.
He checks the filter and says it needs to be changed and says the charge for that is $ 175 (not to change the filter but just to identify the filter needs to be changed).
Next he makes me go and get the filter. When i return he says refrigerant is low (which is most likely removed the system intentionally) and says it will be another $ 750 to fill the refrigerant. I tell him i paid $ 200 for the recharge last year and then he says he will take $ 250 for it. I completely lost trust in him and asked him to leave.
I call the owner and complaint and he promises to send another technician and waive their fees. The next technician is a lot more professional and fills the refrigerant but he still charges me $ 350 to fill the refrigerant (which they actually stole in the first place). I still decided to pay them. There is no credit offered as was stated by the owner.
In addition i learnt that this company makes technicians work on commission so there is always an incentive for the technicians to jack up prices to make more money and screw customers in the process.
As i said they are an absolute rip off and i really hope they go out of business.

Wow. Just, wow.
We had just moved into our home a week prior to this whole ordeal. We were having problems with the basement sink draining and I was horrified to find that it was overflowing uncontrollably one Sunday. I had called my plumber (awesome guy) but he wasn’t able to come out. As a first time homeowner I panicked and called these guys, because I had read that they don’t charge extra for nights/​weekends. Score. I also read that they come out in an hour or less. Double score. The dispatcher guy said they plumbers would be out by 2.
When 2 came rolling around I called again. «Definitely by 3». Long story short, they came around 6. Frustrating. Nice guys though… I showed them the problem and they had the answer, It was my sewer backed up (gag). He said low end was 500, high end was 600 to fix it right then. I wasn’t sure if that was good or bad, but what was I supposed to do? I had a sink spewing out poop. I told him to fix it. It took him and his guy about a half hour to fix. They didn’t clean up after the job (I don’t really blame them, but come on. they left their towels and garbage everywhere). It came to 700 $ with the tax.
The following day my plumber came out and said that snaking the sewer should have run no more than 200 and was absolutely flabbergasted over how much they charged… and that they had only done one of the two traps. So i over paid by about 500 $. FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS.
I called the place back and spoke to a very rude person who made invalid arguments about how it was more because it was Sunday, and that they are a big company so they charge more than other plumbers. Kinda hurting your business there, huh? The owner was nice though and gave us 10% off, or, their «Senior Citizen» discount. So at the end we were overcharged by only 400.
Way to completely rob a young family the first week in their first house. It’s not like we have a 30 year mortgage to pay or anything. Terrible!!!

Just because i said their estimate was a «bit higher than expected» the guy simply backs out his car and leave. Absolute… Rude. I saw google reviews saying the same.
Do not hire these people. Not at any cost. Just don’t.

my water tank (circulating pump) needed to be replaced and someone came and told me it would be $ 800 including labor. i asked him to discount more, he said parts were about $ 500 and the rest is labor.
he said $ 700 plus tax so i agreed to do the job through them – i checked on line to check the price on the pump the close to the ones he installed was maximum $ 200.
i feel that i ‘ve been completely rip off…
work is done and he did it in less than 20minutes. wow too much labor cost.
i don’t think they can stay in the business too long, people can find out everything on line these days…
i will not refer them to anyone…

They replaced a thermal sensor on my system, a few days after I began to smell gas. I called them back and they returned after I called, and said it had nothing to do with them and they could not find the leak for less than $ 1200 more. I called PSE&G and they found the leak, and fixed it for free, and the leak was due to their previous installation of the thermal sensor. Completely would have screwed me over if I had not called my gas company.

Horrible company to work with. Long story short: I had to get some minor plumbing work done. I was given an estimate and was quoted $ 250 after the plumber looked at the problem. It seemed like a reasonable price and I didn’t want to waste more time getting other estimates. I told him to work on it. He returned a few hours later.
The job took about 40 minutes. He left everything extremely messy. But no big deal, I can clean up I guess.
When he wrote the bill, it was $ 450!!!
I was in shock. His reasoning, there were unexpected obstacles and he spent more time than he anticipated.
I offered to pay $ 250. He refused and told me that his company will come after me and will likely take me to court if I don’t pay in full in 30 days.
Such a shady shady company. Shame on you!

Similar story to Robert B. Called to repair a backed up sink. Made a mess in the basement and they said they couldn’t fix it. Charged me $ 300 plus they wanted to send another plumber for unknown cost because the technician who came didn’t have the right equipment. Avoid at all cost. I wish I would have seen these reviews.
Update: received a follow up call from manager and was given a coupon to my satisfaction for future work, therefore I have changed my initial rating.
