Imaginations at Play

We visit often because of the great variety for various ages. The staff should be more outgoing with kiddies and it would be nice to get formal gift certificates or at least a nicer printed version. It’s a little weird when I give a gift of passes and they are printed on low end paper and cut unevenly. I actually asked if they were real when I first bought them.
Other than that overall it’s cute, easy to get to and has a lot to offer.

This place is completely rundown. The idea is great but it’s not sanitary at all. Floors look like they were never cleaned, toys are falling apart or most don’t even work. There’s maybe one doll in the doll area that should just b thrown away. The water table area is a mess, water all over the floor had to ask a staff member if they’d mop it because I was afraid a kid would get hurt. No toilet paper in the bathroom, had to tell staff that also. I don’t think there is any cleaning done when they close. Half the toys in the cubicles don’t even go w the toys in there… barn w no barn animals, cradles w no dolls. Tunnel in the toddler section that’s collapsed so kids can’t even crawl through! The owner should think about hiring a professional cleaning crew, update all the gross toys and start fresh. I recently purchased a Groupon to use here. Before I got a chance to use it, we got invited to a playdate and was looking forward to checking the place out ahead of time.
Let’s just say we never used the Groupon. Lots of activity areas, but you can tell they are past their prime. Toys are falling apart, everything is in disarray, and there’s no real flow between areas. My son almost got knocked down several times from kids running wild from one side of the building to the other with no supervision. The water area is run down and the water smocks they give out aren’t water repellant at all. We had to change our kid’s clothes after 10 minutes since he was drenched. The facilities in general need refreshing and the staff needs to be more involved. I gave it two stars for the amount of activities available, but we won’t be going back.

I’ve brought my 1 & ½ year old son a few times now. We really enjoy it. His favorites are the water table, bounce house and sandbox area.

This was a fun place to bring my daughter to play, but unfortunately they don’t open until noon on weekends. I should’ve known this ahead of time, but I forgot. We arrived at 11am on a Saturday and were turned away despite there being a birthday party of like 10 people playing. Just myself, my wife, and our 2 year old. Did they really expect our daughter to wait an hour? My wife took my daughter to use the bathroom as the 3 workers resumed their standing around and discussing food. She then returned from the bathroom raring to play, and we had to break it to her that we had to leave. We ended up loading her back into the car in tears and left to find another activity. 11am on a Saturday, I could go to the local bar and get a beer, but I can’t bring my kid in to play! She’s up at 7am like most other kids her age. Sorry but that’s unacceptable. She now refers to this as the «stinky place,» and I can’t argue with that.

I bought Groupons for this place cause the reviews seemed great on their site but it’s not so great. It’s small and not clean at all. The say they clean it but everything you touch was dirty or sandy. The bouncy place is filled with sand and spit from kids and dirty. The toys don’t work or batteries are dead. The toddler area for 6 months to 18 months is so small and overcrowded with toys that don’t work and haven’t been cleaned. I will not be taking my Little one back for open play. I took him to the outdoor park instead and he loved it. At least that is supposed to be dirty and sandy. I don’t recommend this place.

Suprised to see some bad reviews on here took my 10month old here today and he loved it! Place was clean and staff was very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely be returning! P. s The sand box was his fave!

The idea of this place a great idea if it were executed properly. I don’t think I will go back again after today’s experience. We’ve been there twice before today but that was in the afternoon so today we went in the morning and to my surprise this place is absolutely filthy and cheaply executed. The sand box was full of garbage and hair!!! The paint room was again full of garbage, and paper plate were there to paint on instead of paper, gues they didn’t have paper this time and just grabbed plates from the kitchen?, all the chalk is in baby pieces that can’t even be used they don’t even clean that up and throw it away… still what the point of chalk if there soo tiny the kids can’t even grab them!!! Get sidewalk chalk! The markers are all garbage dried up, they don’t even replace the paints they were all empty and left there ohh but the water was clean for broken paint brushes. And again hair in the crayons! I can expect this at 3pm but not 11am! This place is disgusting: God only knows when they’ve clean the baby blanket in the baby pen. The jungle gym in the back is probably the same size as chuckie cheese and at CC it’s free! There is NO jungle gym play suitable for toddlers like at Fun for all which is the same admission price. This place is like a dirty daycare that barley meets guidelines. Seriously don’t bother bringing your children there are better places.

