Business Owner

David Pinsky, DDS has practiced dentistry for nearly 30 years since receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland in 1983. Inspired to pursue orthodontics, he attended the Academy of Functional and Straight Wire Orthodontics from which he graduated in 1986, and he has continued to practice orthodontics for over 20 years. His group meets regularly every three months to keep abreast of the latest developments in orthodontic procedures.

In recent years, Dr. Pinsky began to envision a center for excellence where all the various elements of dental care could be brought together in one location. In 2001, Dr. Pinsky opened State of the Art Dental Group located in King Farm Village in Rockville, Maryland. His vision is now a reality with a skilled staff of clinical practitioners who provide excellent dental care ranging from white fillings and orthodontics to implants, dentures, and maxillofacial surgery.

As someone who typically hates to go to the dentist, I had a great experience at State of the Art Dental Group. From the professionalism of the front desk staff to the kind and gentle demeanor of Meghan (the hygienist), the experience was fantastic. Dr. Pinsky was very personable as well. Because of the service I received today, I will not dread my visit in 6 months.

I could not recommend this office more. Extremely professional staff. The hygienists are top notch, answer all of my questions, and I just feel extremely well taken care of when I leave. Dr. Pinsky is great. Spends time to talk to you, makes sure everything is going ok. Like I said, I feel like they actually care about my dental health and they are also honest. They were also very helpful when my insurance wouldn’t fully cover the cost of a device I needed.
I just had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted last Thursday by Dr. Berman. He was excellent. Really easy going, explained everything as we went along, and put me at ease about the procedure. I would do it again if I could! Lol, not really, but after everything I had heard about how awful it was to have your wisdom teeth extracted, I was pleasantly surprised at how painless the whole thing was, and I’m sure it was due to Dr. Berman’s expertise.
The front staff is also great. They’re quick to answer questions over the phone, arranged to have my prescriptions ready for pick up early and seemed pleased to help me with a smile. I’ll definitely be recommending this office to anyone I know looking for a dentist.

I had a problem in my account, and Dr. Pinsky went out of his way to resolve the problem. I really appreciate that he called me and explained the problem to me. His busy but he made time to help me out. I am so glad it’s solved cause his work on family teeth was fabulous. I would recommend to my friends. Dr. Pinsky do care about his customers.

My experience is not going so well. My receipts (payments) minus the initial contract charge vs. what I’m being told that I owe isn’t adding up. There are other things that raised a red flag but it was too late to turn back. I might have to to go to OAG to get this resolved. Can’t afford to pay more than what was initially charged. I hate to have to do but this is just ridiculous. I will hold back on adding more information regarding my experience, because it might be resolved without OAG. New front desk reps are much better and very professional.

We recently switched to this practice and the whole family is very happy. Dr Pinski has a very neat personal touch and he cares about his patients. One of his assistants made a big mistake with a quote for a procedure and he took a personal approach himself until he solved it and provided a better solution.

My entire family goes to see Dr. Pinsky. To be quite honest, I have always hated going to the dentist but the office staff at State of the Art Dental is so pleasant that I don’t dread it like I used to. My kids go for their regular check ups, cleanings and now for they go there for their braces. It’s great that I don’t have to go to a separate office for orthodontics. They can clean my kids teeth in between a wire change and their teeth get much cleaner than if they had to clean around a wire. I’m there at least twice a month due to the orthodontics appointments. My husband and I have had crowns, root canals, even oral surgery at State of the Art and although none of that stuff is fun — it was all pretty easy. The staff treats us like family. I recommend this practice to neighbors all the time.

my visit at State Of The Art Dental Group was a very pleasant experience! Dr. Pinsky and his staff are so warm and friendly. He is incredibly gentle and has a great chair side manner. After I had my cleaning and exam he informed me that he does Botox! he did it right there for me, so I didn’t have to come back at another time. I would highly recommend this place if you need a dentists.

Dr. Pinsky is incredibly skilled at what he does and every time I need something done with my teeth he walks me through everything ahead of time. Wow, these guys are great. Got an appointment a few hours after I called and they got my teeth squeaky clean in no time. The staff was super nice and even though I paid out of pocket, I have to say, the price was really quite affordable for the services they provided.
Wish my dentist here in NY was half as good as the guys at State of the Art. Highly recommended.

Relocated and needed to find a new dentist. Severe and sudden tooth pain motivated me to speed up my search. I have NEVER met a better dentist in all my life. Dr. Reiz was professional, extremely competent and actually quite gentle, a great quality for someone drilling into your face! Also, Dr. Reiz uses a state of the art camera thingy to REALLY see the problem and thus minimize the work needed… saving tooth and $$$. He’s also a pretty fun guy with a professional but laid back attitude that puts you at ease.
I was seen on time and everyone from the front office staff to the hygienist (Rita I think), to Dr. Reiz, to the billing staff… all very friendly and great at what they do. I highly recommend!

Dr. Pinsky is hands-​down the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I’ve had a lot of tooth trauma in the past but he filled my cavity with absolutely no pain. With previous dental work I’ve needed multiple shots of novocaine to become properly numb but Dr. Pinsky explained that he injects the drug slowly and positions it precisely so that I shouldn’t need more than one shot. And I didn’t! I was amazed.
He also gave me a mirror so I could see every step of the process and very clearly explained what he was doing. He was incredibly transparent and upfront about the costs of the procedure and it was very reasonable. I will definitely be going to him from now on for all of my dental care.
