I have had massages at a couple of the «chain» massage spots and always leave disappointed. I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders, but as many times as I tell my masseuse, the receptionist, the lady I pass in the hallway — no one ever spends significant extra time on my shoulders.
All this week, I have had extra tightness and soreness in one shoulder. This morning I woke up and could not turn my head without excruciating pain. I had already been looking into Sacred Hour for a possible couples massage, so as soon as I got to work I looked to see how soon I could book an appointment. I got in as soon as they opened for a quick 30 minute deep tissue massage. I told Sean what I needed, and wonder of wonders: he listened! There were stretches and bends I had never experienced before! Then rubs and massages, all in the places I needed. It was awesome!
Thirty minutes was not enough for the number of knots in my neck, but that’s all I could spare on such short notice. But now I can turn my head (wonder!) and I will be returning to work out the rest of the kinks. And with my husband for the couples massage I was looking for. (And I bought a spa package at Lakewood for one of my stressed out employees!)

I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment time and was immediately greeting and seated in the relaxation room with a cup of hot tea.
After 5 minutes Jessica P introduced herself to me and listened to my descriptions of my needs. She provided the best massage in memory. Jessica has strong hands and knew exactly where to go. If I could massage myself, I couldn’t have done a better job! I highly recommend Jessica P to anyone who prefers a strong deep touch.

I scheduled couples massage for my parents for their 40^th wedding anniversary. It was so nice to have everything take care of by your staff. It was a surprise, and they helped me get it arranged and paid for. My parents haven’t stopped raving about how amazing the massages were, and how wonderful it was all around! Thank you for helping me make their day special!

Ditto what all the other positive reviews say. The atmosphere and expertise is on a par with an amazing place I frequented when I lived in Chicago. I too went a handful of times to the «original» location on Madison. Have been so glad to see the business expand and grow, while still charging very reasonable fees or losing a sense of warmth. Men and women alike will feel comfortable coming here. After having received two «just okay» massages in the past few months at franchised locations (because I had free gift cards), I was so happy to return back to Sacred Hour today! Both my husband and I very much needed some TLC, having recently lost a pet. He said Susan did a great job with his massage. Jessica did an exceptional job on the massive kinks in my neck. Highly recommend this place over the many others I’ve tried in the Northeast Ohio area.

This is the best place I have ever been to for a massage. It has a very relaxing atmosphere, knowledgable staff and great attention to detail. I’ve been other places and none compare to Sacred Hour. I got my mother a massage here for Christmas & prior to coming in she was limping due to a knee injury. When she left she at least had temporary relief until she had her surgery and she raved about how great the price and service was while there. I’ve never been disappointed going there and this is the only place I will go.

I’ve been coming to Sacred Hour for many years back to when they had the store on Madison Ave. in Lakewood. This place, as cliché as it sounds, is simply the best. It reminds me of a spa you might find in NYC. If you’re lucky enough to snag an appointment with Tabitha, you’re in for the best massage of your life– however, every other therapist I’ve had was exceptional as well. The pricing is also very reasonable for the quality of service. The lounge where you wait for your massage is dreamy and looks like a page out of a spa magazine with plush fabrics, mood lighting and zen décor. I will ask for gift certificates for my birthday and have purchased them for others. It’s a great gift idea for the person who has everything. Run, don’t walk here!

