I’ve seen Dr. Safavi three times and I’m really pleased with her work. I hadn’t been to a dentist in about 3 years and I totally understand the need for multiple appointments to sort out my various issues properly: 1) to meet me and go over my mouth for general diagnostics including x rays(she doesn’t know what she’s getting into with a new patient so this kind of consultation visit makes sense to me); 2) to clean them(takes a while after 2 years; 3) fillings(again, 45 minutes for 2 fillings, so a legit complete appointment there) and 4) a couple of veneers to finish me off and get me on my way to regular cleanings again. She has a great chair-side manner and my 5 year old daughter is very comfortable with her. Obviously all this treatment is expensive but she handled my sticker shock with diplomacy and helped me break the treatments down by priority and affordability. Lauren the receptionist is very matter-of-fact, for sure, but that’s not a bad quality in the person who’s doing the billing and keeping everything organised! She’s also great with my daughter. The office is clean and every appointment has been very punctual. I’ve been through several dentists in my adult life and I can honestly say this is the first one I can see sticking with for the long haul. Dr. Safavi-Zadeh has been my family dentist for several years and I am extremely satisfied with all the services provided. The office staff is very nice, friendly and polite. We never have to wait more than a few minutes with appointments. Dr. Safavi-Zadeh is an excellent dentist, very knowledgable and gentle, and her dental hygienist does great work as well. Her prices are more than reasonable with my insurance(TRDP/Delta Dental for retired military). No one tries to push products or procedures as mentioned by a previous reviewer. Trust me I know what that’s like as my previous dentist presented me with a $ 6000 treatment plan at my first visit. None of the work that dentist recommended was necessary and she probably would have sold me a car if she could have. Dr. Safavi-Zadeh and her staff are nothing like that. Very professional and every experience has been pleasant, including root canals. I recommend her office to anyone looking for a dentist.

I have been going to Dr. Safavi for years. The office is very flexible in making and moving appointments to work with people’s schedules. The Doctor is very honest and friendly. I live in NOVA, and go up to Gaithersburg to see her, because of the quality of her work. I highly recommend her.

When I first got off my military dependent medical benefits at the ripe ol’ age of 23 I went off to find my own dentist that would accept my insurance plan(Aetna DDO). Lesson number one: dentists are not always looking for new customers so you always have to ask if they are. Which brings me to Dr. Rozita. She is nice, but her cleaning techniques aren’t exactly gentle. For teeth cleaning she uses a water pick which causes my sensitive teeth to ache to no end. However, I don’t complain because I have a pretty high tolerance for pain. While she picks and scrapes at my teeth I sit there thinking, «There’s got to be an easier way.» Overall, I think her techniques are a bit antiquated, which I suppose make them more prone to inducing pain. Heck, getting x-rays of my teeth was even uncomfortable! Even after all of that and a clear bill of dental health(no cavities, yay!), you don’t get any of the free goodies that most dental offices give you. Toothbrush? Nope. Travel size toothpaste? No. Dental Floss? Try again. I guess the satisfaction of having good oral hygiene should be good enough. This place gets the job done, but don’t expect the latest in gentle dentistry or the fancy bells and whistles.
