I cannot think of a worse company to deal with. They can write a book on how not to do customer service. Their software has not worked correctly from the very beginning and they are either unable or unwilling to fix it. After a a year and half they just keep asking me to send them examples of the issues. They never fix the problem and when I complain they tell me that I need to send them more examples and nothing happens. When I told them that I would not pay until they could fix the issue they threatened to suspend my service and told me to keep paying until they fixed it and then they would look at issuing a credit. That was over a year ago. I got them to agree to a discount but after the first month they started sending me past due notices and threatening to suspend my service again. Absolutely horrible company.

I don’t recommend doing business with fleetmatics. Very unprofessional with hidden contracts. Buyer beware

As you can see by most of the reviews, this is one of the worst company’s to deal with. If they only knew how many people i have told not to work with them they would S%#*. I have been with them for almost 2 years and the only reason why that is because of the contract that they stuck me with. If i would have known just how they were i would have never signed with them. I will not be renewing anything with this company.

Fleetmatics is a terrible Company. We tried to cancel last year, we had signed a year long contract over five years ago. They told us «sorry, it’s in the fine print that your contract auto renews each year unless you give us thirty days notice». Only scumbag companies use auto renew contracts because it is sometimes the only way to retain unhappy customers. Honestly, what other reason would you need? It’s just as shady as a gym membership.
Luckily we read the contract because they lied, the notice of cancellation needs to take place at 90 days not 30 like they told us. Knowing what I know now I have no doubt this was absolute deception in an attempt to force us to pay another year. We sent a letter to their cancellation address at 90 days, no response, sent another at 60 days, no response, sent another letter at 30 days and followed up with an email to our rep, no response.
We stopped paying at the end of the contract and they have now harassed and threatened us will a lawsuit and collection if we do not pay them for another year’s service. What kind of shady, scum bag company does this? We have provided copies of all of our letters, dates and emails and they conveniently keep claiming they haven’t received any of it three times. What is the benefit of forcing someone to continue to pay for service that A: you obviously do not want, B: you don’t use anymore. We have been with Budget GPS for over a year and love it. Great service, great prices, great people.
If these lying scum bags come knocking on your door run like hell.

The worst company ever. Have been with them for over 4 years and service is worse than ever. Brand new vehicle install the guy they sent to install the equipment goofed up our new sales vehicle and made the tranny and engine light come on. when we were upset he pulled the equipment back out making a bigger mess on a vehicle with less than 200 miles on it. Equipment always braking, they send new brains and it is the cord. Wait another week for a new cord. Still can not get the bill corrected. They put fuel card charges on our vehicles and we don’t have fuel cards with them. The worst ever. Then they have you stuck in a contract and they hold you hostage to leave even though they have the worst service on the planet.
Do not go with them. Find a better more reputable company that actually cares if a customer is not satisfied and will do something to correct the problem. If I could give them a negative star rather than 1 I sure would. RUN FOR THE HILLS FIRST

Well, I’ve held off on posting this for almost 2 weeks.
I’ve been a customer of Fleetmatics for between 4 and 6 years now. I’ve been satisfied with the service until I was basically forced to upgrade. The upgrade went horribly. The technician sent to do the upgrade did not speak English so communication was difficult at best. After the upgrade was finished I specifically ask the technician if he ‘TESTED’ every unit. He assured me that he did.
As a business owner I am often VERY busy running my own business. I look to outside sources to assist with my operations. For me to stop what I’m doing and ensure that the new units were installed correctly and worked as intended was IMPOSSIBLE.
Since the initial upgrade I’ve made numerous calls to get the problem fixed. I’ve had to elevate the problem and speak with Chris Olson. I was assured by Chris last FRIDAY that I would be receiving new units to replace the ones that were not functioning correctly on Saturday morning. They were supposed to be shipped overnight and would be received Saturday. I ASKED FOR A TRACKING NUMBER, Chris evaded my question and simply restated the Saturday delivery date. The units DID NOT ARRIVE Saturday as scheduled. Consequently they did not get delivered until TUESDAY. Now according to the installation company I’ll have to wait another week before I can get the installation scheduled.
As a final note I called Chris this morning and he was NOT available, I left a message and asked him to call. At this point I’m still holding my breath, no call as of 4:23pm PST.
Very poor customer service. Very lousy technical staff. Call me not impressed and Shopping for another system.

I attempted to get information from them about their products. They are not able to provide reasonable answers. They are attempting to hide their lack of abilities. They bombarded me and my staff with calls and emails with hardcore salesmen tactics yet never answered our questions. Worse than used car salesmen with a klunker!
Believe the other reviews– run away!