One of the highest recommended massage places in all of Cleveland. I was extremely excited to surprise my wife and take her here for Valentine’s Day for a couples massage. She’s been under a lot of stress and kicking butt lately working out getting in shape and a professional deep tissue massage was just what the doctor ordered. This hubby was going to get bonus points this Valentine’s Day. I was really on my game this year, took the time and booked the reservation in early January, left my credit card on file to hold the appointment as it clearly states during booking and assured me was just to hold the reservation and no payment is at all required until the day of the appointment.
Got a phone call one week later advising me that my original time of 2:45 wasn’t available so they’d move it to the next available that day, 3:00 instead. No problem!
Time goes on, fast forward to today, one week before my amazingly planned Valentine’s Day excursion. I get a phone call from a polite and pleasant employee informing me they’re calling to collect payment for the booked appointment plus gratuity today one week before per policy. I’m taken aback by this. It clearly stated at time of reservation no prior deposit is required. My conversation ends with the employee telling me she’d check with the owner and see if they could make an exception because I explained my funds are tight and I get paid the Friday before Valentine’s weekend hence why the original arrangement was why I booked in the first place. She agreed and said she’d call me back. Phew! Crisis averted, or so I thought.
An hour later she called informing me the owner refused to make an exception as this is policy and she would not deviate from said policy. My heart was breaking, my perfectly planned finale to Valentine’s Day weekend was crumbling. I pleaded with the girl to have the owner call me, stating I’ve never had such a problem with another establishment during any holiday booking. She said she would call her one more time for me, I thanked her and hung up. Hopes crushed, praying the owner of this highly recommended establishment would have mercy on a thoughtful husband trying to make the day a little extra special.
Hour later. Same employee calls back one more hour later. I can hear it in her voice, I’m done for. The owner refuses to personally call me nor make any exception to her policy which is stated no where on the website, nor during the booking process or even brought up when I was rescheduled one week after the appointment was made. She proceeded to advise me the manager would allow me 24 hours to come up with the money or my appointment is cancelled. I reiterated I had no extra money to front this cost until I get paid on the 12^th. She apologizes one last time and we hang up.
Utterly disappointed. How can the owner of such a renowned and popularly recommended salon have such a cold heart on such a beautiful love filled day? Not to mention lack of customer service skills.
Here I sit, one week before the day I had such big plans for. Crushed and heart broken with disappointment with no chance of redemption because I was only notified one week before of this requirement. You can’t even book a nice restaurant a week out from Valentine’s Day let alone a well deserved day of pampered massage for the woman I love the most and wanted nothing more than to reward her for being my biggest inspiration and love of my life.

Well the business owner sure did get the last word in with her rude and condescending jab she took at the end of her reply by saying — «I’m sorry you don’t have the funds to prepay for the service…». Just wow. My pay schedule nor personal finances shouldn’t be any of your concern. Your only concern should of been keeping this appointment originally and actually getting the $ 160 for the appointment and received a generous cash tip. Not lashing out and personally bashing a potential paying customer. You had every opportunity to make it right between my 3 conversations with your employee or even when I was called back about the reschedule a week after the original appointment was made. Then I could of had ample time to make new arrangements. In what world would anyone especially in this industry want to continue to patronize a business especially after parting ways on such bad grounds. You have a cancellation policy that clearly states on your website that if you cancelled early you are still subject to a fee up to 100% still being charged. I was fine with this. After this experience and it taking me to make the interaction public, she finally agreed to budge an inch and asking I remove this review. I told her I would not because other honest hard working people need to be warned and I would never want anyone else to be in this situation with no chance for redemption this late in the game.

I have been coming here for a couple of years. I used to really love their massages (with Tabitha, Danelle, etc.) I came here this saturday and had a massage with Janelle, and the experience was much less enjoyable. The massage was cut short 7 – 8 minutes for a 1-​hour massage. You can tell that she did not pay attention to details that are important for your relaxation. When the massage pressure was on the legs, her hands kept crashing to mine. The dragging of the chair around the room for her to sit was also disturbing. I was asked to push my head to her hands for an ‘exercise’, but I expected a massage to relax, not to exercise… I hope that the quality of staff will not go down because of the business expansion.

I personally have never been here, but purchased a gift certificate for my mom for a massage and facial. She still talks about it being one of the best massages she has every gotten to this day!

This place is as good as it gets! The facility is extremely clean, inviting, and zen. My brother’s girlfriend treated me to a 75 minute deep tissue massage as an engagement present. Let’s just say that this was one of the best, most relaxing experiences, that I was passed out for at least half of it. The other half, I was bracing myself from the massive knots which were lining my upper back to be rubbed out. What a relieving and RELAXING experience. I feel like a new woman.

Meh. I went for a splurge and booked a 90 minute massage since my back has been bothering me so much. I discussed emphatically that back, neck, shoulders was my area of concern, that I really didn’t care about arms, legs. The massage was great for someone without any lower back issues. In 90-​minutes, the massage therapist spent less than five on my lower back and spent lots of time uncomfortably stretching my legs, which no doubt has some benefit but was unpleasant and I can’t really say that it helped with anything. It was pretty frustrating. I mentioned it at the desk and called back to reiterate that I wasn’t really happy. I was offered the opportunity to pay — full rate — for a 30-​minute massage. Hmm.
I would have rated the place higher, the massage therapist really did have a good technique, but think it’s pretty crappy to 1) ignore client requests and then 2) capitalize on that failure by charging more money to address the problem.