I took three of my children ages 4, 3 & 1 to play for the first time today. I had heard great reviews from friends and I really looked forward to going and getting a day out after all the snow. First walking in the girls that great you are very friendly. The first thing we did was use the bathroom of course and it was nice and clean, that was the cleanest part of this place. In the first five min we got there I put my 1 year old down in the toddler play area in the back room to find peanuts on the floor in several spots. Peanuts!!! So not only did someone eat in the non eating area they ate peanuts… this may not make some people upset, but having a 10 yr old with a high allergy to peanuts. This made me immediately pick it up and notify the girls in the front. They again were very nice and kind and apologetic. They sent one girl back to clean it up and what she did was spray the area with Lysol… Really Lysol??? After a that I found most of the toys to be dirty and in the area of play with the food shopping pretend play they had no pretend food. I expected more organization with the cleaning up of the toys. They offered the dirty toy bucket to throw dirty toys in. Is the only toys that get cleaned the dirty toy bucket toys? I also was disturbed at the area that the tables are set up families must have sat for lunch dropped food over the floor and no one was sweeping or cleaning. I don’t think I would go back there to play and I am crossing my fingers my kids don’t end up with some crazy fungus.

My 18 month old son loved this place. We got there around 10am on Friday, there were two other kids there. Very cute and many things to do. The reason for the 3 stars is I felt it could be cleaner and there should have been more staff enforcing the rules about shoes in the crawler area. The ride on toys were filthy, looks like toys that have been kept outside. Otherwise good place for the money.

I would give this place 5 stars for open play and zero as a birthday party place. That averages my 3 star review. When this place first opened, it was new and nobody knew about it so it was amazing. I would take my kids here for hours and we had the place to ourselves. A year later we decided to book for my son’s birthday party. For the price I assumed we were renting out the place for a few hours. We weren’t and it happened to be the busiest day I’ve ever seen. The kids were lost in the crowds. We couldn’t even find one of the kids at cake time. It was chaotic and noisy. The other thing that really angered me was that we purchased the piñata and when it broke ALL the candy was HARD sucking candy (like those striped peppermints and jolly ranchers). I would never give 3 – 7 year olds sucking candy so I basically had to throw out my kid’s entire goodie bags after the party while my birthday boy threw a fit. Wouldn’t they know that it’s a choking hazard for little kids? I haven’t been there in some time but I would definitely go back for open play. I would just never pay to have a party there again.

I had my daughters birthday party there. The place was packed. They had open play and 3 other parties. I get to the place 30 minutes before my party to set up like I was told to when I left my deposit. 10 minutes before the party started I was allowed in a room. My guests arrived and I was still setting up.
I paid for the deluxe package and so when it was time for the children to paint the ceramics I had to go fetch my guests, something the hostess said she would do but didn’t. I come back and my daughter had started her craft, I missed out!
I also had to fetch the guests for the pizza.
The hostess asked me if I brought spoons and napkins because they ran out. I was told BEFOREHAND that I didn’t need to provide that.
The hostess was no where to be seen as I had to clear the table myself.
After the cake the hostess informs me we need to be out for 3 for a private party. All of a sudden I have 3 of the employees cleaning up.
My guests described my party as chaos. For the nearly 500 I spent I could’ve saved the money and went to a hall since I hosted it here. I didn’t get to enjoy the party and enjoy my daughter having a great time.
I’m so upset by this and instead of being apologetic the manager said «well we did have 3 parties and open play». I was told the owner Madeline would call me. Several hours later her husband called me. He offered me open play and a ceramic for my daughter and one friend. And pizza and a drink. And if they have a face painter there she can get that too. He then offered me a «good deal» on his limo service based out of Farmingdale if I have to go to the airport (which had NOTHING to do with our dialogue).
It would’ve been nice if they refunded my deposit for my troubles or allowed ALL my guests to come back and not one. I do not feel like this was handled well and doubt I will be back, and I’m sure my play groups won’t be either since they weren’t happy with how they were treated that day as well.

We took our 16 month old son here on a Tuesday at 10:00am and aside from the summer camp they run from 9:30am to noon, this place was pretty empty which was great. It was about 6 bucks for him and my husband and I were free. My son was able to play on all the toys and use all of the different play rooms without being trampled on by bigger kids. Everything is clean and well maintained. Around 11:30 it was getting busier, but we were ready to go by then. My son had a great time and we will definitely come back!

Cute little place, great for all different ages but I’d say toddlers would have the most fun! Can’t wait to go back and see how he reacts when he brings his friends! So far it’s a great place for those hot days and cold days! Lots of indoor fun and imagination!