At first the service/​system was great and then slowly started to decline. When they came out with a new interface format the system lost all of the maintenance records for my trucks. There response was «2) If you do not have records of previous odometers, we would suggest to work through performing these services on your vehicles, resetting the service plans with the new mileage, and they will calculate accurately moving forward.» To service one truck is $ 250! When I asked for credit towards this expensive inconvenience they turned me down.

I haven’t used this company. I got cold called and was actually in the middle of searching for more comprehensive solutions for our fleet. That should have been a cold callers dream but instead the salesman refused to work with me, demanding to work with the owner. He even went over my head and contacted the owner who then informed him that I was the decision maker and in charge of this matter… and I didn’t hear back from him… I then attempted to contact his corporate to complain but the operator couldn’t find his name in her system, and said either way a higher up would call me to follow up… and I didn’t hear back from anyone.

I have to agree with the other one and two star reviews here. They approached me and sounded like a good company to begin with. It didn’t take long before their pompous attitude came out.
The salesmen/​managers are young and overly cocky. I always felt like I was dealing with an obnoxious stock broker when speaking with them. After the demo they were ready to sign me up. I told them that I had demos with two other companies to see before finalizing a 3 year deal. The other companies were half the price, offered more, and better suited for my business. I asked the sales rep what makes them different or worth the extra cost and he basically told me that they are more money because they can. They are so great and so big that he isn’t even aware of the company I was comparing him too because they don’t have to. Even though the company I was shopping them against is top two in my industry. He also told me that they deal with businesses much larger than mine, and if they are good enough for them, then they are more than enough for mine.
I expressed my concern signing a 3 year contract for a service that may not work well in my area and asked if there was a ‘failure to perform’ clause that would let me out of my contract if their product didn’t work in my area. He told me that he expects me to ”Keep up my end of the deal like a man.“
I did eventually go with the other provider and couldn’t be happier. Cheaper price, more options, features (more than just a truck on a map) and better attitude. Since signing contracts with not-​Fleetmatics I have received two follow up phone calls from them. Each time I’ve politely told them that I have signed elsewhere.
Today I received a 3^rd call. He called to tell me about a huge upgrade they just had. Curious, I asked about the upgrade. He told me that it doesn’t really matter since I’m using another company. HELLO! Then why call me about it? After dealing with these people on numerous occasions I can only say how glad I am that I did my due diligence and found the right company for me.

Since posting my review I’ve received multiple emails from other people with the same experience. Below are a few of them.
«I have been getting similar sales calls and hard selling from them. While their product seems like it is a good solution, their mannerisms and approach make me feel like I will regret working with them.»

This service is extremely poor and they won’t let you out of the contract. I feel like I’m dealing with the mafia. They won’t even let you adjust downward the number of vehicles you have. We are selling one of our trucks and will not be replacing it. Fleetmatics is forcing us to pay for the unit, even though it is not being used. READ THE CONTRACT thoroughly before signing. I highly recommend you consider other alternatives first. Also, you have to give at least 90 notice otherwise you will auto-​renew for another term. This company clearly does not have your best interest in mind.

I have used them and totally unsatisfied. Had my sole vehicle out of service for 5 months and was told they would put billing on hold and add the time at end of contrat and use time billed (without vehicle) to pay for replacement cost.
Then they put my account on hold and denied the above.
I note many reports on «rip off» about them
Would urge people not to use this company as they have no ethics

My company has been a customer of FleetMatics for over one year now and we have been very satisfied with the service. After an in depth review of other GPS tracking companies, we went with FleetMatics based off their reputation and ease-​of-​use. The system has helped us improve productivity and has given us extra peace of mind. I can’t imagine to going back to NOT having the Fleetmatics system installed on our fleet of six service vehicles — it has improved our efficiency and accountability ten-​fold. Great customer service and the iPhone app is awesome.

Over the phone when I called them everything was nice. I said to myself what a great company, but when the service was down for many times and I said I want to close my account, they said no, because I signed up the agreement for 36 months with Mr. Lawrence Pritchett. When I spoke with him over the phone and asked, what if I want to cancel my agreement? He said, No problem at any time. He lied to me. Now I am stuck with this agreement. I don’t have anymore my two cars on the road, but they still want my money. My advice. Don’t sign up! until you read very carefuly their agreement. On the phone they can tell you anything, but then when they fax to you an agreement they ask immediately to sign and fax them back. I will fight for my rights. I will file a complain everywhere about this Fleetmatics gps global positioning tracking devices company.
