I would’ve given this place a really good review after my first visit here. But when I brought my sister with me to experience what I did on my first visit let’s just say that it was definitely not satisfying. I understand that it can get busy at a certain time of the day but when you’re working on a customer you shouldn’t neglect their needs. There was a definite preferential with the costumers who walked into the spa that day. I’m not saying this place is racist but you can tell right away who gets treated really well. I’ve experienced this in almost every Rockwall nail salon and I know I may not be of the same color of skin of majority of the customers who walk thru those doors. But I should be treated equally just like everyone else who receives the same services.

So I went here a while back, took my whole family for manis and pedis. I didn’t have the best experience, but my kids liked the little chairs for kids so we tried it one more time on 10÷09÷15. My husband got a good mani and pedi, but the rest of us got rush through service. My son said they put cold water in his tub, and they used no liners for the kids. They did my mani and pedi at the same time, giving no chance to enjoy either service. They also skipped the regular services you would get with a mani and pedi. In addition, the gel and nail polish I got was put on light, and you could see through it. THE WORST PART: They barely scrubbed my feet. I was okay with letting the nail issue go, but I went back on 10÷10÷15 to have them fix the foot issue. They were absolute — — –!!! I go in and quietly tell one of them the issue. She announces it to all the rest of the employees. They all start leering at me and taking about me in their language. You can tell! Anyway, the freakin woman «fixing» the issue was SO RUDE AND MEAN TO ME. She poured cold water on me; I told her. Then she pours very hot water on me so I take my feet out and tell her. She yanked my feet back and pushes them on the foot rest and scolds me, telling me twice, «it’s done!» I am not exaggerating! The whole time they are talking about me and leering at me. Needless to say, this is THE LAST time me or my family will ever go back!!! To treat a customer like that when they were the ones who messed up in the first place! I don’t know if they realize it, but we actually pay for services to be completed. We’re not just giving them money so they can act like a job was done! JS

I chose this nail salon based off the reviews and I’m glad that I did. The salon is very relaxing and clean. I had a dip manicure and Vi was my technician. She was fabulous and made sure I was satisfied with her work. I will be returning for my next manicure and pedicure!

This is my favorite nail place in Rockwall… granted I’m just a pedicure girl these days. I have gotten gel put on my nails a couple times here. No acrylic or anything in years. I used to go to Nail Unique and still miss those girls but this place really is better as far as what you get for the price. I tried a couple other places in Rockwall and they just flat out are horrible. Zen Spa does hot stones, scrub and warm towel wraps… and the price is the same as everyone else in town. I don’t know names yet but there are two gals there they are on point with the nails. Keep the foot massage coming… the longer the better!

The best thing about this place is they use tub liners and sanitized tools when doing your pedicure. I’ve been looking for a place in rockwall that does this due to my fear of infection and this place definitely does. The environment is very relaxing and the ladies are nice. I felt well taken care of, they’re so professional. My pedicure looks better than probably any I’ve ever gotten. Today was my first time coming and I’m definitely be coming back.

The place is very nice. It’s decorated very nice and they offer lots of services. But I paid extra for a 10 min massage, and the lady nearly did a thing to me. It was a 10 min light touch. When I asked her to use more pressure, it felt lighter then before. So meh. Nice work, nice polish and kudos from the bacon flavored lollipops.

Not particularly fond of the massage room, it’s not peaceful or calming. The massage itself is, that said I feel like a unique and cared for person here. No matter what anyone says there is a huge difference when you walk in for the 1^st time and when you have been coming for a year. The thing is, they are honest, if they feel you will be waiting for to long or they have appointments that are priority then they will say so! Be happy for honesty, they do not owe anyone an explanation when you just walk in, you could be sitting for a long time.

Love this place so far! I only have one other nail salon in the area that compares. The ladies are always friendly and my mani/​pedi comes out beautifully each time! The atmosphere is very relaxing as well. From what I can see, it is very sanitary and they take extra care to make sure you are comfortable (including conversation), which is important because I’ve been to several salons that are rude and VERY disrespectful. This was a breath of fresh air :).

How rude! Walked in for a fill and a trim and she was obviously disappointed! Told me «we are KINDOF busy why don’t you try again tomorrow». There were 3 other people in the pedicure chairs, and 2 of them were almost done! Insanely RUDE!

I found Zen spa by searching for acne facials. I’m so glad I found this place, and especially Kathy. Kathy is the EXPERT in taking care of your skin. She has broad knowledge about acne. She knows exactly what treatment you need based on your concern. She’s super duper attentive and caring. She follows up with me frequently to make sure I’m doing the skin care routine correctly to give me the best result. Helping her clients looking pretty is her passion. She is just AWESOME!

Amazing and speedy service! I got the deluxe mani/​pedi package for $ 51 and it was worth it! The massage was just amazing that I got with my mani, and my pedi was spot on too. I experienced no pain and no uncomfortable situations! Friendly and polite. I took off one star because I go to the salon to get away from my children and have personal time, only to be greeted at the door by 3 children running around and playing loudly.

My mom and I made a visit to the Zen Spa this afternoon with my 3-​year-​old daughter in tow. This was only the second time we’ve been there (the first and most recent visit being about 8 months ago), and this experience was even better than our first! Upon arrival we were welcomed with friendly smiles! They pulled out a «princess chair» (a small child-​sized pink chair with rhinestones) for my daughter to sit in while I got my nails done. I’m nearly 8 months pregnant and Kathy (the owner) asked me what I was having. It’s something I’m used to, so I thought nothing of it. Several minutes later she approached me with a wrapped box and card. The card was a sweet message of congratulations signed from the staff, and the box had an adorable onesie for my baby boy. Again, this is only my second visit in nearly 8 months, so I wasn’t just a regular they were trying to please… Kathy just wanted to do something nice! Every staff member my mom and I came in contact with was very friendly, and to top it off they did a wonderful job on our nails! I would recommend Zen Spa to anyone and everyone, and already look forward to my next visit! In fact, I created a profile on Unilocal specifically to write this review!

I LOVE Zen Spa! Absolutely my fav place to be every 2 weeks. Everyone is so pleasant and welcoming. It doesn’t matter if I do a basic mani/​pedi or a delux mani/​pedi, they make sure I am always well taken care of. Have yet to find a better spa.

My mother-​in-​law and I got pedicures here and they were fantastic! The hot rock massage was great and even though they were really busy the wait wasn’t very long at all. We will definitely be back!

Spa pedicure is great, but don’t get waxed here! She ripped skin off of my eyebrow and lip. I won’t be back for waxing!

I have used Zen Spa for years, and always loved it. The girls are nice. The man running around barking orders is horrible. But that is another matter.
On my last pedicure there, the lady doing my pedicure cut both of my feet so bad that they bled. Within a day, both of my large toes were infected. They got so infected that after two weeks of treatment, they finally oozed green puss. Within a few days, I also developed a fugus on all of my left foot. I am a healthy individual, I can only imagine what something like this would do to someone with Diabetes, or to a child, etc. I think Zen Spa has seen its better days. They are now cutting corners to save a buck, and their sanitation is not what it used to be. Thanks to this situation, I will NOT be using Zen Spa ever again (or any pedicure place for that matter!).

By far the best pedicure I have received. They use hot stones and do a very good job on massaging! All of the staff was super friendly. Icing on the cake, their prices are great!

Best mani/​pedi place in Rockwall. Basic spa pedi includes hot rock massage, aaaaahhhhhh. Love it!
