The Root System

The Root System provided the flowers for my grandfather’s recent funeral. The funeral took place the day after Christmas and the root system delivered the flowers at 7 AM, which means they worked on Christmas to prepare the arrangements. I was incredibly grateful for their professional work at such a busy time of year. Dealing with a funeral this time of year is not easy, but Julie at The Root System went out of her way to make it easier on us. We are very thankful that we chose their shop to provide the flowers and would highly recommend them for any type of function.

I would highly recommend The Root System to any friend, or to anyone planning an event in Connecticut. Julie and her staff did an amazing job creating floral arrangements for our October wedding. They were absolutely stunning. The colors, and rustic details to accent were just beautiful. Julie was exceedingly flexible with the different changes we made throughout the process, and worked to keep us within our budget. She went above and beyond our expectations by dropping off the remaining centerpieces at a local retirement home. Thank you so much!

Went here to purchase an arrangement for the cemetery and it was inappropriate. Had to come home to rearrange the flowers to make it look somewhat decent. Will not go back.

I stopped quickly to get a bouquet on my way to a retirement dinner, hoping that they would be able to put something together quickly. The woman working, who I think may have been the owner, said she efinitely help me. She asked if i had any color or flower preferences, I told her I didnt, and just wanted something pretty for about $ 50. A few minutes later, she had put together an enormous, beautiful bouquet. It was one of the nicest arrangments Ive ever seen. Great colors, superb flower quality. Then, she meticulously wrapped them, making sure they’d stay safe and have water for the car ride. Within the wrapping was a brightly colored piece of tissue paper accenting the bouquet color. She then used a contrating blue ribbon to tie everything up.
I was really really happy with the purchase. The store is also really cute with lots of gift items. The flowers/​plants/​bushes out front looked great too, but i didnt have much time to browse.
