History
Established in 2015.
Plates was the dream of Chuck and Marlene Smyth who wanted to bring to the Palos Verdes peninsula the excitement and glamour of west side dining but with a more intimate, home town feel. Being able to join with family and friends and enjoy good food, wine and quality artisan beer is what we need in the south bay. The menu, created by Chef Robert Bell reflects his diverse cross cultural experiences as a chef and restauranteur, and it explodes with flavor, color and global influences.