Ok, I really like this place! I was greeted with a wonderful smile, asked to file out a brief medical history sheet & offered some shower shoes. From there they took me to a beautiful waiting room where I hydrated myself and relax before the massage. Lindsay was my masseuse for 90 minutes and she did everything that I asked. It was an awesome massage. I will definitely be back!

I recently ran a half marathon and was looking to relieve some aches/​pains and muscle soreness. I had a 1 hour deep tissue with Jennifer and she was wonderful! All my aches and pains melted away. Woke up the next morning feeling GREAT. I already booked another appointment with her for after my next half. Glad I found this place!

Let me just say, Jennifer is AMAZING! I was having severe neck spasms for days, and after a deep tissue massage she literally cured me. She is incredible and made me feel 100% better. I highly recommend this place and her!

The staff were excellent and friendly. Greeted with a smile and offered a glass of wine immediately. The atmosphere is quiet and very relaxing. The massage was perfect and just the right amount of pressure. The price was reasonable and I would definitely go back.

I took my sister here yesterday as a birthday present. All I can say is WOWZERS! This place is the real deal, and I totally understand why it has such great reviews. If you are looking for a superior, but low-​key experience you must try Sacred Hour. The atmosphere is so calming and classy without being over the top. The dark lighting, colors, and heavy fabrics are perfect for a spa environment. Who wants bright lights and lots of pink when you want to relax? We opted for the chill package — a one hour massage and a facial. We were given slippers upon arriving and offered a glass of wine, which we both declined at that point. We then met the lovely ladies who would be pampering us, and I went off for my facial and my sister for her massage. After our first treatments, we had a glass of wine and relaxed as the ladies prepared the rooms for our second treatment.
We opted for the organic facials as we both have roscacea. It was my first time having a facial and 10-​minutes in I knew that I’d be returning. The smells, the texture, the touch were all heavenly. Not only did it improve my skin, it improved my mind as well. I nearly fell asleep! Being my first facial I was a bit unprepared for the «extractions», but I survived and my skin looks amazing. The only thing I would do differently is not wear my contacts next time. I am really sensitive about my eyes, and I want to stress that (Brittany? Shoot, I can’t remember her name) did NOTHING wrong. For my own comfort, I won’t wear them next time. She was lovely and explained what she would recommend for our skin, and also how often she recommends receiving a facial.
My sister and I both agreed that we received simply THE BEST massages that we’ve ever received. Tabitha, the owner took care of both of us. My sister opted for light/​medium touch, and I opted for heavy as it has been awhile since my last massage. I left with no pain, other than the good kind that tells you your muscles have received a workout. The bed was very comfortable and warm, and Tabitha was very, very discreet. She took time to speak with us afterwards, and also answered all of my questions about their TRIPS. They do TRIPS — to AMAZING places!
My final thought, while they have products, not once were we pressured to buy ANYTHING.

I enjoyed my first experience with SH Spa recently, and will definitely be returning for another appointment. Please see some positive and constructive feedback about my experience as a newcomer below!
Pros:
— Great ambiance, décor and facilities.
— Slippers and scented candles add a nice touch.
— The space is quiet and the staff seems both relaxed and respectful.
— Massage therapist Tracey had over a decade of experience, and it showed. She holds a masters in holistic health and is in pursuit of her PhD, which was clear through her expert advice and professional demeanor. I would highly recommend her service!
Areas for growth:
— Customers could be provided more time to meditate and relax prior to their appointment.
— Front desk demeanor could be more welcoming and warm.
— Small water cups are available, which is great. Consider offering clients a bottle of water upon the conclusion of their massage. Complimentary tea would also be a plus and would add to the overall experience.

I found Sacred Hour by randomly Googling «Swedish Massage». I had never been so I wanted to check it out. mostly because the pictures made this place look super inviting & cozy. I was right. I made a reservation online with Danielle (she was AWESOME & helpful with the tips she gave me). I have been to many places for a massage but I think I just found my new favorite place. The lounge area instantly relaxed me with all the candles burning and the big furry rug. There was relaxing spa music playing throughout & besides that, it was quiet. No one talking, no one on their phones. Perfect. The massage beds are comfortable, the lighting is perfect. I have not one complaint!

I took my wife here for our first anniversary. Talk about a relaxing experience! This was the first time either my wife or I have been to an establishment such as this, and let me tell you, we were very impressed. A serene atmosphere, professional staff, and an overall excellent experience. Not only well we be back, we will send business their way. Completely worth the over an hour drive we took to get there!

