Specialties
Great food, fabulous music, weddings and special events at the recently refurbished historic Stage Stop restaurant, bar, and dance hall; on the Peak to Peak Highway, only 45 minutes from Denver.
History
Established in 1868.
Constructed around the time of the Civel War, the Stage Stop was first a barn, then a Toll Gate Barn for the Butterfield Stage Company road over Rollins Pass, and more recently a restaurant and bar with a hayloft dance hall, live music venue, and weddings and events hall.
The historic 1868 structure is built of rough hewn timbers (post and beam construction). It’s an architectural marvel and a historic venue, situated beside South Boulder Creek and the main rail line to Winter Park via the Moffat Tunnel.
