First thing you need to know is that the Seawolf Suites are located on the campus of Sonoma State University. The second thing you need to know is that they’re extremely inexpensive to stay there and quite worth the money spent. That said, this is not a normal hotel/motel situation. When you’re staying on campus property, you don’t have the usual conveniences of a hotel/motel. For instance, there may be a kitchen available for your use but there’s no cutlery, dinner service, or pots or pans. You have to bring your own. When my fellow and I booked a room at the Seawolf Suites, we were a tad pensive at what we might find. What we did find was a clean, large room with added kitchen and living room. Also, we had access to the University’s gym facilities which we did not use. While the bathroom was also quite clean and tidy, it lacked the modern conveniences of a hair dryer and shampoo/conditioner. To be completely honest, they left us these little glassine envelopes of body wash/shampoo/conditioner but there wasn’t enough in it to wash my kid, let alone my long hair. The other really important thing to know is that these suites are«communal». That means that, even though your room is private and locked(very much like any hotel room), it opens onto a communal area that consists of a kitchen and living room. Off of that there are other rooms so, at any time, you could be living with strangers. That said, if if you have a large family and are looking for a good, inexpensive place to stay while visiting Wine Country, this might just be ideal for you. In any case, I’d probably stay there again. I’d just make sure to bring my own hair dryer and shampoo/conditioner next time. :o)