After a late & stressful closing on our first house, and all that moving and unpacking, it was time to relieve some stress and give ourselves a break! I was able to schedule a couples massage for a weekend morning with only a few days notice.
We could pick the scented oils we wanted, slipped on some sandals and were handed a glass of wine then taken back to an even darker and calmer waiting room (where I proceeded to knock a water glass onto their nice rug. at least it wasn’t the red wine!).
We were then taken back to a room with two tables, asked how strong of a massage we wanted (as a first timer i went for «medium» and was strongly advised to stay away from «deep tissue» to start, which I’m glad!). Then we were given time to shake down to our underoos and crawl under the warm towels and blanket.
The next hour flew by and when they said we could take our time getting up, I had to ask whether some people never get up. The answer, yes, they sometimes have to go back in the room and wake the person up.

— the body worker I got was TREMENDOUS (sorry, I cannot remember her name)… top of the line real «bodyworker» (i get massages all over the world, very often, and have been trained in shiatsu. So I sing out when I find a place that is there to heal you… not just go through the motions.)
The only critique I had was that the reception area is very cramped with the 4 or so people all coming and going. And when I said I smelled a scent I wanted to buy that I actually smelt being burned as a candle right now, the receptionist just shrugged it off saying it could be almost anything (there are many candles and scents for sale there, if she would helped me figure out which one I was smelling, I would’ve bought it) doh!
I already recommend sacred hour to all the people I was working with in Cleveland… I do wish these talented people could come back to LA with me…

I scheduled a last minute deep tissue massage on a random Tuesday after work. They were able to accommodate my randomness (I had soon-​to-​be wedding stress on my mind and needed a massage). I arrived a couple minutes beforehand and filled out some easy newbie paperwork. They were right on time with my massage and it was ahhhhh-​mazing. So amazing that I barely have time to write this review because all I want to do is continue the amazingness and get a good night sleep. Danielle is incredible and I can’t wait to go back. I am super relaxed!

If you’re looking to relax, this is the place. I’ve been coming here (and only here) for massages for a few years now, and have never had a bad experience. It’s especially good if you’re looking for deep tissue massage; that’s their specialty. Lindsay is my favorite. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place — even my chiropractor said that he highly recommends it because all the masseuses have the right training and experience.
Tip: if you book online, you get a small discount. And if you create an account and get their emails, they’ll send you 10% off discounts every so often.

Oh. My. God. Super, very super relaxing. I’ve been coming here on and off for about 7 years, and now monthly like clockwork for the last year. The service here is absolutely amazing. I think a lot of other reviews say it perfectly so I won’t elaborate too much, but a few key highlights:
— Atmosphere is very quiet, relaxing and professional. Nice lobby and even nicer waiting room. They suggest getting there about 15 minutes prior to your appointment to allow for relaxation.
— I cannot vouche for the other employees, but Lindsay is simply amazing. Due to back and neck problems I’ve gotten various massages over the years, and Lindsay is hands down the best masseuse I’ve ever encountered. Professional, nice, curteous and thorough, I just bought a package of 12 appointments because of her stellar service.
— Easy scheduling with call-​reminders and a very fair reschedule policy.
I understand there is an array of other massage and well-​being services that I have not taken advantage of, but I highly recommend!

This is a boutique spa, so don’t come here expecting to get a plush robe, sauna, steam room, and locker room. The prices are extremely reasonable and fair and I think the owners take the boutique style into account when pricing the services. I had a prenatal massage, and at the beginning the pressure was far too light. However, after a few bits of feedback from me, my talented masseuse was able to continue and finish out my treatment at the exact level or pressure I wanted. My sister had a Swedish massage and she was really impressed with her masseuse and raved about how talented she was at working out all the knots and areas of tension in her neck and back. I came to Sacred Hour at the suggestion of a friend who lives in the area and If I lived closer, I would definitely be a regular customer. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Because I am either hunched over a desk or behind a camera for the majority of my waking hours, massages are not optional for me… they are mandatory. Because I get massages regularly, I have become very particular about what I like/​need. Deep tissue massages are necessary, bonus points if trigger point massage is used. Today, I had one of the best deep tissue massages in a long while. The masseuse, Jennifer, asked me upfront what I wanted her to focus on, stay away from, what type of pressure I liked, etc. And then she spent some quality time getting all of my knots out. All I can say is DAMN, that felt good! And not only is the service good, the ambiance is very tranquil and soothing. Everything is dim-​lit and everyone talks in whispers, so as not to disturb anyone else. As far as pricing goes, I think they are in the right range for the quality you get. Check them out ASAP!
